I graduated from Temple University Dental School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduating, I conducted cancer research at Florida International University and continued to advance my education, graduating from the prestigious LVI Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have been practicing dentistry for over 25 years.
Im not your typical dentist. At my office, theres no beating around the bush. I always offer straight-forward, individualized patient care and treat every patient as if they were part of my own family. Aside from driving my office administrator, Christina, crazy, I enjoy golfing with buddies, being a plus one to fancy parties, and training my Maine Coon cats to attack intruders.
We offer restorations crafted from a variety of materials. Each offers their own unique benefits, but many of our patients prefer porcelain crowns because they offer the most natural looking solution. These durable restorations can last for decades with proper care, especially for smaller, front teeth that dont absorb as much pressure while chewing. For back teeth, we may recommend a stronger, less cosmetically appealing material like gold or porcelain fused to gold because these teeth must absorb a higher amount of impact each day.
Dental crowns are cared for in much the same way that you should clean and maintain healthy natural teeth by brushing and flossing each day and visiting a dentist for twice a year checkups and cleanings. Fixed bridges may entail a little extra work. Youll need to use a flosser to clean beneath the bridge between the replacement tooth and the gum tissue to remove plaque buildup and prevent potential gum disease. 4 years ago I wrote my initial review. So much has happened since then. Dr. Rowan had strict protocols during COVID and even invested in a high tech air handling system to keep everyone safe. Two years went by without being able to see behind the masks but now that things are getting back to normal, it's a pleasure to see the smiling faces again. I developed a stress reaction during COVID clenching my teeth at night. My teeth shifted and I needed orthodontic care. My initial inquiry into aligners ended with me "not being a candidate" and needing actual braces. I postponed and postponed due to the cost until my jaw was locking at night causing my whole side of my face to hurt. Dr. Rowan has new technology combining aligners with brackets and 3d imaging. He was able to get me into aligners and save me a lot of money. Within 3 days of having the aligners, my face wasn't hurting. My smile is returning to normal both in it's physical appearance as well as in my delight each time I visit the office. Dr. Rowan and his staff are always cheerful and always ready to go the extra mile to take care of the client. The initial review I wrote 4 years ago remains the same ---- Changing dentists after years is traumatic. You never know if the new doctor will "fit." SO glad I was referred to Dr. Rowan. I think he is probably the best dentist of all my 60 years. The staff are great and the office is remarkable. It doesn't feel like a "dentist's office." Dr. Rowan has a larger than life personality and it reflects in every aspect of his practice. Most importantly, the doctor spent more time getting to know me and my dental history than any dentist prior. The thoroughness of the intake was very reassuring. No new "surprises" from a new dentist and I left feeling that I am now in the most competent care I could ever hope to find. And I love the music!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Our sons pediatric dentist completely failed us and he ended up with a much larger issue. He had an infected tooth and abcess. His fever was very high and he could barely move any part of his body. It was one of the scariest moments for my husband and I. We made phone call after phone call, hospitals, ERs and got nowhere, even given the severity of the situation. Dr. Rowen was the one person who acted fast and helped us. That night he told us what to do to keep him comfortable and he came in first thing Saturday morning (when the office is closed) He got the pharmacy to fill an antibiotic with zero wait, I grabbed that and headed right to his office first thing. He gave us us a detailed explanation of what was going on, showed us the x-rays and did everything he could for us. He never hesitated, didn't make us wait.He followed up with us a few times to see how our son was and saw us twice after that. I don't know where we would have been had he not acted as fast as he did for us. He truly cared about him and wanted to cause him as little pain as possible. I am beyond grateful. I won't go anywhere else for myself.

I can not say enough about Dr Robert Rowen...amazing and brilliant Dentist but he goes the extra mile [or 10].....just a brilliant Dr. who loves what he does and cares so about his patientts!!!! All I can say is WOW and lucky me for having him as my Dentist!!!!! And must also comment about his "team" who are amazing too!!!!!!!!! Who can honestly say they look forward to seeing their "Dentist". I CAN!!!!!!!!

Dr Rowen did a crown for my implant. The crown become unstable within months. I had to see a separate dentist who specializes in implants for her to tell me that Dr Rowen did the crown in a way she does not recommend, and it needed to be removed and redone a different way. I had the crown redone the correct way and no problems in over a year. Dr Rowen's billing manager told me the office would not bill me for my out of pocket since the crown failed. I was willing to forget the whole ordeal, and started seeing a new dentist. BUT, Dr Rowen just recently billed me for the work he originally did over 2 years ago that was done wrong. The office's new billing manager told me the old manager is gone and didn't make a note that they agreed to waive my out of pocket, so now they want to collect it. I find this despicable. Dr Rowen screwed up my crown, then agreed to waive the bill (which was obviously the right thing to do), but then 2 years later hired a new billing manager and refuses to abide by his agreement not to bill for his defective work. There are much better dentists and dental offices in the area, as I have now discovered. I highly recommend you look elsewhere for your dental needs.

The entire staff are friendly and welcoming. Dr. Rowan approaches his work with an eye for perfection while being courteous, compassionate and cheerful. The office is beautiful and tasteful. Great lighting and good music. A most pleasant experience.

This was the first Dentistry i ever visited and i was nervous because of the fear of going to the dentist and sounds of the drills and other devices.but this guy Dr. Rowen made me feel relax and comfortable and the small tv screens that's over the chair showing the country of Switzerland and mountain terrain that was very relaxing. But the work he perform is beyond extraordinary he's a perfectionist in his work and the cleaning by the hygienist is perfect and the white crowns i got in by Dr.Rowen is the best and i have gotten compliments from othe dentist and regular people who praises his work he done for me..you got to try this office you won't be disappointed..

Dr. Rowen and his staff are top-notch. I had an infected gum and Dr. Rowen saw me immediately, followed up on my progress to ensure the problem was resolved. The office is open for business and they are taking the utmost precautions during this pandemic I would definately recommend Dr. Rowen for all your dental needs.
