I lived in SWFL for 5 years and Dr. Donovan was the most outstanding health professional I found. He is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, professional, thorough, considerate, empathetic and gentle with the Novacaine shots. His office is absolutely spotless; with the most up date equipment and technology. The fact that Dr. Donovan has all of these attributes and all this technology at his fingertips obviously results in successful outcomes at his practice. And his office staff, every single one of them; Betsy, Leeann and Monica are wonderful too; professional, kind and helpful. Betsy and Monica go above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable before during and after the procedure and Leeann is so orgranized and thorough when it comes to dealing with insurance companies. I had an extremely complicated case involving a massive infection, 20 year old implant removal on teeth 10 and 11, right on the curve of my smile so trust me when I say I have spent ALOT of time in Dr. Donovan's office. if you live anywhere in the SWFL area, dont even consider going to another periodontist, no matter what your issue is.

I will start by saying Dr. Donovan and his medical assistants are incredible. I was super pleased with their work. It's his office secretary who I'm extremely disappointed in. She knew my insurance was out of network and I was totally OK with that. I just asked her to submit to my insurance to see what they would cover and they sent me a predetermination latter saying that they would cover all $2500 of my procedure so I went ahead and booked the appointment. I had my implant put in in October and after several weeks went by Andrea reached out to me to ask when that tooth was originally extracted. I had to contact my former dentist to find out the extraction date and I got back to her to let her know. She's then submitted the information to my insurance company well after they requested it and we'll after my procedure was already done. My insurance then decided not to cover it and I was stuck with an unexpected bill. Had I known my insurance asked this question prior to my procedure that she scheduled and that they weren't going to cover it I would've been able to plan better, but she put me in a difficult position and express no concern with her nasty attitude over the phone. Her sarcastic tone was appalling at best and instead of owning up to her error and working with me, she just threatened me with debt collections and said, "You signed the paperwork that said you'd pay". Yes, I did, but I also thought she'd possess integrity and morals and not purposely back me into a corner to collect on a bill I didn't expect because of her lack of doing a thorough and timely job. She is extremely rude and doesn't match well with Dr. Donovan and his sweet nurses.

I have serious dental anxiety, and was referred to Dr. Donovan for some necessary treatment. I am so grateful for finding this dental office. Everyone there is very warm and friendly, and Dr. Ryan is absolutely very kind, and caring to each patient. I had to have some extensive work done, and he did it all in a very professional and concerned manner. He also calls to follow up to see you are doing, which is nice.

I just moved to Florida and suddenly needed oral surgery. I knew no one. I met with several dentists and dental specialists and was underwhelmed. Then I got a referral to Dr. Donovan's office. Hallelujah! The entire staff are warm and welcoming. Dr. Donovan takes his time to explain the procedure as well as make sure you are comfortable. I am among those scared of dental work, but my procedure was a breeze. His office prices also are lower than the others I looked at. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ryan Donovan and his office.

Dr.Donovan completed a crown lengthening procedure that involved removal of some tissue and bone in preparation for a crown replacement. The experience was beyond my expectations in the level of professionalism, care for my well being, and excellence in all aspects of the procedure. Dr. Donovan was careful to ensure my comfort throughout the procedure and was adept and thorough in his work. Recommend him and his staff without reservations.

I had a procedure done that required bone grafts and some very deep cleaning. I did not feel any pain or discomfort throughout the entire surgery. Great Perodontist.

My wife is 61 years old and recently had root scaling/planing done on her teeth below the gums. Shortly after having this procedure completed, she had to have four tooth extractions done and will now need to get a partial for her newly lost teeth as a result of having this type of deep cleaning. This was done because her dentist would not clean her teeth without having this done and therefore; referred her to Dr. Donovan. (She has no cavities or fillings in her teeth.) won't be going back to this practice . According to our newly acquired dentist, this procedure should not have been performed because there was no benefit in doing this. The damage from receding gums, her age and previous deep cleanings could not be reversed. Dr. Donovan should have came to this same conclusion. I say this because she was not having any pain or other problems before this. Her dental history clearly shows that she had previously been treated for receding gums and had significant bone loss-which increases the probability of tooth loss. She was told this several years ago and also told that she would eventually incur some tooth loss. She excepted this fact, however; this procedure accelerated the tooth loss instead of letting this issue resolve itself.

This practice is outstanding! Everyone I dealt with was nice, caring and professional. Dr. Donovan is a highly skilled periodontist. He took the time to review my medical history and asked me questions about it. During my procedure he repeatedly asked if I was okay, or if anything hurt or if I needed a break. It's so reassuring to feel cared about during a procedure. He takes the time to explain what the next step is, which is very reassuring. The whole procedure took less time than I anticipated, which I think is a testament to his exceptional skills. His assistant, Monica, was very thorough and went over the post-op instructions before my procedure started, which was very helpful. She is such a nice person, but very professional at the same time. LeAnn, at the front desk, is very nice also and accommodating in scheduling future appointments. All in all, what could have been a difficult experience turned out to be very pleasant. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone needing periodontal work or implant surgery.

I couldn't have been happier with Dr. Donovan. Two difficult molar extractions this morning and I'm not even in need of pain meds tonight. The site of the now empty area is very neat and professional looking. He also used the best anesthetist. He actually numbed the area on my hand where the IV was going to be started so even that wouldn't hurt. It was the least painful IV start I've ever had. And finally, he made his signature personal phone call tonight to make sure everything was good, and left his cel phone # should anything change. True professional who cares and goes the extra mile!

I was terrified to have my gums grafted and kept putting it off. After my free consultation with Dr Donovan, I felt a little better. He is so kind and patient. He explains everything very well, he assured me that he would take care of me, and he made me feel much better about the procedure. He makes time for his patients. His staff is always so friendly and happy. I had to do my grafts in two separate appointments and each time, I felt very well taken care of! Betty, his assistant, was so sweet! I definitely recommend Dr Ryan Donovan to anyone that needs any periodontal work done. He and his entire staff are amazing!

Dr. Donovan and his staff were incredible! He truly cared about my health, well being, and comfort. I've never had a doctor call after hours just to check-in and make sure I was feeling okay. He was SO nice. I needed a gum graft surgery and of course its not a fun procedure but I was comfortable, pain-free during the procedure, and he was constantly checking to make sure I was okay. Thank you Dr. Donovan!!! 10/10 Recommend

I needed several extractions done and after doing some research decided to go to Dr Donovan. The entire experience was first class. The front desk, assistant and Dr Donovan we're awesome. They explained everything that had to be done and coordinated the care with a dentist they recommended for my appliance. The day of the surgery they had my comfort in mind first and foremost and Dr Donovan called to follow up that night to see how I was doing. On my follow up Dr Donovan was happy to see that everything was healing well. I had no doubt of that. I cannot express fully how happy I am with the care I received, and to know they're there for me should there be any concerns. Thank you so much foe a great experience!
