I came in as an emergency and Dr. Baran did not hesitate to treat my root canal so that I did not have to suffer any more tenderness, pain, or swelling. My two hour procedure took all of the doctor's lunch hour, but I walked out of there with my problem fixed and my jaw pain-free. Carol Kohut

Dr. Baran and her staff have been taking care of all my dental needs for the past 18 + years. She has also been taking care of my daughter and son for just as long. Dolores Baran, DDS and Lisa, Dental Tech, were accommodating, pleasant and did adhere to strict COVID-19 precautions. There expertise and talents in dentistry are well above average! I feel very comfortable in their care. My six-month dental exam, including x-rays, periodontal check, cleaning and and fluoride treatment went well. I was in and out in about one hour! Thank You!

I have loved coming to Dr. Baron's office ever since I was a kid! The friendly staff make this doctor visit the best one! From the massage chair to the paraffin wax, it is an overall delight and calming experience getting my teeth cleaned. I have no complaint!

If you've had a long time fear of the dentist, like me, then this is the perfect place for people like us! Dr. Baran and her staff are highly skilled, have the most modern equipment and are very compassionate. I was able to overcome my fear of the dentist by seeking hypo-therapy with a licensed hypno-therapist, skilled in working with patients with phobias ( Dr. Kim Manning). While Kim was able to help me overcome my fear, I needed to find a dentist that was willing to work with me, since it had been over 13 years since i had been to the dentist. My research led me to Dr. Baran and Royal Oak smiles. I knew as soon as I walked in the door for my consultation, that I had found the right place! The reception staff and the dental assistant who took my X Rays were wonderful! They were so welcoming that my feelings of shame of not going to the dentist for so long were quickly put to rest. They cared about me and ensured that I was comfortable through each step of the process. Next, I had a consultation with Dr. Baran on the high level treatment plan. Since I needed several procedures, we scheduled a follow up consultation for later that same week. Dr Baran took almost 2 HOURS to go through a proposed treatment plan. We then prioritized the work that I wanted done this year, which included 3 wisdom teeth extractions, 2 root canals, a deep scaling ( cleaning ) and porcelain veneers for my smile line. I started the work in October and my veneers will be in by December 21st, just in time for a family wedding;) While I had quite a bit of work in a short period of time, it has gone great due to the talents of Dr. Baran and her staff. I think you can tell a lot about a place by how the staff feels about their boss. Everyone I came in contact with loved Dr. Baran and talked about her skill and artistry as a dentist. My dental hygienist, Lisa, was also incredible! The procedures she used to clean my teeth were state of the art and so gentle. She made the process seem effortless and believe or not, I was laughing during her treatment. I know this is a long post. I'm hoping if you've read this far, that like me, you have found someone that can make your smile bright again. I'm so grateful to Dr. Baran and her staff!

I came to Royal Oak Smiles to get juvederm for my lips. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Dr. Baran really took the time to figure out the results I wanted and was so patient with me. And I absolutely LOVE the results. The assistant Eda was very thorough with what to expect post op. Such a great experience, I will be returning!

Horrible. Not a member of ADA (not accountable), huffy as others have noted, takes customers to court when she's at fault, wants patients to get procedures they don't need, and overcharges.

I wish I had seen the negative reviews before coming here. I agree with all of them and feel disgusted with the wanting to upsell and only wanting money. The front office staff is nice but the dentist appears to only be out for money. I have a very slight overbite and slight gaps between only 6 of my teeth. My bottom teeth have no gaps. I called and was told it could be anywhere between $2500-$5000 for fast braces (for everyone). Dr. Baran wanted me to get veneers for 6 teeth at $2500 a piece (based on the response I was going to be overcharged on those too). I'm not sure if she was trying to get me to get the veneers or upcharge me but the cost was quoted at $5000 for the braces when she agreed I had a very slight overbite. She even showed me a severe case and told me my teeth were nothing like it and my teeth would be easy. Orthodontists charge less than this (I had a quote already) and she's not an orthodontist. I really don't like being taken advantage of and paid for an expensive consultation ($272 for X-rays and for her to talk to me for about 5 minutes- if that is thorough that is beyond me). Yes, I was informed it would be that cost for evaluation but not told to expect $5000 for a basic fix. I am hoping I save anyone wasted time and money going there. There are many reputable dentists that will give an actual thorough evaluation for free and not overcharge.
