Dr. John Birch is a Northern California native and has been treating children and adolescents in the greater Sacramento area for more than 20 years. He is a part of the local community and enjoys speaking at elementary and preschools to both students and parents. If Dr. Birch is not in the office, you will find him on the golf course or on the sidelines of his children's sporting events.
He and his wife wife Margot have four children, Michael, Ethan, Gabriela, and Sofia along with two English Bulldogs named Zoe and Big Papi. They are very involved in their children's schools and their church. As a family, they enjoy traveling to San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, and Southern California.
Dr. Keilson is a Southern California native and has been treating children and adolescents in the greater Sacramento area for more than 30 years. He takes pride in making the experience for his patients as comfortable as possible. If Dr. Keilson is not in the office, you will find him walking the concourse at Golden One Arena rooting on the Sacramento Kings. He and his wife, Karen, have two children, Kimmy and Lindy. As a family, they enjoy keeping active and visiting Disneyland.
Dr McWilliams is a native Sacramentan. He attended Bella Vista High School. Received his Bachelors degree from University of California, Santa Barbara in 1982 and graduated from University of Southern California, School of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1986.
Dr. McWilliams had a private general dentistry practice in Carmichael for over twenty years and has since dedicated his entire practicing career to hospital based pediatrics. Dr McWilliams treats patients regularly in numerous local hospitals and surgery centers in the area for several pediatric dental practices. Dr McWilliams is the Surgery Center Medical Director for Kids Care Dental and Orthodontics, MEC Dental Director for Fort Sutter Surgery Center, Dental representative on the Outpatient Surgical Services committee at Kaiser South Sacramento and has been the chairman of the SDDS Task Force on General Anesthesia.

We have been going to this office since we moved to the area when our kids were very young. We used to see Dr. Keilson before he retired and now we see Dr. Birch. This office was recommended to us by several of our dentist friends. The doctor and staff are wonderful with kids and it has made dentist appointments quick, easy and "no big deal" for our kids. The fact that they can do cleanings and a X-ray on 3 kids in <40 min is amazing. Would highly recommend.

The kids absolutely loved their first time at thr dentist! There was no one else scheduled at the same time so it was just us in the whole clinic. He let them play with the water pray, the air, and the suction to be familiar with them and not afraid of them next time he uses it on them. Dr. Birch knew exactly how to talk to my little guys to make them feel safe and get them interested. Definitely recommend especially for special needs kids (one of mine is high functioning ASD and would have had a fit if the dentist would have gone in with tools in his mouth right away!) .

My son has been going to Dr. Birch for many years. We have always had a great experience, with not only the doctor, but the hygienist as well as the front office staff. We moved to Folsom but my son insists that we still see Dr. Birch so we make the drive. Well worth it!

You know a place is good when you went as a kid and are now bringing your kids here. Dr Birch and his staff are amazing! We started going when my daughter was 1 1/2 and he eased into the whole process. My daughter, now 3, looks forward to the dentist and climbs onto the table all by herself, no convincing needed. Dr. Birch and his staff are friendly, comforting, and amazing with kids....and parents too

My grandson's pediatrician recommend Dr Birch we were looking for a second opinion and we liked everyone so much we decided to change dental practices immediately. My grandson has special needs and Dr Birch and His staff are the ones to see. He was patient and took lots of time to listen and answer my questions. Like most children going to the dentist isn't something they look forward to but my grandson liked everyone so much he wanted to change too. I highly recommend Sac kids dental they are the best!

Thank you Dr. Birch and Company for providing Mason with outstanding service especially for getting him in on such short notice. Although getting his teeth clean is not his favorite thing to do , both you and your staff strive to make him comfortable as possible while providing detailed explanation( as much as is age appropriate) regarding the health of his teeth. I like your approach to education as it relates to oral health and wellness as he seems to listen to others more than his parents. Thanks again, Jessica:)

So thankful for Dr. Birch! My 3 year old has had a rough time when it comes to her dental work. Dr. Birch and his team really take the time to make sure my daughter feels comfortable and talks with her before anything is done so my daughter is aware of what will be happening. My daughter had severe decay when we came into the office for the first time. We were able to get her procedure done at Kaiser and will not go anywhere else for follow up treatments. I am so grateful for this office as they have been life changing for us. We have been to 3 other pediatric dentists and NONE of them compare! Really grateful for everything and hope Dr. Birch and his team know how truly impactful their work is to both my daughter as the parent, as well as me as the parent.

Dr. Birch is always amazing. A laid back cool cat! He always makes time for the parents to just talk. The office is top notch from the moment you walk in the door until the moment you leave. Everyone is a joy to be around! He's beyond great with the kids! The kids love him. My kids are teenagers but I'm sure I've seen adults that he had as kids still come in. Thank you Dr. Birch!!

We love Dr Birch! He is absolutely amazing with my 5 year old son. He is warm, friendly, funny, and gets down on my son's level to help him not to feel scared or nervous about dental procedures. The staff is wonderful as well. 100 stars!

Dr. Birch has done an amazing job with my boys. We started going to Dr.Birch, because my oldest (4 at the time) was having a hard time with feeling anxious about letting a dentist work on him. My son immediately gave Dr. Birch limits on what he can do, and Dr. Birch made my son feel comfortable and confident being at the dentist. Dr. Birch has been helpful in being proactive and quick in addressing any problems that come up for the boys, and takes the time to show and explain to me what is the problem. He will help your kiddos feel comfortable, safe, and still leaving feeling excited to come back.

Dr. Birch was kind, professional and interacted well with my two young kids. The hygienist was great explaining the tooth cleaning experience to my 5 year old. It was an excellent experience completely different from our previous dentist, which was flashy but didn't spend the time explaining anything. My two kids are actually excited to return.
