Dr. Azouz is a native of Southern California. He graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Science before completing the rigorous dental program at the University of Southern California (USC) School of Dentistry. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2000 and immediately began his residency in General Practice at UCLA/West Los Angeles VA Hospital. In this residency, Dr. Azouz gained invaluable training and experience in complicated dental situations and intricate extraction procedures, including the removal of wisdom teeth and dental implant treatment.
After his residency, Dr. Azouz received education and training in cosmetic dentistry, TMJ disorder, proper bite structure, or occlusion at the esteemed Las Vegas Institute. His extensive training also includes sedation dentistry, making him a wonderful resource for patients with any degree of dental anxiety. Following a lifelong interest in improving the bite and the smile with braces, Dr. Azouz trained at the United States Dental Institute, where he became proficient not only in traditional orthodontics but also in the use of Invisalign.
Dr. Azouz is a lifelong learner. He is an accredited biological dentist who has traveled the world to learn from the best. He spends roughly 1 week per month in training courses. Dr. Azouz recently married his love, Britt. Together they have 2 teenage sons, Zachary and Crew. Dr. Azouz lives in Newcastle and enjoys surfing, cycling, sand volleyball, and traveling.
