VA sent email referral for one week. WENDY became angry agressive after I called today for appt. I asked her to please look for the referral and she went ballistic! WENDY stated, "I know my job GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!" WENDY disrepected a highly decorated veteran who has given her ALL. GOD bless you WENDY, your hatred of veterans was exposed by your verbal abuse today.

I live near Sarasota Lakewood Ranch area and my dentist was bought out by a large company called Sage Dental. My dentist left so I had to use theirs. The hygienist took an X ray at the beginning of this year and recommended some work so I said whatever you recommend. So they opened up my tooth and the dentist said oh I think you might need a root canal. So they put a temp on and rescheduled for another surgery. Waited 2-3 weeks and they opened it back up (I hate needles) and he after he puts the temp on, he says we need to go back in there and that I have long roots. Waited again and he opens it up , this is the 3rd time of getting needles etc. He takes an impression for the crown and reschedules while they wait for the crown. I show up to my appointment and they don't have my impression yet. So they didn't call me to inform me, so while I was there they fixed my temp and I had a small chip on my front tooth that they "fixed" . So it was time for my cleaning and while I'm there I asked if they can put the impression on bc it's been a long time with the temp on. They couldn't find my impression AND they said we have to do another one. Someone says from the back that there is an impression in there that's been there for awhile with no name on it. They look at it and say yes I think this is his. They tried putting it on and took the temp off and it didn't fit. Put more cement in my mouth and said we will order another one. Had another cleaning scheduled (this shows how long this process has been) and they said we can clean your teeth without having the crown. I asked is my crown there yet and they said we don't know but will look into it and call you. I flew to Las Vegas at the beginning of July to get to Lake Tahoe. While traveling my chipped tooth that they "fixed" fell out and my back tooth where they still have the temp was killing me. I called on July 5th and left a message for them to call me to see if they can call in an antibiotic or pain reliever and no call back. Spent all day and night in Vegas with horrendous pain. Called a local dentist and they said they can squeeze me in but they don't like going behind other peoples work. Showed up to the dentist and they took an X ray and said I need a root canal and that the dentist in Florida never finished it. He did not do root canals and that I need to see an endodontist. They called around and Shipp said he can do it at 1:45pm and it's 9am so I'm just waiting, they call and said we can do 10:15 and I'm so excited for this needle to get me out of pain. I was welcomed to a friendly reception person Wendy I believe and then an extremely cool lady comes and takes great care of me by the name of Sorita. The doc came in and he exuded confidence that he can take care of this and he will knock this out. While I'm having another root canal on the same tooth. Sorita is rubbing my arm and putting me at ease like a family member would. I was literally crying that I was being taken care of and tearing up just writing this review. Later that day Sage dental finally called me back and left a message stating they are short staffed. Next time I need dental work, I just might fly to Vegas to have Shipp take care of me!

Root canals can be a scary thing. I was definitely nervous but Sonita and dr Shipp are the best and kept me comfortable the whole time. Their technology and methods are gentle, effective and I had a wonderful experience.

Root Canal I came in for what I thought was going to be an evaluation (s I was referred by another doctor) and walked out and hour later with a completed Root Canal, amazing for sure. I have had multiple root canals and this was by far the least painful. The procedure itself took just over 30 minutes, half the time he estimated. I hate Novocain shots always have but these were quick and barely noticeable. The office is a oiled machine from online forms to make paperwork easy, to various staffers working together making sure your experience is fully explained and moves quickly. I don't give 5 stars easily but as far as a Endodontist experience goes this office deserves it.

Today I had a root canal procedure that had to go through a bridge. I was very impressed with Dr. Shipp. I have had poor experiences in the past during gum surgery and root canals. Sometimes I felt sharp pain when nerves were touched. I told him I was nervous and he listened and addressed all of my concerns and questions. I asked him to give me a lot of novocaine and following that, I felt no pain. Dr. Shipp is very professional and kind. His assistant was wonderful and kept making sure I was fine. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. I really can't write enough about this experience. If you need a root canal, this is the place to go. Thank you Dr. Shipp!

I was referred to Dr. Shipp years ago, after a different endodontist was unable to complete my root canal over two visits, and even warned me I might have to have the tooth pulled. Thankfully Dr. Shipp was able to complete the root canal for me quickly and pain free. Now years later I needed two more root canals, and I knew exactly who I wanted my dentist to refer me to. Dr. Shipp is just amazing at what he does, and I'm so grateful for him and his staff, especially during these stressful times. I only wish he could be my regular dentist!

I absolutely have to recommend Dr.Ship for any root canals you may need. I have had nightmare experiences with root canals until I found this office about 8 years ago and I should have wrote a review sooner . I will Never let any other dentist do a root canal Except Dr.Ship. I experienced no pain he makes sure you are fully comfortable his staff are amazing and comforting. Trust me if you need a root canal DONT hesitate to make an appointment! He's really the Best!

Dental procedures have always been a nightmare for me as I am a "high risk" patient due to allergy and other medical complications so when confronted with needing a root canal I was terrified to put it mildly! After being cared for and treated by Dr Shipp and his wonderful staff I can say as long as I can have Dr Shipp do any future treatment I will be totally at ease. Procedure from anesthesia injections to final sealant was TOTALLY PAIN FREE! He and his nurse Sherrie are caring, compassionate and put you totally at ease during the entire procedure and Wendy, his receptionist, is very sweet and helpful! Thank you all for such a pleasant dental experience --I truly didn't think it was possible!!

I was pleased with all aspects of my visit. I arrived early and they were able to get me right in. Everyone from the front desk, to the assistant, to Dr. Shipp himself, were wonderful. The assistant made sure I was comfortable throughout my entire visit and Dr. Shipp carefully explained every step of the process to me as he was working. One of the most pleasant (for an unpleasant procedure) experiences I have ever had in a medical professional's office. I would highly recommend Dr. Shipp and his office if anyone ever has need of his services. On a final note, as I was reading reviews from other customers, I have no doubt that if they gave a one-star review, that Dr. Shipp's office would truly address that concern and try to rectify any misunderstanding or poor experience or service they felt they received. They are one of the few businesses I've ever seen to respond directly to a poor review to try and address customers' concerns.

Everyone helped make one of the least pleasant(understatement of century) experiences very pleasant. No one wants to have a root canal but when you need one, you NEED ONE!! Look no further if you need one. Dr. Shipp and everyone in his office is wonderful. His assistant(sherry?...sorry if I got name wrong) was amazing...helped make me comfortable and explained all. Was in amazing pain going in and experienced no pain at any time during procedure and none since, which is the goal when you have a bad, aching tooth. I hope not to ever need to get another root canal, but if you are in need...this is the place.

Efficient scheduling, careful and conservative diagnostic approach, swift procedure by nurses and Dr Shipp. As a team, this office salvaged a nightmare scenario (not of their making) in which I needed a root canal but couldn't isolate which tooth required it. With excellent bedside manner and extreme patience over multiple visits, they figured it out and immediately resolved it. Having had one prior root canal elsewhere, I recommend Dr Shipp's practice wholeheartedly and exclusively.
