Poor! Don't belive the glorious reviews about Dr. Janice Ruvo. My family had been going to the Ruvo Dental Practice for years. I decided to continue to go with Dr. Jan when her father retired. I stopped going to her practice when my insurance changed. My new dentist said Dr. Jan did not take off enough of the fillings on both sides of my mouth before putting the crowns on. Dr. Jan also claimed that I had a cavity, which in reallity I did NOT have. My new dentist did a full set of x-rays and did not see any cavity. Also, my new dentist removed the two crowns to drill down the fillings that Dr. Jan did not do, in orfder to make my bite even.

I love Ruvo Dental! I have been coming here my entire life, everyone is so friendly, warm and welcoming! I highly recommend!

Dr. Jan is the best! I've been going to her since I was three years old (almost 20 years ) and her staff has always been professional and amazing. I don't think I could ever use a different dentist!

I have been going to Ruvo Dental Practice for decades. I have found Dr Ruvo and her staff to be professional, friendly and prompt. Dr Ruvo explains her procedure in understandable language and makes you feel totally comfortable . Her staff follows Dr Ruvo's demeanor and friendliness. I have never ever felt uncomfortable going to a dental appointment. I am sorry that I can only assign a maximum of five stars!

The worst experience with a "dentist" - Dr. Ruvo agreed to change my silver (amalgam) filling to a white (composite) filling on molar #14 and made several huge mistakes. She left a portion of the tooth exposed and she also placed the filling in a way that a portion of it was protruding into the gums next to the tooth. I knew something was wrong because I could feel the filling when I bit down. I went back to her office for her to examine it and she decided to drill it down further, shaving off some of the filling and nicking the side of my lip in the process. So now I had a shabby filling as well as a cut on my lip? For about a year thereafter, I could not chew on the side of the filling and it felt like there was a hole in the filling. I finally went to a dentist in Livingston who fixed everything but since it was a filling again for the same tooth, my employer health insurance would not cover it and I had to pay $403 for Dr. Ruvo's mistake. The new dentist told me that not every dentist is skilled in putting in white fillings. They can't just be fit in like a silver filling. He also told me I may need a root canal because of the way "Dr." Ruvo did the filling. He was right. The pain and sensitivity have not gone away and radiate to my ear and now I need a root canal and a crown, in addition to having paid $403 for someone to correct her job. I'm not sure where Dr. Ruvo learned her dentistry but this was clearly malpractice. *** when I originally posted this review, I gave "one star" without any comment, and my one star had placed her overall score as 3.5. She only had two other reviews at that time. I was disappointed to see that two days later, in response to my one star, she got four people to give her 5 stars, all within a span of two days. That was disingenuous of her. That is when I decided to share my experience so others don't have to go through what I went through. So don't believe all of the fake good reviews in response to my one star. Now I have to contact an endodontist about this root canal. I really deserve a refund for what occurred.

You can just feel that she truly cares about you. She is extremely gentle and makes sure you are comfortable. Her office staff is professional and very helpful.
