Dr. Michael Daraiswas born in Provo, Utah spending most of his time outdoors, hiking, biking or fishing up Provo Canyon. During high school, Dr. Darais was awarded multiple times in art contests where he excelled in architectural designs and renderings, pottery and woodworking, which would later spark his interest in dentistry.
After high school, Dr. Darais served a two-year church service mission to Recife, Brazil. Upon return from his service, he graduated from Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah with a degree in Biology where he met his wife Elise who had moved to Utah from Toronto, Ontario Canada to attend school. They were married two years later and Dr. Darais then achieved his dream of attending University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA. Since dental school,Dr. Daraishas taken several continuing education courses to strengthen his dental technique as well as staying up to date with the latest dental procedures.
Dr. Darais is passionate about dentistry and is very detail-oriented, caring and loves his patients. He enjoys a profession that allows him to grow and constantly improve in patient care. Dr. Darais prides himself in knowing that our office provides only the best treatment to all of our patients, and is constantly seeking ways in which to improve our office and our care for our patients.
Aside from dentistry,Dr. Daraisenjoys mountain biking, camping, skiing, dirt biking, spending time with his family and working on building his custom motorcycle. Dr. Darais looks forward to meeting you and hopes to serve you and your family with all of your dental care needs.
Following high school,Dr. Dixonserved a two-year church service mission in Georgia, after which he attended Utah Valley University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology.
Dr. Dixonattended dental school at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. After graduating in 2015, he began practicing dentistry in Oklahoma and has continued to expand his clinical skills and knowledge through continuing education courses in orthodontics, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and restorative dentistry. He is excited to be able to join the Trinidad Family Dental family and to help improve the health and well-being of his patients in southern Colorado.

They were all extremely friendly, knowledgeable and made absolutely sure you knew everything that was going on. They actually listened and cared about what you wanted. Usually people just wanna get you in and out like a drive through and not these guys!

Be warned about dealing with this dental office. I had a favorable experience with Dr. Steve Dixon at the office on Sells in Canon City. The dentist was not the problem. The problem is the billing department and personnel. They assured me that a claim had been filed with my dental insurance company. It was not! The excuse given to me and a representative of my insurance company was that the claim was mailed to the wrong address. They also falsely charged me for a preexisting unpaid balance. I did not have an unpaid balance. Royal Dental bills the patient up front for entire cost of the dental procedure, rather than file a claim with the dental insurance company first and then bill the patient for the balance not covered by insurance. They assert that the billing department will send a check to the patient for any funds received by their office from the insurance company. I'm not holding my breath. An attempt was made to communicate by phone with a Royal Dental representative. During a conference call with me and a spokesperson for the dental insurance company, the Royal Dental representative rudely hung up on both of us. I experienced the same rude behavior several weeks earlier when I attempted to resolve the problem on my own. Rudeness, billing problems and false charges is what you can expect from Royal Dental. Apparently money, not the patient, is their main concern.

By far the NICEST clinic I've been to, hands down. I needed a deep cleaning. Reanna and her assistant were SUPER friendly and SUPER GENTLE! I also needed a tooth removed and the dentist who did it was also super gentle and nice! The WHOLE CLENIC is super friendly. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

My daughter's had been using Royal dental for some time without issue. Both where scheduled for a routine visit Friday August 19th. We received text reminders a week before on the 12th another on the 16th and another the morning of the 19th. All texts verified the appointment as Friday the 19th at 8am. My wife drove the girls in for said appointment at 730 only to find the office closed on Fridays. She waited around until 9 in case they hadn't updated hours on the door. No one showed up. We have called and left messages to clarify what went wrong and to reschedule however Royal Dental has completely ghosted us and refused to return our messages. I understand things happen but they sent repeated reminders about the appointment up to the appointment date and won't return our calls. We will not be using them any longer. Highly unprofessional!

Trying to get complete dentures I'm a complete dentalphobe and have bad gag reflex at first they tryed but couldn't get molds made now I'm on seizure meds and I think it will help with gf they do texting so I asked if we could try again and told them bout the meds no response imma call on Tuesday and ask and they were kind of mean

I found my new dentist office! I had an emergency and needed to be seen ASAP, they got me in the next day. My regular couldn't get me in for 5 weeks! Super friendly and highly recommended.

I absolutely love doctor Mike and Laura. What a great team! Holly in the front is so positive and friendly. She is very welcoming and knowledgeable. I've been in the dental field for 24 years and I just love this office. They make me feel comfortable and safe! They are just an overall great office who work well together to make the best dental expeience. They make me want to come out of retirement just to work with such a great team. I highly recommend them, you will not be disappointed!!

This review is for the people that hate dentist visits Dr Mike and Laura made sure I had a pain free visit for a root canal. Pain free root canal YES!!! Very professional and they took care of me with extra care due to my anxiety. I left with a great experience and no pain. The first shot to numb my mouth did not even hurt because he took his time and made sure it was as painless as he could. Royal Dentist truly treat their patients as they would family. So very happy I have found our new family dentist.

I can never get ahold of them. I have called 1 time a week for 3 weeks. Everytime I call no one answers, I have tried different times of the day as well. I always leave a detailed message and they can't seem to call me back. Wanted to try out this new dentist office but apparently they don't want to help my child with her first dental check up. The least they could do is call me back and tell me they aren't accepting new client's. But apparently that's asking too much. Not a very good way to start a new business.

Royal family dental is a great place to go. Everyone there from the gals up front too the dental assistants are amazing there friendly, careing and super helpful specially people that have anxiety like me. I've seen DR. Mike D and Dr. Steve D. They both are great at what they do. If you need any work don't I'd go in and see them.

The best dental experience! Dr. Mike and Reagan the dental assistant made me feel super relaxed, were very informative about my personal dental health, and let's not forget the view of the river right outside the window! Just excellent!!!!!

Royal Family Dental is a great place for people who may not like going to the dentist. Everyone I have come into contact with there has been super-friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and just impressive in the way they carry themselves and of course, the end result is what it needs to be. I didn't think I could be relaxed and at ease with any dental work, but they have pleasantly surprised me. My teeth feel healthier and are in more-than-capable hands with this group of professionals. Their facility in Canon City is clean and very comforting. Highly recommend for anyone, especially if you have anxiety about going to the dentist.

Very friendly staff! Definitely helped ease my anxiety. Dr. Mike Darais is by far the nicest dentist i've ever been to. He was super thorough explaining what my options were, and answered all of my questions. He actually sat down and had a conversation with me instead of being "in and out" like a lot of dentists are. I will definitely be back! Happy to say i have found my dentist. Oh, and they have a great view of the river in the room. So calming! Thank you Royal Family Dental!!!

I've been to a few dentists in my life -- I'm "elderly," after all. I've never had a better experience with ANY dentist than with Dr. Ellis. She's kind, gentle, intelligent -- and explains (in detail) the procedure that's about to take place. Any questions that you may have, she's happy to answer, as well as to offer options for you concerning your treatment. I have been extremely pleased -- not to mention impressed -- with Dr. Ellis.
