As the first pediatric dental practice in the New York Community of Downtown Rye, RyeSmiles Pediatric Dentistry is also the largest and oldest. Deborah Troy, DDS, Charles Yau, DDS, board certified and the team work together to ensure all patients and their families feel safe and comfortable in their care, no matter what your childs needs may be. To ensure their patients receive the best care possible, they also work with local pediatricians.
The practice dedicates itself to providing gentle, personalized care to children of all ages. With more than 30 years of experience in the community, the team has specialized training to care for children with special needs and medically complex patients. The experienced dental team even offers sedation dentistry, including general anesthesia, for their patients.
The team offers pulpectomies (baby root canals),silver diamine fluoride, the ICON white spot treatment, and glass ionomer restorations. They also use DryShield and Ivory ReLeaf products to ensure patient comfort during teeth cleanings,while minimizing aerosols. To reduce numbness after treatment with anesthetics, the team uses Oraverseis available for those children who will be uncomfortable post-operatively.
The office is open six days a week, but the team is available 24/7 for emergencies. A provider is always on call, even on nights, weekends, and holidays. The doctors both live in the Rye community for easy availability.

My 2 year old just went for her very first dentist appointment. Everyone was so pleasant and the space is so fun and inviting. Everything was explained to her and she got to touch all the instruments before using them. She even got to choose the flavor of toothpaste used so she felt involved in the entire experience. She left saying how she had fun and kept saying 'my teeth all better, nice and clean' throughout the day

LOVE this place. The entire staff is wonderful (knowledgeable, kind, funny, patient...), the office is a playground and the prizes are plentiful so children love it too. After years of routine appointments x 4 children we needed an emergency Saturday appointment and we were able to go immediately and have the issue fixed. It was very reassuring. This is the absolute best pediatric dental office and both Dr Troy and Dr Lau are fantastic.

My son has autism and we go here. The dentist Charlie is extremely patient and loving to my son. He is also very knowledgeable and provides great care. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Debbie Troy is just the best !! My young adult son is Autistic and very difficult to get a cleaning. Leave it to Dr. Debbie she was able to clean Steven's teeth today. She has lots of patience and is very calm and caring. Her staff is just as wonderful. Thank you for taking such good care of Steven.

I can not recommend them enough. Dr. Charles and Dr. Troy and the entire staff are friendly and amazing with my children. They seem to know how to deal with every type of child (nervous, shy, etc) and are able to send them all off happy. They have gone over and above to make sure that their office is now clean and safe in Covid times and I have no doubts or fears that my kids are safe.

I adore this practice. My second child just had her first visit, while at the same time my first was getting sealants on her molars. It says something that these girls (3 and 7) were both in separate rooms and didn't mind in the SLIGHTEST when I went away to check on the other one, and I didn't feel any fears about this arrangement either because I trust so completely in the care these professionals give to their patients. They take care of the kids both emotionally and dentally, making sure the visit is comfortable and fun, so that I now have two daughters who LOVE going to the dentist.
