It is rare today to see a family craft that continues to be passed down generation to generation. Its rarer, still, when that family craft is in a profession that require so much training. Dr. Peter Lopatin is proud to be a second generation dentist, following his fatherDr. Vasily Lopatins foot steps. For over 50 years Dr. Lopatin Senior was a trusted and renowned dentist, that our very own Dr. Peter Lopatin feels nothing but privileged to call upon him as a mentor and motivator.
Having attended a medical school in his home town of Chelyabinsk Dr. Lopatin proceeded to obtain an Oral Surgery degree at Chelyabinsk State Medical academy and went on to practice as an oral surgeon for over 4 years in Russia.
Upon self-teaching English and moving to the United States Dr. Lopatin briefly worked as a dental assistant in NYC while excelling at dental admission test which granted him attendance at the renowned NYU School of Dentistry, where he not only graduated once more as a Doctor of Dental Surgery but, met his best friend, partner in life and wife, Dr. Christine Hernandez-Lopatin.
Dr. Christine Hernandez was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She received a Bachelors of Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida. She went on to attend Florida International University where she graduated magna cum laude with a Masters of Science in Dietetics. Dr. Christine Hernandez obtained her Doctor in Dental Surgery degree from NYU College of Dentistry. She regularly attends continuing education courses in the evolving field of dentistry and remains up to date in the advances of materials, techniques, and technology, with a particular focus in childrens dentistry. Consistent with her passion for helping patients achieve their greatest potential, came her genuine enthusiasm in aiding her patients maintain a lifelong healthy smile. The gratification received when helping an apprehensive patient feel comfortable in our office is nothing short of rewarding. Dr. Hernandez loves spending time with her husband Peter, and visiting her sister, who is also attending NYU College of Dentistryso be on the look out Ruban Dental a new familial face will be joining the team soon! In her spare time, she enjoys cycling, going fishing and volunteering! Dr. Hernandezs ultimate goal is to welcome your family into a family friendly dental office where advanced technology is combined with a gentle, warm, fun, and relaxing environment.
