Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Justin Russo has called North Carolina home since 2005 when he pursued his dental education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, one of the top dental schools in the world. Dr. Russo has also completed surgical training and general dentistry residency at the prestigious Hartford Hospital and had also completed general dentistry rotations at the Togus VA Hospital in Augusta, Maine while having the privilege of serving some our our nations veterans who have sacrificed for our great country.

Consistently fulfilling countless hours of continuing education in virtually every phase of dentistry, Dr. Justin Russo offers a broad scope of general dental services in addition to being recognized for his award winning cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Justin Russo has experienced great advances in private dental practice as a result of his ongoing commitment and dedication to continuing education in dental advancements and earned membership into some of the most prestigious dental organizations in the world. Living in North Carolina since 2012 when he joined the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Dentistry as a Professor teaching periodontics and serving as the Director of the Periodontology and Implantology program for five years. Dr. Morelli earned his Specialization Certificate and Masters degree in Periodontics at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology, a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology, and has been practicing for over 20 years.

Dr. Morelli practices periodontics full time and continues to teach at UNC Chapel Hill as an adjunct professor in the Division of Periodontology. He has authored numerous articles and book chapters in the fields of regenerative medicine, implant dentistry, genetics, and tissue engineering. He is highly respected in the periodontal and implant field and has received multiple industry, foundation and NIH research awards.

When Dr. Morelli is not involved in dentistry he enjoys traveling within North Carolina, exploring the outdoors with his wife and two children. He also enjoys playing acoustic guitar and cheering for the Carolina Hurricanes.

Dr. John Foley grew up in suburban Chicago, IL and attended Saint Louis University in Missouri for his undergraduate studies. He then enrolled at the University of Illinois Chicago to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree and finished near the top of his class and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon honors dental society. Dr. John was then honored to be selected to study orthodontics at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, completing both his masters degree (M.S.) in biomedical sciences and his orthodontic certification. His research as a resident focused on the possible genetic link between familial cancer risk and certain types of multiple-tooth agenesis. During his time at Mayo Clinic, he was a member of the hospitals craniofacial team, working with cleft palate patients, as well as those with complex genetic syndromes.

After residency, Dr. Foley worked as a private practice orthodontist in both Streamwood, IL and then Raleigh, NC. In the Summer of 2020, he purchased a private practice in Cary, NC and relocated his family to the Southwest Wake County area.Dr. Foleys Cary, NC practice, Foley Orthodontics, has been actively incorporating the latest advancements in orthodontic technology to provide patients with the absolute best in a treatment experience and outcome. It is this dedication to patient care, technological advancement in dentistry and commitment to dental excellence that led Dr. Foley to join Russo Dentistry and their team of comprehensive dental solution specialists as Russo Dentistrys patient-centered Orthodontic Specialist.

Dr. John is passionate about the field of orthodontics. Dr. Patrick Foley, Dr. Foleys father, operated a family orthodontic practice in Lake Zurich, IL for nearly 30 years and Dr. John has taken a lot of lessons from him, both as a patient, and as a son. He has committed himself to excellence in the advancing technologies of orthodontics and is proficient in the use of temporary-anchorage devices (TADs), laser gingivectomies, clear aligner treatments (i.e. Invisalign), INBRACE behind-the-teeth braces, and Lightforce 3D-printed custom ceramic braces. Dr. Foley is also experienced with pre-prosthetic orthodontics, in support of needed implants or cosmetic procedures, as well as presurgical orthodontics, helping patients set up for jaw surgery.

Dr. Foley is a member of several dental and orthodontic associations, both regionally and nationally, including the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the American Dental Association (ADA), the Southern Association of Orthodontists (SAO), and the Raleigh-Wake County Dental Society (RWCDS). He is also honored to be a member of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), a prestigious certification undertaken by select orthodontists, allowing their work to be reviewed by a panel of their peers.
