Dr. Michael Ruffatto began his dental career in July 2007 following graduation from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton, IL. Prior to that, Dr. Ruffatto earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomechanical Engineering from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Dr. Ruffatto is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is currently the Vice President of the Illini District Dental Society and a board member for the Central Illinois Academy of General Dentistry. He also serves as the Vice President for the Champaign County Board of Health.
Raised in Wheeling, Illinois, Dr. Ruffatto spent the early part of his life in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. During dental school, he met his wife, Kara, who is a dentist at Champaign-Urbana Public Health District. They have four children, Benjamin, Caleb, Tessa, and Marcus. In his free time Dr. Ruffatto likes to cheer on the Illini, Cubs, and Bears and enjoys outdoor activities with his family.
Trisha is a hygienist and has been with our office since 2001. She and her husband Larry have three children and they all live in her hometown, Fisher. She loves that they are close so she can spend lots of time with her four grandchildren! Trisha and Larry are active members of their church, excellent ballroom dancers, and wonderful cooks. Trish loves to entertain her friends and family with elegant dinners.
Kassie joined our staff in the spring of 2015 after completing her dental hygiene degree at Parkland. She grew up in St. Joseph with her mom and two sisters and enjoys spending time with them all. She is also a devoted dog mom to Jasmine, her pit bull. As if that didnt keep her busy enough, in 2021 she became a realtor with Keller Williams. In her limited free time she loves fitness, going to concerts, and traveling- especially on cruises.
Tangela is Dr. Ruffattos assistant. She joined our team at the end of 2016, but shes been in the dental industry for several years. She lives in her hometown, Tuscola, with her teenage son Alex. He plays football and you can find her cheering him on at every game! When the weather is nice she enjoys camping, which she often does with her boyfriend Rob. When the weather is not nice you are more likely to find her inside with a cup of hot chocolate and cuddling with her dog, Precious.
Donna is the newest member of our team, joining us in the summer of 2021. Although she is new to our office, she has been in the dental field since 2009. Donna and her husband Gene are originally from Washington State and have lived in Illinois for many years now. They have two children, a daughter who lives in Ohio, and their son and his new wife who live in the area. During their free time you might see Gene and Donna riding around town on their Goldwing - one of their favorite activities to do together.
Sarah has been our Treatment Coordinator since 2015. She graduated from the University of Illinois in 2012 and spent some time working with people with disabilities and in banking before bringing her friendly smile and financial skills to our office. She and her husband Jacob welcomed their first child in 2021, a boy named Ezekiel. Spending time with them and their dog, Leo, is her favorite.

Experienced a serious tooth issue and called Dr. Ruffatto's office in the afternoon. His team squeezed me in same-day around 4:30 P.M. After a thorough exam, Dr. Ruffatto personally contacted my endodontist to try to get me scheduled for the following day. The endodontist office was closed, but he spoke with the doctor and said they would reach out to me first thing the following morning. On my drive home from Dr. Ruffatto's office, I received a text from the endodontist, which said they could see me at 8:00 A.M. WOW! I've always been impressed by Dr. Ruffatto and his team, but I truly believe they went above and beyond in this case. Thank you so much!

Somehow they got my review deleted. So to make a long story short the previous dentist here was an honorable man. The guy who bought it is a sleaze who refuses to discuss options with you To make matters worse, when I wrote my original review the guy had the gall to threaten my parents to try to get me to take it down.

I had a great deal of anxiety about going to a new dentist, especially since I hadn't had a proper cleaning in a few years, but the environment in the dental office was very alleviating. The office in general is very open and welcoming, and everyone there is extremely friendly and kind. My hygienist, Kassie, was beyond thorough, and she truly did everything in her power to make me comfortable since I was nervous. I did have cavities that needed fillings, one was in an odd position and I was scared I would need a root canal. Kassie explained to me they don't do those in their office, but they do refer to the best oral doctor. The way my cavities were filled by Dr. Ruffatto were immaculate. They were done so quickly, efficiently, and I didn't feel a thing. I recommend Dr. Ruffatto and his team to anyone looking for a dentist. Plus, they have the best polishing and fluoride flavors.

Having had years of dental phobia, I couldn't be happier than to now be a patient of Dr. Ruffatto's. His hygienists are not only incredibly friendly, they are highly skilled at what they do. Dr. Ruffatto has a wonderful "chair-side" manner and does high quality work at extremely reasonable rates. After all these years of fear, I now look forward to my dental check-ups!

Dr. Ruffatto treats all of his patients like his kids, with care. He has a smile when he walks into the room that can make anyone's day. Everyone is very nice when you walk in the building and they only do procedures when necessary. I have received the best fillings from this dental office and highly recommend them.

Everyone hates going to the dentist, right? Well guess what... I don't! Do you know why? Because Dr. Ruffatto and his team make you feel right at home when you come in for any sort of dental work! From root canals, to a simple cleaning I have always felt completely comfortable! Kassie is hands down the best hygienist I have ever been to, she is the sweetest and most caring person ever!! She always makes sure that you're comfortable when she is performing a cleaning and makes sure you go home with a bag of goodies to take care of your teeth! And not to mention her work is spot on! As for everyone else at the office, you bet your bottom dollar they are just like kassie!! And don't even get me started on Dr. Ruffatto, he's one of the most professional people I've met. I'm always greeted with a firm handshake and a smile when he walks in the room. His work is flawless, and I have never left with any sort of discomfort, pain, or problems! (Other than the normal tightness after a filling) They also work with you and your budget to make sure that you leave completely satisfied, I have never had a problem! All in all, this office gets a 99/100 in my book!! (Only because I know some of them are cubs fans GO CARDS!!)

I don't know where to start, but Dr. Ruffatto is an amazing dentist along with his staff who are all very caring ladies. Kassie and Tangela are the sweetest ladies ever. Dr. Ruffatto is extremely nice and is great with kids(the office itself is great for kids) and has a very gentle hand. I struggled finding my 6 year old a dentist a couple years as she was very scared, last year was the very first time I took her to the office and she immediately warmed up to Kassie let her clean her teeth and was so comfortable she let the Doctor check her out. It was a great feeling as a mom. Now this year I started have work done myself now coming from a person who doesn't like needles or having dental work done myself, I would refer this man to anyone. I went into the office today to have 1 filling done he was doing such a great job working on me, they numbed me so good before the needle I didn't even know he was sticking me and I didn't feel a thing while he was working on me, so I decided to have all 3 filling done today instead of one. So to sum it all up if you for a great dentist with a great office staff oh and a very clean office give Dr. Michael Ruffatto a call he is great for the whole family!

My wife and I recently moved to Savoy and needed a DDS that was closer. I have since been to Dr. Tschopp's practice 3 times (2 cleanings and 1 filling) and I can't say enough positive things. The staff is friendly and always has a smile on their faces. The Doctor himself, is very nice and all in all I'd have to say this is the most pleasant experience I've had at the dentist in a long time!
