Dr. Jessica Vergel de Dios grew up in Los Angeles and attended the University of San Diego where she received a B.A. in Biology. She went on to receive a M.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Regis University in Denver and her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Western University College of Dental Medicine. Throughout her training, Dr. Vergel focused on public health and giving back to her community. She has traveled with the US Navy on the USNS Comfort delivering dental care to communities in Central and South America, volunteered with the Special Olympics, and presented research across the country about delivering dental care to underserved children.
Dr. Vergel utilizes digital dentistry to provide her patients with the best care modern dentistry has to offer. She belongs to the San Diego Dental Society, California Dental Association, and American Dental Association.
In her free time, Dr. Vergel enjoys touring San Diegos amazing restaurants and breweries. As her patient, you can expect her whole-hearted attention as she helps you choose the best treatment available, tailored to your unique needs.
Dr. Russell W. McCalley received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Arizona. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Southern California. Dr. McCalley opened his dental practice in San Diego in 1988.
Dr. McCalley incorporates the most advanced technologies into his practice. These advancements improve the total patient experience. His comprehensive approach to dentistry has led him to be proficient in root canal treatment, Invisalign orthodontics, implant surgery, soft tissue laser treatment, cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He is among the first dentists in San Diego to implement CAD/CAM Cerec technology to provide one-visit crowns. By incorporating 3D imaging technology at his office, Dr. McCalley is also able to design treatment for the placement of dental implants.
Extensive continuing education ensures Dr. McCalley is always current in the dental industry. I am new to the area and just had my first appointment at this practice. Everyone treated me with the upmost kindness and the treatment was exquisite. I cant give Russell W McCalley DDS Inc a high enough review. 100% I will be back for future appointments

Dr McCalley is the best Dentist anywhere . I've been going to him for 30+ years. And never had a bad experience. He is very good and making things pain free as well.

Dr. McCalley and his staff are so warm and kind with all their patients. They take the time to make patients comfortable--especially kids. AND, on top of that they do a fabulous job with all the dental work they perform. I highly recommend Dr. McCalley's services to anyone.

I hate to admit that it's been a realllly long time since I went to a dentist, but this office is worth every penny spent! I feel so welcomed by all of the staff, the office is clean and comforting to be in! The ladies at the front desk are so sweet, the doctors are amazing and very kind with their chair side manner ;) the dental hygienists are just as amazing and I've even spaced out my appointments so I can keep coming back! They have made dental visits, cleanings and drilling my teeth enjoyable! How does that happen?! I don't know but they do!! If you're looking for an office and great people to trust, I highly recommend you to place it with them!!

Great service from everyone on the office. Great work from Dr. McCalley. I've been in and out of the office pretty quickly for a root canal, crown, and filling over the past few months. The office is comfortable. The staff is really welcoming and nice. It's a very challenging time to make people feel welcomed and comfortable right now, and they just do a great job. Dr. McCalley is really good at what he does.

The team at McCalley DDS is terrific. Consistently thoughtful, professional, and efficient. My only reluctance in recommending them, is that soon they'll be so popular that I'll have to compete to get an appointment! :)

I am in the process of receiving implants on my anteriors, have had the extractions and bone replacement grafts (which took only 1 & 1/2 hours,) totally painless , Dr McCalley is a genius at giving upper anterior anesthesia, again painless, am now waiting for the implant placements which will happen in January as we have to wait for healing, so looking forward to it. I have received a partial denture to replace my anteriors during the healing time, and none of my family or friends have noticed a change in my smile. And what I really liked is Dr McCalley does it ALL, I didn't have to go to another specialist for the extractions etc.

Even before the pandemic they were very careful about hygiene, even more so since. I come from a family of dentists and have had great dentists everywhere we've lived, including overseas, but Dr McCalley's practice is definitely one of the best.

Dr. McCalley is the consummate professional. His staff provides comprehensive dental services. One thing I like about Dr. McCalley's business is that it is self-contained, from crowns to posts, to bridges, No matter what service you require, including cleaning and imaging, all of the needs are typically done in house, and as a result, can happen very quickly and efficiently. Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, and superior dental skills and abilities. I have been going to Dr. McCalley for 20+ years at this point. He is simply the best.
