Rural Health Group, Inc. is a non-profit, federally qualified community health center dedicated to providing primary medical care, dental care, and other health-related services to our regions underserved. Founded in 1974, Rural Health Group, Inc. grew out of a community collaboration of concerned citizens to provide low-cost and free health care services to people living in Northeastern North Carolina. Our board of directors is comprised of >50% active patients of the health center. In addition to patients, we have expertise on our board from financial planners, attorneys, health care providers and administrators. We have a well-rounded, experienced board dedicated to increasing access to care while managing a fiscally sound organization. The board directs senior management that all decisions must undergo thorough business modeling, cost-benefit analysis and program development.
Our mission drives the management and staff of Rural Health Group, Inc. to identify health needs in the community, develop programs to meet those needs and provide superior quality services for our patients. As a community-founded, -funded and -focused organization we are committed to offering a comprehensive package of services to not only meet the standards of care in the community, but exceed those standards.
Rural Health Groupis a federally qualified community health center (FQHC). An FQHC is a federal designation given by the Bureau of Primary Health Care at the federal Department of Health and Human Services. FQHCs are either located in, or serve, a federally designated medically underserved area/population. All FQHCs must operate under a consumer Board of Directors governance structure, and provide comprehensive primary health care, dental, and mental health/substance abuse services to persons in all stages of the life cycle. The Federally Supported Health Centers Assistance Act of 1992 and 1995 granted medical malpractice liability protection through the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) to HRSA-supported health centers.Rural Health Group is an FTCA Deemed Agency.

I have been there for quite a long time but my children always pass them to me at Henderson. I had a problem with the older one and they did not want to attend to me and the lady who answered my call was a despot who was always waiting for this ..

I'M NOT HAPPY TODAY WITH RURAL HEALTH GROUP DENTAL AT ROANOKE RAPIDS. I HAD AN APPOINTMENT SET FOR SEPTEMBER BUT I HAD TO CANCEL AND RESCHEDULED MY APPOINTMENT . AT THIS TIME I WAS OFFERED FOR MY DAUGHTER TO BE PLACED ON AN CANCELLATION LIST. THEY CALLED ME ON YESTERDAY IN OCTOBER ASKING IF I CAN BRING HER IN AT 11:20 AM, I AGREED. BUT, THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT I AM HAVING CAR TROUBLE. I CALLED RURAL HEALTH TO INFORM THEM IF MY ISSUE. I WAS TOLD AT THIS POINT THAT I CANT MAKE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT FOR HER BECAUSE THIS WAS HER SECOND CANCELLATION . I TOLD THE YOUNG LADY I CAN SEE IF I MADE THIS APPOINTMENT AND CANCELED BUT, THIS IS A CALL I RECEIVED FROM YOUR OFFICE AT LAST MINUTE THE DAY BEFORE NOT ONE THAT I CALLED AND MADE AND CANCELLED. WHILE TALKING TO THIS YOUNG LADY I HEARD NOR FELT ANY COMPASSION IN HER VOICE AND HER TONE WAS BLAH AND SHE WAS VERY NONCHALANT .

There wasn't a long wait to be seen even though it was a walk in due to a child's medical visit.

I came here a few years ago. During a filling I was in pain, and apparently it was such a delight to see my mouth watering in a "unique way" during the procedure. Mind you I'm in pain, getting my tooth drilled. Apparently this was something they only saw in training. Bad time to be joking around.
