I am originally from Florence, South Carolina. I graduated from Forsyth, Tufts and Harvards Dental Hygiene School in Boston. My interest in dentistry continued and I earned my Bachelor of Science from Columbia University in New York. Upon graduation, I practiced Dental Hygiene for five years in a private practice in the Massachusetts General Hospital. In 1980 I received my Doctor of Dental Science Degree from Emory University. I graduated with honors and joined the faculty of Emory University as an associate professor at the dental school.
I taught at Emory University until going into private practice in Roswell, Georgia. I attend continuing education classes every month to stay current in numerous specialties including esthetic and cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, crown and bridge, dental veneers, teeth whitening, porcelain crowns, periodontics, prosthetics and pain management. This helps me present treatment options that can satisfy your dental needs. I am presently an associate professor at the Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Blankenship is so kind and genuine that it was easy to trust her. She was gentle and was not rushed. The office is beautiful and welcoming, which I believe is important since going to the dentist isn't always exactly peoples favorite thing to do. I would give more stars if I could!

A+ to the staff at Market Place Dentistry! Everyone that works here is very friendly and welcoming. Dr Blankenship does excellent work and takes the time to get to know her patients and make sure they are comfortable. Highly recommend!

Dr. Blankenship and the staff were phenomenal during my visit. They are respectful of peoples time with getting them in and out, while not compromising for quality of their care. Nothing but bright smiles throughout the office!

I have seen Dr Blankenship & her staff on three occasions now & I've been very pleased. She is very friendly, professional & did an amazing job repairing an ongoing problem. Also, there wasn't a long wait-a huge bonus when visiting any doctors office! I high recommend Dr. Blankenship & her entire staff!

Dr. Koenig has been my dentist since I was a child. The staff is warm and welcoming but very focused on giving you the best level of care that they can. Dr. Koenig's goal is to make you feel comfortable when you are having work done be it a regular cleaning or more intensive work. I had a crown done with Roswell Family Dentistry a few years ago and the entire process was easy. Highly recommended.
