Welcome to Rye Pediatric Dentistry. We are a pediatric dental practice whose doctors are specifically certified in treating children. We strive to provide quality dental care to infants, children, adolescents, and those with special needs. Our mission is to deliver care in a compassionate and respectful manner so that your child has every opportunity grow and remain healthy. As such, a visit to our office should no longer be regarded as just a dental visit, but a health visit.
Having a playful, child-friendly atmosphere is essential in making children feel welcomed. The office has been built with a childs overall health in mind. The office is also proud to implement renewable building materials, no VOC paints, lower water usage, lower paper consumption all lending to a better environment for patients and staff.
Dr. Chu received his Bachelors of Science in Environmental Toxicology from the University of California at Davis. He received his Doctor of Dental Science Degree from the University of the Pacifics Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. During dental school, he served as Class President
Dr. Sinnarajah is a native of Toronto, Canada. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, where she graduated top of her class. She received her dental degree from Columbia Universitys College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Sinnarajahs peers in dental school recognized her exemplary leadership and elected her Class President
The staff at Rye Pediatric Dentistry takes great care in making your childs dental experience a wonderful one. The staff members undergo thorough training and constantly participate in continuing education. If you ever have any questions, please dont hesitate to ask any of our staff!

Incredible experience for my two toddlers! They have movies and a treasure box for entertainment. They also spent time walking me through what to expect and how to care for my toddlers' teeth. Very impressed.

Thank you to the dentists Dr. Chu and Dr. Sinnarajah for caring for my 4 year old daughter! She was in great pain due to her various cavities. Their amazing intervention was Godsend and it was as though my daughter had private dentists that always updated us and provided her with the best care even though this was our first visit. Truly compassionate, thoughtful, caring and highly professional. Sheyla at the front desk demonstrated great customer service and follow up! Truly grateful to the entire staff!

I could not be more grateful for Dr. Sinnarajah and her team. Last week my 8 yr old knocked his 2 adult front teeth out at the playground. Within an hour Dr. Sinnarajah was working on him to protect his nerves from damage. 2 days later she repaired the lost teeth with whatever magic they perform there... and today he looks good as new. This team is amazing and I am so grateful for their responsiveness, kindness and great work. These folks are phenomenal!

We were told not to come back after violating their covid protocols (my wife just went to see how her daughter was doing so it was 2 masked adults in one room). I mean cmon - Its a pediatric dentistry - unvaccinated kids slobbering all over the place is basically their business model!

Dr. Sinnarajah is a wonderful dentist. She is professional, thorough, punctual and really puts my son at ease with her warm and attentive personality. Highly recommend, especially for children who are anxious about going to the dentist.

Great experience at Dr. Chu's office! As much as my girl likes his warm and welcoming care, the staffs are beyond next level! Harumi at the front desk gives devoting and exquisite help for all the families visiting Dr. Chu's office! Kids will instantly love Dr. Chu and his staff!

My daughter was afraid of going to the dentist. Dr. Paul Chu met with her and talk about dental care with his "dino". Jessica immediately bonded with Dr. Chu and his interaction with her has made our visits to his office a great experience. Dr. Chu takes time with each patient; he talks with them, explains what will be happening and gets the children involved with their dental care. I would highly recommend Dr. Paul Chu for pediatric dentistry.

I was so nervous about bringing my 3 year old to the dentist for the first time, but Dr. Chu and his staff made us feel like we were having a play date, all while inspecting and examining his teeth.. I have to say that the whole experience was such a positive event. Dr. Chu not only teaches kids about taking care of their teeth but he also takes the time to educate us parents on how and why we need to stay ontop of their oral hygiene.. I give Dr. Chu and his staff 5 stars all the way and will highly recommend him to all my friends..

This past summer my husband and I were given some pretty scary news that our 4 year old would need extensive dental surgery. After an awful experience at another pediatric dental practice, our pediatrician from westmed rye, as well as several of my husbands clients referred us to Dr. Chu. My pediatrician raved that he is the absolute best there is and that our little girl would be in the best possible hands. Dr Chu and his staff over exceeded our expectations. He spent hours on the phone with us explaining everything to us in the most precise detail. He sent my husband and myself emails to touch base, check in on our daughter and responded to any questions or concerns we had. He treated us with the utmost kindness, respect and compassion. He knew how scary this was for us and always helped to reassure us. Dr Chu also spent hours of his time helping us battle our health insurance who were unfortunately trying to deny coverage for our daughter's extensive hospital dental surgery. He personally called my insurance himself and fought until they covered it. Marguerite, the office's front desk supervisor, was also in constant contact with me leading up to the surgery to make sure everything was in place. She answered my many phone calls and emails and was also patient, kind and beyond helpful. The day of our daughters surgery was one of the scariest days of our life. Our daughter went under general anesthesia for 3 long hours. Dr Chu, as well as all of his staff, were absolutely incredible. He held our hands and comforted us while we cried and promised us he would take excellent care of our little girl. It's not often you meet a doctor like Dr. Chu, a doctor who treats you with such empathy and grace. He never made us feel like it was "our fault" and saw two very scared and concerned parents in front of him. Instead, he took this opportunity to help us learn how to better care for our daughters dental hygiene and preventative measures. After her surgery he frequently called to check in on her and gave me post surgery advice on how to care for her. Our daughter loves going to the dentist now and is much less fearful. All of the office staff, as well as Dr Sinnarajah, are just wonderful. Going to the dentist is no longer a dreaded experience for our daughter instead something she has actually come to look forward to! We are forever grateful for Dr. Chu and the amazing care he has provided. He is by the far the best there is !

Dr. Chu and the entire staff of Rye Pediatric Dentistry are amazing. My son has some issues with anxiety and had a very difficult time with having cavities filled by our family dentist, the vibration of the tools stressed him out and made for a very long and stressful experience, so our family dentist recommended Dr. Chu. From the first appointment through the next my son's anxiety about getting cavities filled have been changed for the better. Dr. Chu called me personally before the first appointment so he could get an idea of my son's issues, previous dental experiences, and even about what activities and characters he likes, which was extremely helpful. They took my son in and first showed him how to correctly brush his teeth, they offered him movies (Lego Ninjago and lots of other kid friendly options) to watch during the procedure and constantly praised him for his good behavior (the praise worked more to induce good behavior and calm) and gave him "extra" prizes for being so good. Everything about the experience was calming and positive. My son left the office every time feeling good about himself and never afraid or worried about returning. I highly recommend Dr. Chu for any child with even the slightest bit to major anxiety.
