Dr. Ali Arastu was raised in San Antonio, Texas from the age of 2 after his parents transferred there due to his mothers work as a United States Air Force Officer. He attended Boston University for his undergraduate studies, where he received a Bachelors degree in Classical Civilizations and Religion. He attended dental school at Boston University School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 2011. He received the American Academy of Periodontology Award for his work as a student in the field of Periodontology. He also received the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Award for his work as a student in the field of Pediatric Dentistry. He completed his specialty training in the field of Periodontics and Implant Dentistry in 2014 at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he also received a Masters degree, studying the use of Lasers in periodontal therapy.
Dr. Arastu moved to Philadelphia in 2014 while his wife completed her training in the medical field. While there, he worked in private practice as a periodontist for the next 6 years. He also taught as a part-time faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dentistry, Department of Periodontics. He taught both clinical periodontics and didactic classes in classic and current periodontal literature. In 2018 he received the J George Coslet Distinguished Teaching Award from UPENN Department of Periodontics. In 2019, he received the American Academy of Periodontics Educator Award for his work at UPENN. Teaching has always been, and will always be his passion.
He is blessed with a wife, who is a gastroenterologist and transplant hepatologist in the greater Austin area, and two daughters. Dr. Arastu loves outdoor adventures with the family, and studying film and the history of cinema. Let him know what your favorite movie is when you meet him!

Kendra began assisting right out of high school and worked at a general dentistry office for 4 years. She graduated from ACC Dental Assisting School in 2008, joined Round Rock Periodontics shortly after, and is now the lead surgical assistant.
Aside from assisting Dr. Arastu, Kendra loves spending time with her husband, Shawn, and son, Kason. He makes sure to always keep her on her toes, but she enjoys every minute of it. Some of their favorite things to do together are fishing, watching him play T-ball, and spending time outdoors. Any time spent with them, even if its just lounging around, is time well spent.
When asked why she loves her job, with no hesitation, she said, definitely the patient relationships. Knowing you are one of the reasons they look forward to returning is rewarding. She says that working for a great dentist and team makes coming to work easy because we are like one big family!
Holly joined Round Rock Periodontics in 2001. She likes working at Round Rock Periodontics because she loves working in such a friendly and family-oriented atmosphere, meeting new people, and helping patients feel better about themselves by providing great dentistry. Hollysays that one of her favorite parts of her job is seeing how much happier and more confident patients are when they see their newly restored smile.
Heather grew up in Menominee, in the upper peninsula of Michigan. She graduated from Ferris State Universitys Dental Hygiene program in 2008 and has worked at Round Rock Periodontics since August of 2017. She has experience as a hygienist in many areas of dentistry, such as orthodontics, general dentistry, and periodontics. Heather has many continuing education hours in dental sleep medicine (sleep apnea and other sleep disorders in relation to the mouth) and is certified in the use of lasers in dentistry.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband, Jesse and four children: Logan, Lily, Bentley, and Brady. Her kids are very active in extracurricular activities, and when theyre not busy with their activities, they love to go camping, boating, and to hockey games. They also love taking their two golden retrievers, Ranger and Brenham, swimming.

Dr. Arastu performed complicated tissue grafting oral surgery on me and couldn't have been more skilled, caring and helpful. Kendra and Holly in the office were very supportive and helpful through the process also. All of the staff helped me through a challenging procedure to a successful outcome. Went for a procedure and the staff was awesome! Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. They made sure I was comfortable the entire time, as well as for my follow up visits. Dr. Ali is also so friendly and down to earth.....I would absolutely choose this place for any periodontic needs.

Dr Aristu is exceptional in his expertise, communication and compassion. From the moment you meet him you are aware he has great concern for you as a person and a patient. I have some pretty serious gum issues; having missed to many cleanings during the COVID farce, and frankly I was scared. Dr Aristu, put me at peace immediately with his calm caring demeanor. There is no guesswork here. He is very thorough in his exam and included me in a detailed review of my X-rays. Then, to my suprise, rather than offering me a 'cookie cutter' treatment plan, he explained my options in detail If I asked for clarity he was very forthcoming. Never ever annoyed by my questions. He asked if he might confer with my referring dentist, so together they can offer my best options. To seek the wisdom of others in your field is a sigh of humility and professionalism. I trust him. If you need a periodontist, look no further. As a side note, his staff are models of his style and demeanor. Kind, caring, thorough, and openly friendly. Peace reigns here. Spencer Houghton

I am constantly having something wrong with my teeth but this was the first time I needed an implant. I was referred to a place in Austin but decided to go here because it was closer, in network with my insurance and they were so friendly and willing to work with me. First off the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Then when I met Dr. Ali Arastu it was just the same. He was kind and gentle and had good bedside manner. When I went it for my implant surgery I opted to stay awake. This was the most easiest, fastest dental work I have EVER done. Setting the process up was longer then the procedure. They explained everything as it was happening and someone was with you all the time to help with any anxiety you may have. After the surgery I had very little to no pain after. I took my medication because I didn't want to be behind the pain but that only lasted 1 day and after that I took ibuprofen as needed. Dr. Ali Arastu and his staff are too notch and I HIGHLY recommend anyone needing their services to go here! I will forever choose them because I'm sure I'll need more work done later on!

Dr.Arastu is amazing! He saw a previous review I posted about no contact information and he immediately called me on his personal cell phone! My husband had bleeding from a procedure and he came in on a Sunday after a 3am flight to help us out. He is by far one of the nicest doctors we have seen. I couldn't say enough about his care for his patients!

No complaints on the doctor or other staff. They one complaint I have is Holly. I called to asked questions about a statement and she had a attitude. We've been going there for several months now and never experienced such ugliness until now. She started being hostile and having ugly remarks smh just extremely rude.

My 10 year old son needed to have surgery on his front tooth in order to pull is down with a chain. They did an amazing job! Dr. Arastu and his team and front desk were the best, and so friendly and kind. We highly recommend them!

Going to the dentist is not how anyone wants to finish their day with, but the staff at Round Rock Periodontics we're extremely profession. Every step of what Dr. Ali was doing was explained to me as he went along. Holly and Kendra made my visit so much more stress and anxiety free. These two ladies were except my pleasant and we even had a few laughs. Highly recommend them.

Excellent and friendly experience! I had 2 molar implants needing to be installed, and Dr. Arastu made it look effortless. His team used robotics technology to place the implants perfectly and painlessly. He and his staff were very professional and friendly, highly recommend!

Great experience! I had only been to the dentist once in my life and they had ruined dentist visits for me. After 9 years of running away from dentists, Dr. Arastu gave me great assurance by making this experience very smooth and painless. Will be coming back always!

I had five implants done right before the pandemic started! So I had a lot of work done during the pandemic! Dr Milman his wife and all of his staff were always friendly and professional and worked very hard to make your visit a safe and pleasant experience! My implants feel just like my real teeth! So I'm completely satisfied with the work that they did! It was worth it!

I was seen by Dr Ali Arastu at Round Rock Periodontics and I'm so pleased with my care. He evaluated my situation, clearly communicated my options, and helped me make a plan of action. He was clear in his explanation which really put me at ease. I like Round Rock Periodontics so well that I'm willing to drive from Bastrop. It's very personal thoughtful care. The office and support staff are friendly and professional. 5 star care!
