Dr. Shane Ruggless, DMD earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois Champaign Urbana in 2008 with a degree in Integrative Biology. He went on to earn his DMD at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Dental School, where he received a leadership award.
Dr. Ruggless knew since his high school days that he wanted to become a dentist. He was a member of the Pre-Dental Club while attending the University of Illinois and also participated in a trip to Guatemala to deliver much-needed dental supplies and oral health education to the local citizens.
Dr. Rugglesss mission is: 'To provide high quality dental work while using the latest technologies in a comfortable and relaxed setting.' He enjoys the ability to transform a person 's smile. Making a positive impact in a patient 's confidence and overall health makes being a dentist an amazing experience.
He married his wife, Allie, in 2011, and have since grown their family. They now have a son, Greyson, and two daughters, Eden and Cammie. They also have a two year old cat, Louie, that they adopted from the Animal Protective League.

Dr. Ruggless and his staff are extremely warm, welcoming, and professional! Laura is the best (and friendliest) hygienist that I've ever had. Shane is great with kids as well, having little ones of his own. Top of the line dental care!

Dr. Ruggless is an AMAZING Dr.!!! I was super scared going to get my tooth pulled today, and he made it very comfortable and it didn't even hurt, didn't know it was out!! Friendly staff very comfy office I'll be back for sure!!

Our 3 year old felt very comfortable and is actually looking forward to her next visit at Ruggless Dental. The staff was very friendly and professional and Dr. Ruggless was great with our daughter. We can't imagine a different dentist for her.

I was very pleased with my first visit to Ruggless Dental. Every single one of the staff members was friendly and had a smile on their face. The hygienist was gentle and I had no problems whatsoever with my cleaning. Mr. Ruggless was just as friendly and easy to talk to. He was also interested in getting to know me. I was very impressed by this because at the very first visit he was already working on establishing a patient-to-dentist relationship. I am definitely going back and highly recommend Rugless Dental!

1) My appointments are on schedule (don't wait 30 minutes after my allocated time) which is fabulous. 2) The music playing on office sound system is incredible and uplifting. 3) Really like Dr. R and his staff. They do good work.

Dr. Ruggless placed crowns on my broken and dark front teeth; it was not painful and changed my life; I can smile, eat anything, and enjoy life at 70.

I have some special dental needs and was very nervous moving to a new town where I'd have to find new doctors and dentists. I am so glad my husband found Ruggless Dental! A great group of professionals ! I especially appreciate their early morning hours!

Dr. Ruggless is a great dentist. In addition to his excellent dentistry, he is always very kind and caring. He is always prompt, and I have never encountered a long wait. His staff is also excellent. I have been a patient of Rita's for more than 20 years, and she is the best hygienist I have ever encountered. Two thumbs up for Ruggless Dental!
