Dr. Sacks is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, making him a Board Certified Orthodontist, an accolade achieved by less than a third of orthodontists in the United States. Dentist Eric Sacks was born and raised in Toms River, NJ, graduating with honors from Toms River High School North. He then received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. After college, Dr. Sacks was accepted to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), where he earned his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry degree with honors.
While attending UMDNJ, Dr. Sacks was elected president of his class and president of the Student Government Association, and he won numerous academic and student leadership awards for his achievements. Immediately following dental school, Dr. Sacks attended Montefiore Medical Centers Graduate Orthodontic Program, where he attained his Post Doctoral Certificate in Orthodontics and served as the hospitals chief orthodontic resident.
In his spare time, Dr. Sacks enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Jill, and their children, twins Gracie and Henry. He also loves dogs (he has two Roxie and Riley) and enjoys mountain biking, golf, traveling, and helping support the local community.
Dr. Sacks' father was a surgeon and worked hard to give his patients the best care possible. He allowed his son to shadow him, to follow him as he performed surgeries and followed up with his patients.
This taught Dr. Sacks two very important lessons. First, the doctor's calling is complete, holistic, patient-centered care, and that orthopedic surgery wasn't for him. Instead, Dr. Sacks became an orthodontist because he wanted to care for people and bring patients a little joy as they pursue a healthy, beautiful smile.
Dr. Zhu is very passionate about orthodontics.He looks at each case as an exciting journey that fuels his desire to do the very best for his patients, staff, and profession. Dr. Zhu is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and Northeastern Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Zhu currently resides in East Hanover with his wife and two children. Dr. Zhu enjoys running, photography, films, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
Dr. Zhu looks at each case as an exciting journey that fuels his desire to do the very best for his patients, staff, and profession. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and Northeastern Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Zhu attended The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. After dental school, Dr. Zhu furthered his education by completing three years of orthodontic specialty training and receiving an Orthodontic Certificate and a masters of science degree from The State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Zhu even speaks four languages: English and three Chinese dialects!
Like Dr. Sacks, Dr. Zhu aims to change the perception of orthodontic visits. When you visit our office, youll experience amazing care in a warm, encouraging, and extremely relational environment. Dr. Zhu is a huge part of our goal to make that happen. Dr. Zhu is also fluent in Chinese and happy to speak with and assist Chinese speakers with getting the orthodontic care they need!

Amazing care and professionalism from the moment I scheduled the first consultation for my daughter with Christine to our initial meeting with Dr. Zhu and subsequent visits with the support of Pam and the rest of the team. The overall welcoming atmosphere from the entire staff immediately put my daughter at ease and I continue to be impressed with Dr. Zhu's bedside manner and ability to connect with the children. We were very fortunate to have been directed to Sacks Orthodontics.

Dr. Sacks worked with two of my kids for their orthodontist needs. We had both braces and Invisalign and both were wonderful experiences. The office staff was always incredibly friendly. The technicians always resolved any issues promptly, with patience and care, and of course Dr. Sacks is the best! We can't thank the office enough for my kid's beautiful teeth.

I was referred to Sacks by my dentist to explore Invisalign options. At my first appt, I was immediately greeted by a friendly, professional staff in a very clean, hygienic environment. Alba Loconsole was my first contact / she was front and center. She presented as very knowledgeable and courteous while holding a witty appearance. Alba walked me through each detail and answered many questions. Dr. Sacks entered and validated the reason I was there. He was calm and extremely confident in his delivery explaining the long term effects of Invisalign. I am almost 3 weeks in... Highly recommend SACKS orthodontics! Thank you!!

Everything about today was great from the receptionist, nurse and the doctor. Pam was amazing. She was patient and walked me through everything that was about to happened. Before I knew it I had a full set of braces. When we were finished she talked to me about the video and what I would experience in regards to discomfort after my braces . Dr. Sacks was smooth and quick. I left feeling assured, knowledgeable and comfortable. Thank you I would definitely recommended SACKS!

This has been the best experience with any Orthodontics I have ever had! The place is so advanced and amazing. The staff is so loving and so sweet. The doctor was great and gave me my options but was willing to work with my preferences and Megan was so knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions I had.I've never been happier!
