Dr. Roy Forbes founded his dental practice in Englewood, New Jersey in 1976 with the hope of being the best dentist he could be. Shortly afterwards he had a thriving multi ethnic practice with patients from all over the world. He dedicated himself to life long learning and established an excellent hi-tech office with an excellent staff in a warm, caring environment. His goal was to treat his patients as if he was a patient in a painless and relaxing atmosphere.
Dr. Forbes was educated at West Indies College. He later attended Boston University where he received a bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. He also attended Northeastern University in Boston where he received a Master of Science degree in Microbiology. While he attended Northeastern University he taught the nursing students and in so doing developed a love for teaching. He was inspired by his dentist and so he attended Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry in New Jersey and received a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He graduated in the top 5% of his class with honors and was nominated into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) honor dental society.
After graduation Dr. Forbes completed a dental residency at French and Polyclinic Hospital and Medical Center in New York city. He formerly taught dental residents at Cabrini Hospital and Medical Center. He is currently an active attending dentist at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center since 1981 where he also taught dental residents. Because of Dr. Forbes' extensive life long learning and taking hundreds of hours of continuing education courses, he was nominated to be a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (M.A.G.D).
Dr. Forbes is a member of the American Dental Association, The New Jersey Dental Association, Bergen County Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Bergen Implant Study Group and The International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Forbes has been named in 'The best Dentist of America', Castle and Connolly Americans Top Dentist publications, Top Dentist in NJ Monthly and 201 Magazines, The International Association of Dentist also recognizes Dr. Forbes in the Leading Physician of the World Publication as a Top Dentist.

Dr. Forbes is an outstanding Dentist. He is professional, timely, knowledgeable of the most current techniques and relates well to his patients. I have been a patient of Dr. Forbes since the 70's. He is the only Dentist my husband, my children and I have ever had. Our smiles and teeth are healthy and beautiful! Thank you Dr. Forbes for years of Amazing service!!!!

Dr. Forbes and his office staff are wonderful! I was referred to him by friend. I reached out for a emergency evaluation and was accommodated immediately. The exam was thorough, Dr. Forbes explained clearly. I'm delighted to have found my new dentist!

As a Doctor I was very disappointed in how "DR" Forbes presents himself to patients. I will not subject my family to this methods. He is an embarrassment to the dental profession. His staff lacks professionalism. My wife and I urged all our mutual friends in Englewood and Tenafly to stop going to his office. I now go to Dr. Eric Knapp in Park Ridge NJ and I recommend him to everyone that needs a dentist in Bergen County.

What an embarrassment I once again urge everyone to leave this practice as soon as possible. Had a patient come back to tell me the front desk was rude and made them wait while she finished her phone conversation with her mother to attempt and explain the copay without any knowledge of what she was saying! After viewing some xrays from work completed by this joke of a dentist I will also be reporting him to the board of Dentistry! He should no longer be in practice! Do everyone a favor and retire. Current patient I advise you to see a second option on any work completed by Doctor Roy Forbes
