Dr. Justin Edwards earned his Bachelor of Science in cell biology and neuroscience from Montana State University. He went on to pursue his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Realizing his passion for working with children, Dr. Edwards was accepted to a two-year pediatric dental residency at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. There, Dr. Edwards received specialized training and the additional education necessary to exclusively treat children and those with special needs.
Outside of the office, Dr. Edwards spends as much time as he can with his wonderful wife and two rescue pups Eddie and Ellie. You can typically find them playing in the rivers, oceans and mountains. He and his wife also have an affinity for travel. Their favorite places include Heathsville, VA; Bozeman, MT; Yellowstone; Norway/Sweden and Germany.

Dr. Musselwhite is dedicated to creating comfortable, positive experiences with patients from a young age so that they will be more likely to take care of their oral health as an adult.

Dr. Joey Musselwhite, a board certified pediatric dentist, earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology with a minor in chemistry from the College of Charleston. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and went on to complete his pediatric dentistry residency at Bon Secours St. Marys Hospital in Richmond, VA.

I took my son for a consultation visit a few weeks ago at the Fredericksburg office. The facility looked great and the staff and dentist were very friendly. My son and the other children present looked very comfortable and at ease there. I will take him back in December for another visit.

The office management team is incompetent. I gave them the insurance information for my child they said they could not pull the information. Then I gave it to them it again and they said that my son wasn't covered. They called me trying to collect on the bill I told them once again that my son was covered she began to talk over me as if I could t afford a teeth cleaning bill. I called my insurance and they let me know he's been covered since the middle of last year. I called the office again gave them the information AGAIN. Then all of a sudden they where able to pull it. If they can't pull insurance what other boxes are they not checking. Don't go here unless you want to be talked to like a peasant.

Had the most amazing experience! My 2year old who crys at the doctors when they just want to have him on the scale to weigh him didn't even cry once here. All of the staff are so friendly and made a potentially scary experience for little kids a fun adventure!!!

My son was seen here and I was pleased to the upmost. The staff were friendly, the physicians were showed patience and my concerns were heard. I would recommend them to anyone!!!

The team at RVA Pediatric Dentistry is awesome! My child was very nervous about her first visit, but they were very kind, patient, and took the time to explain things and make her feel comfortable. She even asked me afterwards if we could go back!

I usually don't give reviews after a warm welcome I have to give a review. People at RVA dentistry are no nice I mean front desk team, appointment scheduler, Nurse and the doctor everyone one of them are so nice. Also they have kids play area inside the waiting room and the dentist room has few toys so that kids can play with it they will give a gift and pack of paste , toothbrush and stickers at the end . Thanks everyone for your good job.

I don't have enough kind words. Went in with my 5 and 2 year old last week and it was an amazing experience. The staff were all so kind and understanding of everything. Went in today with my 4 year old who was terrified and they took their time to make him comfortable and treated him so special. My 4 year old wanted the same prize my 5 year old got at his appointment last week but the machine didn't have it. The sweet lady at the front desk went and fished one out for him. I couldn't believe my ears when we left and my son said he wanted to come back again. This place is really something else. Truly amazing.
