Now for the serious stuff. At Ohio University, Dr. Sacksteder graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Following his undergraduate studies, he attended The Ohio State University (Go Buckeyes!) and obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. He then completed a three-year residency program in Orthodontic and Dentofacial Orthopedics at The Ohio State University.
Dr. Sacksteder has earned numerous awards in his career and co-authored articles published in professional journals. He regularly attends continuing education courses and conferences, and remains dedicated to learning, educating others, and staying up-to-date on innovations in the field of orthodontics.
While it might seem Dr. Sacksteder only lives for making smiles beautiful, hes passionate about the outdoors and keeping an active, fit, and healthy lifestyle with his wife Kylee, daughter Ella and their (fur) baby, the one and only Harper The Honey Badger Sacksteder. As a sports fanatic, you can frequently find him standing in front of the television cheering on the Hornets, Panthers, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and LeBron James.

Terrific experience at Sacksteder Orthodontics!!! Dr. James and the staff were all very kind and welcoming. Their expertise and attention to detail was the best from start to finish. I had braces when I was a teenager and this time I went with Invisalign and the end result has been AMAZING! Thank you all so much for making the journey to my new smile a wonderful one!!!

From the complimentary consultation to my first experience getting braces put on yesterday, Sacksteder Orthodontics has been professional, friendly, and encouraging. I have a lot of anxiety regarding any dental and/or medical treatment, and they have done a wonderful job making me feel safe and explaining every step of the way. So happy to have found a place that cares about more than just the money.

This particular establishment worked wonders on my teeth. Great staff as well as orthodontist. I highly recommend this orthodontist to anyone who is in need of their teeth straightened and a miracle all in one. Please go check them out if you are in need of a space being closed or opened up!!!!

Amazing and friendly orthodontist. They got my lingual bar retainer fixed up nice and clean and professional too. I'll Definitely will recommend this place if you got an orthodontist issues .

Excellent experience here. Staff is always friendly and organized and they have the latest tech, which was a huge help for my daughter getting fitted for her expander. Highly recommend this location.

Great staff. They really listen to your needs and work with you to get you taken care of. For me, I lost my retainer and need a replacement, but I was a new patient. Instead of blowing me off for three or four weeks they were able to rearrange and get me in next day and make a retainer in house to hold me over till my long term retainer comes in. And they have a great tea selection in their beverage station!
