I am passionate about creating smiles that allow the personalities of my patients to shine. I get excited when I see children and adults that are truly self-conscious and uncomfortable with their smiles, because I know these are the patients that we can have a dramatic effect on boosting their self-esteem and confidence.

I love that I get to know patients during such interesting times in their lives. In children, we work with them at a time in which they are going through dramatic changes, physically, mentally, and emotionally. To in some small way help usher them through these changes and come out the other end with a boost in confidence and self-esteem is a huge honor. In adults, we see patients who have, for whatever reason, decided its time to focus on themselves. Maybe they just finished putting their last child through college, or theyre finally in a position to make changes that theyve wanted to make for a long time. Hearing their stories and helping them make these changes is something I value tremendously.

I attended dental school at Columbia Universitys College of Dental Medicine, earning my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. After completing my General Practice Residency at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, I continued on to my three-year Orthodontic Residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, where I served as chief resident and won the Herzberg Award, given to the top performing resident.

I grew up in Traverse City, Michigan, and now live in Long Island. My wife Sotiria and I have three children, Dimitri, Alexa, and Matthew, and a Boston terrier named Ella. When Im not at work you can find me enjoying the simple pleasures with my family: going to the beach, cooking, traveling, and playing guitar.

Josephine is one of the friendly faces our new patients meet when they start orthodontic treatment at Three Village Orthodontics. With us since 2003, she greets patients, schedules consults and follow-ups, creates practice promotions, and manages our online patient interface. Josephine makes our patients first visits as seamless and easy as possible with the goal to transform smiles and make our patients happy. Josephine is married with two grown children and a dog named Cookie. She enjoys spending time with family and friends.

With our office for more than 20 years, Claudia maintains our office schedule and works to coordinate your orthodontic treatment within your busy schedule. Peggy has 35 years of orthodontic experience and has been with our office since 1993. In addition to keeping the office up to date with the latest technologies and preparing patients for bracket placement, she is also our Invisalign specialist. Peggy loves watching as our patients grow up and seeing their smiles change throughout the course of treatment, and is honored to be a part of the process. Outside the office, Peggy loves working in her gardens and spending time with her family.

Liz began her career in dentistry in 1978 and joined our team in 1994. Her years of experience have made her highly motivated, knowledgeable, and friendly. In addition to helping you with diagnostic records and assisting Dr. Everett with procedures, she is always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding orthodontic treatment. When you meet Liz, be sure to ask about her two beautiful grandkids!

For most people, achieving a healthy, beautiful smile is the reason for receiving orthodontic care. If you're self-conscious about your smile, correcting your concerns with braces will greatly improve the way you look and feel.

When your treatment is complete, you will have the smile you've always dreamed of and the confidence to show it off! We also want you to feel comfortable and confident throughout your entire orthodontic experience, and our practice is dedicated to making sure that you receive the quality care you deserve.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.

Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!

Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.
