In 2005, he decided it was time for a change and relocated to the Sacramento area. He opened his practice, Sacramento Dental Group in September of 2006 and has enjoyed his profession ever since. Dr. Javdan grew up in southern California with a passion for research and science. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from University of California Los Angeles, he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures in 2009. While obtaining this degree, he volunteered at community dental clinics and health fairs as well as shadowing a dentist. These opportunities inspired him to pursue a career in dentistry.

To fulfill his aspiration in becoming a dentist, Dr. Javdan attended University of California San Francisco School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2013. Through his efforts with Remote Area Medical (RAM) and UCSF Community Dental Clinic, Dr. Javdan provided dental services for patients with limited access to care. Encountering patients suffering from advanced periodontal disease with hopeless dentition sparked his interest to save teeth through different treatment modalities and further his education in periodontics.

Needing some true Italian food in his life, Dr. Javdan set out to New York and completed a 36-month specialty advanced training in Periodontics at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. During his residency, he taught pre-doctoral dental students in clinic and through lectures. In addition, he presented to general dentists at the Suffolk County Dental Society Meeting. Towards the end of his residency, Dr. Javdan was chosen to participate in the Straumann National Resident Symposium.

Family, sunny weather, and great opportunities led Dr. Javdan to drive 2,865 miles to Sacramento after graduation. He joined the Sacramento Dental Group family practice in the summer of 2016. He thrives on providing quality dental care at the highest level of excellence in a comfortable setting.

Dr. Javdan provides diagnosis and treatment of the various forms of periodontal diseases, dental extractions, soft and hard tissue grafting, placement of dental implants, and sinus grafting. He believes in providing every patient with comprehensive and individualized care.

Dr. Javdan is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Western Society of Periodontology, Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Sacramento Dental Society.

I've been coming to Sacramento Dental Group for about 10 years now and this review is probably overdue. However better late then never! I've only experienced 5 star customer service from all the staff members and Dr.Sarchisian really really cares and you can tell. I trust their recommendations because I know they have my interest in mind. There's no reason I would look anywhere else.

I had an absolutely amazing experience with the Sacramento Dental Group. The entire staff was compassionate and let me know what to expect, procedurally and financially, before they started any procedure. Dr. Sarchisian and his staff made me feel like a V.I.P. This office was very clean and beautiful. Overall, I have never had a better dental experience. If you are looking for a dentist I highly recommend the Sacramento Dental Group!

Liberty Dental Insurance moved me under this group as one of their Participating Providers. After I called to set an appointment, I was informed that this business will not accept new patients under the Plan that I am on. They decided this AFTER they asked for a current fee schedule from the Insurance Company. Why contract with the Insurance company if you won't accept new patients????

I booked an appointment to get my teeth cleaned. I showed up and they examined my teeth and no cleaning. I guess no big deal I'll come back. I book another appointment to get a filling and a cleaning. I had to spend 15 minutes explaining to the woman how to book a back to back appointment for a cleaning and a filling. Apparently it was too complicated to possibly understand booking two appointments. They aren't sure if they are going to take my insurance, I reassure them I'll pay out of pocket with no issue regardless if they do or not. All I asked was a quote for services. We book the appointment several weeks out and I hear nothing (They fall through). I finally get a call several days before the appointment ( which I requested time off at work for) and they tell me they aren't accepting my insurance. I say that's great I honestly don't care can I please get the quote. Then she tells me I assumed you would want to get a different dentist. I tell her that's not what I want please send me the quote. After 3 attempts and three failures trying to explain to her I was happy to pay cash and wanted a quote I gave up. I am trying to be a customer of this business but are honestly so difficult to work with it's not worth it. Their legal forms made me agree to things that didn't even make sense, their office staff were impossible to work with and actually schedule an appointment. I don't get it? Run from this place, it's impossible to get anything done and a huge waste of time.

They couldnt manage to get a fee schedule from the insurance company and claim this is the reason I couldnt have an appointment. Waited 6 months to get scheduled and finally gave up on them.

I called a week and a half ago to schedule an appointment. This was my dental group on record through my insurance. They said they would have to call me back after they check with my insurance. I never got a call back. After a week and a half I decided to call. They then said that they aren't taking new patients with my insurance. I called the insurance company to relay this information and the insurance company was shocked at what they said. Anyway, next.

I recently moved to the area and had to update my PDP. I chose this office since it was listed under my insurance plan and the office was close to my home. My insurance confirmed that this office was within my plan and their contact information was printed on my insurance card. I knew i had a cracked molar that my old dentist had filled. I started experiencing pain again so i filled out all the information on the website to set up a patient profile and requested an appointment. Since I'm 8 months pregnant I wanted to get everything taken care of before going into labor. I never heard back from anyone so after a few days I called to check in. I had to leave a voicemail and they called me back the same day. I was told that they needed to check my insurance before they could schedule an appointment and was told that I would receive a phone call back. Over a week went by and I didn't hear anything back. One day my molar completely cracked and part of it fell out. I called them right away and kept getting their voicemail. I finally called my insurance and asked them to switch me to a different dentist. The next day the receptionist returned my phone call (at this point I had already been seen by my new dentist) and told me that they didn't accept my insurance which is why no one called me back. Overall I had a horrible experience. Maybe they would have redeemed themselves if I could have actually booked an appointment but based on my interactions with them I'm so happy I ended up switching providers!
