The staff here are super caring and accommodating. I think there is a lot of turn over with the dental assistants though. I need to add that being caring doesn't equate to being skilled, however. Maybe we're the odd ones out of the bunch but my husband and I still have post procedure pain. I went for 2 crowns and 3 cavities. My teeth that had the cavities done, still feel gritty all around. Like they are covered in sand paper. The crowns are smooth, lack texture underneath, and are too long on the sides. I think the assistant did the molds wrong or they are just cheap quality. My previous crowns from a different dentist are much better. Originally, a crown was advised as I was having sensitivity to cold and hot on that tooth. Now, I have constant pain in that tooth after the temporary and the permanent crown. Dr. Zhang advised a root canal thru the crown but would charge me. My pain is worse now than before and since I relocated to San Diego, I will have to find a new dentist to fix this issue. I wish I would have been given novacaine for the permanent placement. That part was so painful, I almost cried from frustration. I've birthed 2 kids with no meds and this hurt more than that. My husband's jaw continues to hurt 3 weeks after his crown. This situation is just all around awful. I hate to leave bad reviews for health care providers, as I am one, but I would not recommend this office for dental care based on our experiences.

After many years of dental neglect I had to have some serious work done. (Tooth extraction and Root Canal) After reading through some reviews Round Lake seemed like a great fit. The staff are all very caring and courteous. Dr. Zahn and his staff were continually checked up on me to ensure I was doing okay. Painless and efficient. Highly recommend!

My whole family has been going here for years. It works out great with the kids school schedule and they are so accommodating. We wouldn't think about going anywhere else!

Fixed a filling that needed replacing. Great staff and hss evening hours so I don't have to use pto. Good attitudes and great dentist!

I've had many crowns (6) put in by Dr. Zhan and they've all been great! He's a perfectionist, which is a definite quality you want in your dentist. I've also been getting three cleanings each year to keep my gum disease under control and they've been doing a great job staying on top of it to prevent more problems. If you want a great dentist with a great staff, go to Round Lake Dental!

I have been going to Round Lake Dental for about 4 yrs and I have just had a crown replaced and honestly it was such an painless procedure with Dr.Proeschel. Even the novacaine shot was painless. He is gentle but really good.I have been to alot of dentist in the last 60 yrs.and have had a lot work done but I have never been as happy with a dentist as I am with Round Lake Dental. The whole staff are great. Friendly and helpful. Kim is excellent at cleaning teeth. I have also seen Dr. Zhan who is very good.

I would not recommend going to Round Lake Dental unless you enjoy being manipulated and up-charged for routine exams and cleanings. Let me explain. The dentist I used before moving would have me request an extra 15 min time to have a little extra time when having my routine cleanings to use the descaler. Out of courtesy, I wanted to continue this practice when starting with a new dentist. The receptionist contacted me later that week to get my insurance information. She was going to check if my insurance would cover a "Deep Cleaning." I questioned this, why is this not a routine cleaning? The receptionist then asked if my prior dentist put me to sleep for my cleanings. I said, "No, my previous dentist just asked me to remind them so they could schedule a little extra time to use the descaler." The receptionist said that there was some confusion, the cleaning should not be a problem, so I scheduled an appointment. On the day of my appointment, Kym, the hygienist, did my x-rays and sat my chair up because she would not do the cleaning today. Kym explained I would need to make another appointment for deep cleaning. Just like they wanted to do before ever seeing my teeth! There was NO way I would do any more business with Round Lake Dental. Doing Business with Round Lake Dental cost me 3 hours of my workday, and I genuinely feel they used deceptive business practices. Shame on you, Round Lake Dental!

Monica at the front desk is amazing. She went above and beyond to get me squeezed in for a dental issue and then continued following up with me even after I was referred on to a specialist. Both Dr. Proeschel and Dr. Zahn are caring and compassionate and truly want to make sure you are comfortable. Thank you all for getting me through this!!

The staff here are very knowledgeable and friendly. My granddaughter has always had a fear of the dentist and they have made her feel comfortable and safe. They take their time and help her handle her anxiety. They do not pressure their patients and they are priced fairly.

I moved, so I needed to switch Dentist's. Dr. Zahn and his staff took such good care of me! I get very nervous at my appointments, Assistant Heather put me at ease, and before I knew it, I was all done! 5 STARS!

I used to see Dr. Swenson when he practiced here and now that I am back in the area I miss him but I am so pleased with the new staff and doctors. Dr. Zhan is very detail oriented and spent a lot of time explaining the treatment I needed and gave me options that made sense to me. I appreciated them seeing me on such short notice, thank you for making me feel so comfortable!!!

I was told I needed 2 crowns. IIn addition to the crowns they told me I had 2 cavities Dr Swenson had just retired. So it was a new dentist. With Dr Swenson I was always able to pay in full. And he would work with me after I no longer had insurance. But this time their costs had skyrocketed! I am writing this a year later because I couldn't afford to have those 2 cavities filled after paying for the crowns. I did request a copy of the xrays they took because I was going to CA the next week and wanted to give the xrays to the dentist there. They assured me they had emailed them to me. They didn't. Even after requesting them 4x's and being told each time they would send the xrays they never did. The dentist in CA said I didn't have any cavities. I wonder now if I even needed those crowns? I am grateful for the reviewers who shared similar experiences. Those reviews validated my experience and gave me the courage to write my own.
