I became a dentist because my father was a dentist, and when I was 15, I actually would go and work with him in the office. And my father had a wonderful life. He was able to provide for his family, and I thought that would be a wonderful profession to get into.

After I turned 21, I decided that that was what I wanted to do, and I dove right into it, got the grades necessary to go ahead and pull it off, and I enjoy working with people as well. And the funnest part about dentistry is creating really beautiful smiles, where you have a case where someone comes in and their teeth are kind of crowded, or if they're dark, or something like that, and we can just make their teeth beautiful by either straightening them or doing crowns on the front or whatever it takes, just lighten them up and make them pretty in the front, and those are the most rewarding cases.

Dr. Chad Thompson grew up as the child of a dentist, and he loved it so much he wanted to do the same for his own five children! He earned his DDS and began practicing in 1996. In 2010, Dr. Thompson began serving the wonderful community of Airline.

Dr. Thompson loves helping each of his patients create the beautiful smiles theyve been dreaming of. And patients love seeing Dr. Thompson, too! He credits their appreciation to the kind and wonderful staff we have here at Sabal Dental in Airline.

Dr. Thompson believes that life is a grand adventure with a set amount of time, and he wants to use that time wisely. He is very proud of the five children he has raised and the 24 years he has spent serving in the Young Mens Organization at his church. In his free time, he enjoys kiteboarding and fishing.

I 've always been good at science and music, and I ended up not going into music, so science was that. And I 've always loved the dentist, loved going to them when I was a child. And so I was thinking, 'Where do I want to go with what I know?' And that was dentistry.

And so as soon as I decided that, that was a straight track. I like helping people. It feels good to do something I'm good at and make a difference, feel like I'm contributing. And so I think that's my favorite part.

Dr. Jessi LaPointe is a Corpus Christi native who has always loved going to the dentist. Its part of why she became a dentist herself. She also loves being able to combine her loves of science, art, and helping others into a profession. Dr. LaPointe received her BS in Biomedical Sciences from TAMU-CC and went on to Baylor College of Dentistry where she earned her DDS. She began practicing in 2012 and joined our team in 2018.

Patients love Dr. LaPointe because she is gentle and understanding. She doesnt pass judgment, and youll love her positive attitude! In fact, helping patients thrive is the best part of Dr. LaPointes job! In her free time, she enjoys reading and crafting. She is also very active she ran two half marathons in 2019 and is training for more in the future!

I enjoy coming here Dr. Vasquez is really professional and always explains everything is doing. The ladies in the office are always so nice when you come in and help answer any questions that you have. Amazing staff, friendly always going above and beyond . Had to take my 3 yr old to my appt and they were so nice about it and even went to extent to print her out a coloring sheet off of dental website. They were explaining to her everything the hygienist was doing to me. Amazing experience .

The most caring Staff we've ever had! These guys are so wonderful. Dr. Vasquez and ALL of his team including Rene are the most genuine people you could ever meet. I know people cringe at going to the dentist but this place is fun great conversations and professional dental care. We've gone here for almost two years now as I'm having major dental work. Implants and all. They've been so informative along the way and always make sure everything is good to go. I would seriously vote this the best dental practice in the south Texas region. Seriously they that good!

I used these folks strictly out of convenience for several yrs. Their work was never impressive or ahead of their competition by any means, more pain than I'm used to, but I'm a creature of habit and the girls up front were nice, so I continued using them. It almost came across as going to a dental school with the understanding that they are practicing for a reduced rate in my opinion. Then a supposed permanent installed crown in 2019 randomly fell off while driving down the road. Not eating, chewing, or anything. I called the office and they got me in quickly. They verified that there was no new decay or damage to the crown that could have caused the issue. The Dr. reinstalled the crown. Then they walked me to the desk and attempted to charge me for the dentist correcting his poor work originally. I informed the girls up front that I won't be paying for the same permanent crown just a few yrs apart. They argued seeming to think permanent has a expiration of less than the couple yrs my crown was in my mouth, but then told me not to worry about it and there would be no charge. I left only to get a bill from them a couple weeks later where they billed my insurance, myself, as well as a letter banning me from their practice. It would seem you can't be a patient at Sabal Dental unless you are willing to pay as many times as they wish for supposed permanent work. I prefer dentist that do good work, and stand behind it!

I have been a patient and customer here for several years. This practice has never been overly impressive but it was pretty convenient and they had a good way of getting you in to appointments last minute. However, my experience here hasn't been the greatest. Temporary crowns have been put on with so little cement that they're PAINFUL or just fall off within a few days. I went in and had them put on a crown that I found out wasn't even mine! It didn't fit right and it subjected me to another office visit and all of the nonsense that entails. I had a hygienist tell me he thought I was older than I am due to the amount of work my X-rays show.... That was belittling and made me feel self conscious. I had a crown done that the bite STILL isn't correct.... Or that's what they have claimed since they put it on. It still hurts when I bite even though the tooth has had a root canal. NOT SURE HOW THAT WORKS! My husband's crown fell off after two years and they told him he wouldn't be charged for it but then sent ME a bill for it. I'm exhausted over dealing with issues from this place. I should have found a new dentist years ago. Recently, they "regretfully informed" my husband that he is no longer welcome at the practice due to his attitude over being billed for the permanent crown replacement. He still gets "open appointment" text messages regularly... I can't decide whether they're really this terrible at customer service or if they just do the bare minimum to get by. I'm glad they gave me the push to find a new dentist.

Cannot express enough how amazing the entire team at this Sabal Dental location is. I have never been a fan of multi dentist offices... but this office has changed my mind. My husband and I have been new clients this year and have needed extensive dental work. This office is super clean, all of the staff treat you like family, they have the latest and greatest technology, and billing is a snap. Dr. Vasquez is most friendly dentist I have ever had, he takes the time to explain everything and answers all questions or concerns. Best of the best in our book.

I was nervous about visiting the dentist; it's been a few years since I got a cleaning due to COVID, moving, and finances. Sabal is relatively close to my house so I decided to go for it. Hanna(Hannah? Not sure on spelling) was very kind and gentle. She did a great job of explaining each step she took with me and listened to my concerns. The Dr was also great at explaining suggested treatments. The cleaning and XRay process was relatively quick, definitely painless. I'm looking forward to regular services now that I found a reliable location with kind staff.
