Dr. Runion grew up in Findlay Ohio where he excelled in Ice Hockey and soccer at Findlay High School. In college he earned a biology and chemistry degree while being a four year starting goalie on the Varsity Mens Soccer team. He brings his competitive nature and leadership qualities to his offices where you can feel the excellence through each one of your visits.

Dr. Runion resides in Central Ohio and is the proud father of three young boys. Im excited to be a part of this great team here at the Runion Dental Group! I grew up in Dublin, and graduated from Dublin Coffman High School. I then attended Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia where I received a degree in Biomedical Sciences while also being a member of the Mens soccer team. I decided to stay in West Virginia, and earn my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at West Virginia University in Morgantown. Following that, I moved to Cincinnati and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Primary Health Solutions in Middletown, Ohio.

I am thrilled to be able to return home to Columbus and join such a great team and practice. I enjoy being able to help people and have the ability to give confidence to my patients. My name is Tracy. I am a dental hygienist and have been for a little over 20 years. I joined the Beecher Crossing team and I love it here. It is a great team to be a part of. I grew up about an hour and a half north of Columbus in a small country town. I rode and trained horses and played softball. What brought me to Columbus? The Ohio State University of course. It was not until my sophomore year that I realized my future would be in dentistry. I obtained a Bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene. While in school, I also had the privilege of working in the Oral and Maxillofacial surgery department on campus. Once I graduated I found a job here in Columbus and never left. Like I said, I have been a dental hygienist for over 20 years and I find that I love my job just as much now, if not more, than the day I started I love helping patients achieve healthy smiles and doing what I can to help them maintain that healthy smile. I have one amazing son. He enjoys playing baseball and basketball. Watching him play these sports is my favorite past time. We also have an amazing dog named Champ. I enjoy camping, watching Ohio State football, and traveling. I prefer to travel anywhere with sun and a beach. My name is Morgen and I am a Registered Dental Hygienist. I was born and raised in West Virginia. I attended college at West Virginia University and graduated in 2004 with a Bachelors of Health Science degree. I moved to Columbus in 2005 and I consider it my second home. I have two children, a daughter and son. I enjoy working at Runion Dental Group because we are a large family and Ive been with the practice for almost 9 years. I love the patients here too, they become a part of our family and I enjoy laughing and talking with them and also listening to any questions and concerns they may have and doing my best to help them feel comfortable and at ease when they are here. The things I enjoy at the practice are intra oral photography with all my patients teeth. Most find this interesting to see their teeth up close and I take the time to explain what I see and answer any questions they may have. Another interesting thing for patients to see is the Cone Beam image with the I-CAT equipment that allows them to see their skull in 3D and also lets us check their airway, sinus and jawbones. Most patients have not had an x-ray like this before. My hygienist roles include taking the necessary x-rays for our doctors to be able to diagnose any areas of concern or rule out any areas of disease. Also I take assessment of patients bone and gum health to determine what type of cleaning the patient will need; a regular cleaning versus periodontal therapy. I show patients through pictures, x-rays, and charting what I see and explain to them the conditions of their teeth and gums and answer any questions I can for them. Having obtained my certificate to give local anesthesia, I can make patients feel comfortable for their dental treatments or periodontal therapy procedures. My goal is to provide every patient with a good experience so they enjoy coming to see us

Today, many dentists rely on 3D imaging scans to provide them with a detailed view of the mouth and skull. 3D scans are quick and simple to perform. A Cone Beam Imaging System is at the heart of the 3D scanner. The cone beams are used to take literally hundreds of pictures of the face. These pictures are used to compile an exact 3D image of the inner mechanisms of the face and jaw. The dentist is able to zoom in on specific areas and view them from alternate angles.

3D x-rays provide our team a more comprehensive view of your entire mouth which helps us locate issues that arent always identifiable in a 2D image. We in turn are able to coordinate treatment planning and dental services to our patients in more depth and can explain treatments with greater clarity and accuracy. Other benefits include:

The laser gently removes decayed tooth structure and unhealthy tissue. The laser uses water droplets combined with laser energy, there is no heat or vibration.

Laser dentistry is especially well-suited to the preparation of teeth for fillings, root canals, gum surgery and more, as the laser easily removes decayed tooth structure while conserving as much of the healthy tooth as possible. Very few dentists in Ohio have this level of technology.
