Dr. Ameeta Sachdev has been in the dental field for almost two decades. While attending dental school in India, she was selected as the Best Student Clinician of India, and presented her table top clinic at the American Dental Association Annual Meeting in San Francisco, 2003. During that period, her interests in dentistry varied from studying dental fear to researching Ayurveda as a holistic approach to dentistry. She then decided to pursue her career in United States and was awarded a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Tufts University, Boston.
After moving to New York, Dr. Sachdev worked in the Bronx: at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center (now Montefiore North Hospital) during her General Practice Residency (GPR). Thereafter, she worked for 3 years as a general dentist at Ezras Choilim Health Center, Monroe, while also pursuing her interest in orthodontics by attending a full time 11 month didactic and clinical orthodontic advanced education program at New Jersey Dental School (now Rutgers School of Dental Medicine).
With the support and encouragement of her family, Dr. Ameeta moved to Denver to complete her orthodontic residency at University of Colorado. Upon her return she has been serving in Rockland County as an orthodontist. She is also an attending at St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx where she enjoys teaching the orthodontic residents. Following her highest commitment to excellence', Dr. Sachdev received her board certification from American Association of Orthodontics (ABO)
Having called North Rockland her home for a decade, she chose to fulfill the orthodontic needs of the community and thus the idea of Sachdev Family Orthodontics (SFO) was born. (SFO, code for San Francisco Airport, is also the first airport that Dr. Ameeta landed in US!). She believes that every relationship begins with a smile and wants to be able to help people Just smile! without any inhibitions. She hopes to use her practice as a platform for making a difference in the community.

Dr. Sachdev has always been amazing with me! Always looking to correct my smile in the way I want it with her pinpoint expertise. She has allowed me on more than one occasion to work with my schedule and even going out of her way to making sure I can get over to her place of work, when I live across the bridge. Alicia and all the her staff always have a smile on their face even through the masks they wear to make sure everyone is safe and comfortable. I've never not had a smile coming out of the building even when I first started coming with my imperfect smile. Now at the end of my Invisalign casings and the braces the eventually had to use to finish correcting my teeth, my last visit with them is going to be a bittersweet farewell. Truly, I recommend anyone looking to correct their teeth to come to Sachdev family orthodontics where they will treat you like family! I will forever cherish my time with them! Ive been with Dr. Sachdev for about two years and I absolutely love all the staff. They are incredibly nice each time I am there and the work they do is efficient and done incredibly well. The environment is a nice one, always clean and organized. And if there was ever any problem they are quick to come with a solution. What makes them better is they have some staff that is bilingual which makes communication better with my parents.

Sachdev Family Orthodontist is the best high quality care you would want and need, in helping you align your teeth to achieve that healthier smile. Doctor Sachdev is METICULOUS and knows how to get you the smile your are meant to have; so please follow her instructions, she will get you where you need to be . Trust when I tell you all of your efforts (you know, the avoidance of the extra chewy foods and crunchy stuff, to not break your wire or bracket),wont go unnoticed, Debond will be spectacular seriously, a well deserved red carpet special . Staff is great and always available to help. Facility clean, frequently sanitized;they make their very best effort to maintain it beautiful and updated. Music is always on point too. We love Sachdev Family Orthodontics. They are truly a wonderful group and they all work well together. The vibes and the positive cheerful energy is amazing. I had used a different ortho for my older daughter, and I thought they were "okay". This experience with my son and Dr. Sachdev really showed me that I was missing A LOT. On the technical side both of my children wore aligners (instead of braces), my daughters ortho. never attached "buttons" ( I don't know what they're called!) to her teeth to help the aligners along. Dr. Sachdev did this and adjusted as needed throughout treatment. My son's teeth moved QUICK and look WONDERFUL. Dr. Sachdev was very careful to be sure each tooth was just where it needed to be. My daughters ortho. never really looked at her throughout treatment and rather just had me pick up new aligners as we went. Night and day difference between the care taken! On the non-technical side, what you can be SURE of when visiting this doctor and her wonderful team is that you will be treated with kindness, courtesy and efficiency! Her staff goes above and beyond to make this a fun experience for your kid. Day 1 they are taking your kids handprint for the wall! There's always cool music playing. My son never waited for more then two minutes to get seated. I never ever had a problem getting an appointment that worked well for us, and if I ever didn't write it down - not a problem! They text you with reminders. AND you can text them too! As we know that is not common for a doctor's office. An especially unique thing they do here is the Red Carpet Finale! Literally, when treatment is complete, they roll out a red carpet, blast some music, give you a personalized gift bag, and should you chose you can struct your new smile down the carpet. My son was slightly embarrassed so his stroll was quick but he really enjoyed it! They do make you feel special here. Can you tell I love this place? Anyway, I would recommend no on else!

Such a wonderful practice! Over the last two years Dr. Sachdev and her team provided excellent care, a friendly environment, and were always so accommodating! Dr. Sachdev is focused on perfect results with superior attention to detail. The level of care, commitment, and professionalism is beyond exceptional! My daughter now has her best smile and we are so very grateful!
