Dr. Yucedal was raised and attended high school in New York City. Upon graduation, she attended the State University of New York at Binghamton where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry. After college, she did clinical research with Americas leading researchers in Pharmacology at Columbia University Hospital. In 2000, she pursued her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She completed her General Practice Residency at University Hospital in Long Island, NY. She then moved to upstate New York and practiced for several years as an associatedentist in a private practice.
While practicing in Upstate New York, she visited the Capital District often and became intrigued with the lifestyle the area had to offer. For her, it was the best place to raise a family. She moved to the area and started an associate dentist position in Troy, NY. After working for several years as an associate, she opened her own Private Practice in Rotterdam, New York.
To keep up with the ever-changing field of dentistry, Dr. Yucedal devoted herself to continuous education. She has taken part in many educational events at prestigious Universities including Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Study, Tuft University in Boston, University of Toronto, Canada and the Microsurgical Endodontic Institute in Boston.
She prides herself on providing her patients with the newest and most advanced technology and procedures. She is a member of American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, and local Dental Society and has received numerous certificates for her continued education. Her professional objective is to help her patients achieve and maintain their dental health in an informative, warm, friendly and caring environment.
Dr. Yucedal takes her time with her patients and helps them overcome their fear. She believes that sedative techniques alone arent enough for patients with dental phobia. Dr. Yucedal believes that one of the most effective ways to control anxiety is establishing trust with her patients.

have always had a real phobia of going to the dentist from childhood. When I needed immediate dental care I went to Aspen Dental who ruined my mouth by extracting teeth. I was in need of a dentist this year as I needed some extensive work to be done. That's when I found Dr Selma! Best experience of dental work I have ever had. I was extremely nervous the first appointment but she and her staff made me feel so comfortable. Dr Selma is the best; she's personable and so easy to talk to that I've never been nervous to go back for appointments. Our son is getting married and I so badly needed my smile back. I had pretty extensive work done on the many appointments and she was so understanding that I needed my partials in time for it. She was so dedicated to me she was going to drive to the lab in Utica to pick up my partials if they weren't sent back to her practice in time for the wedding! I'm wearing my partials, they are so comfortable because Dr Selma is meticulous in her practice and I'm ready to smile comfortably this Saturday for the wedding! Best dentist EVER!

Had an emergency and they got me in right away. The girls at reception were so helpful and the staff in the back were great. Dr. Yucedal is a wonderful doctor who really listened to me. Best practice all around.

This is hands down the best dental office Ive ever been to. Liz was very cheerful at check in and Danielle was so helpful with my insurance. The clinical staff was so cheerful and upbeat. It was a pleasure seeing everyone is such good spirits.

The dentist and all clinical staff are excellent EXCEPT the receptionists!! Thought since Lisa was no longer there it would be a great office. This hands down would be an amazing office all around, if they could hire pleasant and polite receptionists since they are the first people you see when you enter the building. The receptionist before Lisa as so pleasant, they need to bring her back!!!! Questioned my payment amount at checkout for clarification but only be met with rudeness. Had a claim submitted to my insurance for a pretreatment and called to question why. Was basically told they didn't submit anything but had the claim right in front of me in black and white Update: So because I questioned the fraudulent pre treatment claim submitted to my insurance company I received a letter stating they will no longer treat me. With that being said I will be filling a complaint with the ADA as well as my insurance company for fraud.. rude and unprofessional office staff not clinical staff cause all the issues for this company!!

We are very lucky to have found Dr. Yucedal for our dental needs. I've been especially impressed with some crowns she has made; excellent workmanship, in a single visit, with very reasonable prices. Her hygienist, receptionist, and assistants are great as well - I strongly recommend the practice to anyone in the Schenectady area who needs a general dentist.

I am so grateful for these beautiful people who helped me out last week I had a bad toothache (never experienced any mouth pain ever). My wisdom tooth was killing me and they did not hesitate to get me in and take the pain away I appreciate you all!

My first experience with this Rotterdam Dental arts was the best I have ever had in any medical field. I had a very painful cavity and everyone from the receptionist, dental assistants and dentist were fast professional attentive. I can not speak highly enough of the entire experience. 10/10 would recommend if you live in Schenectady county you should be going here. If you are looking for a dentist go to Rotterdam Dental Arts you won't regret it.

The entire team under Dr.Yucedal is wonderful, EXCEPT the extremely rude and unprofessional receptionist. Every time I call or even in person she's as pessimistic as one can be. Would love to give 5/5 but that receptionist holds me from doing so. Looking for a great dentist? This is THE place to go, just do your best to ignore the rudeness of her receptionist.

I called Rotterdam Dental Arts with an emergency dental issue. I was seen within an hour. I wasn't a current patient at the time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They truly care about their patients. Dr. Yucedal was wonderful! She was willing to squeeze me in the following day for the procedure because she did not want me to go all weekend without being treated. I will definitely keep going to this practice and I am so thankful for all they did to help me. Thank you to all the staff at Rotterdam Dental Arts!

There is no Dental office better than this one. I am not a person who every wanted to go to a Dentist but now with Dr. Yucedel it is so easy. Also interactions with Lisa are always great. She is there to help and a great asset to this office.

After an initial office visit, a follow up appointment could not be arranged so I was told by the receptionist that she would call me. A week later, no callback. It took another phone call after a week's time to get a response.. The clinical staff however, is fabulous!

Hands down best dentist and staff around. Lisa at the front desk is very very helpful and knowledgeable regarding dental insurance and billing. Hygienists are so professional and make you feel comfortable. And Dr. Yucedal is the absolute BEST. She takes the fear out of going to the dentist, caring, and very precise and thorough with the work she does. I hope she stays in the area for a long time because I would never go to another dentist.
