Dr. Maggie T. Chao earned her DMD from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She then furthered her training at Harvard to sharpen her diagnostic and clinical skills with a residency in Prosthodontics. During her residency, she was awarded for her achievements in material science research and excellence in clinical care. Dr. Chao also earned a Master of Medical Science in Oral Biology.
Dr. Chao is passionate about dentistry and delivering the highest quality care to all of her patients. She practices the full scope of prosthetic and esthetic dentistryfrom veneers to dental implants, crowns, and bridges. She is an expert in full-mouth reconstructions including All-On-4/Teeth in a Day smile transformations.
Born and raised in California, Dr. Chao completed her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley before moving to Boston for dental school. Having returned to the Bay Area in 2002, Dr. Chao pursued her love for academia as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California at San Francisco. She took a sabbatical at the University to focus on her private practice and raising her children. Dr. Chao is also recognized for her presentations on her research and innovative clinical techniques at national dental conferences. Dr. Chao keeps up to date with the latest technology as an active member in the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Contra Costa and Alameda Dental Societies, and the American College of Prosthodontics. Dr. Chao is a board-eligible member of the American Board of Prosthodontists. Locally, she is the Prosthodontic consultant to several Study Clubs dedicated to improving the knowledge base of dentists in our community.
Dr. Orson Leong is a general dentist with over 25 years of clinical practice in the Bay Area. He is experienced in all phases of general dentistry with an emphasis in cosmetic and implant dentistry. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and practiced in downtown San Francisco for the first 12 years. Marriage and family provided him the opportunity to relocate in Fremont, where he practiced for another 13 years of private practice. He is a member of several professional organizations including the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the Southern Alameda County Dental Society.
My philosophy is, first and foremost, to listen and to understand your needs and concerns. Through this two-way communication, we can arrive at a mutual common goal of health, function and aesthetics for a beautiful smile.
Dr. Okumoto was born and raised in Southern California, and now resides in Emeryville. He obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Biology at the University of California, San Diego in 2008. Over the next 2 years, he worked as an assistant business manager at a dental office in San Diego where he developed a passion for the dental field. He then attended the University Of California Los Angeles School Of Dentistry and obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He is a member of the Southern Alameda County Dental Society, the California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.
My goal is to provide the best dental care possible in a comfortable and friendly environment. I place high value on doctor/patient communication in order to provide my patients with the information they need to make good, sound decisions regarding their life-long dental health.
Dr. Yi Luo earned her DDS from UCLA School of Dentistry in 2016. She completed not just one residency, but two! Her first was an AEGD at UCLA where she found a fondness and inclination for complex dentistry. She pursued her education in Prosthodontics at UCSF and graduated with numerous honors. Dr. Luo picked Prosthodontics as her specialty because it is the heart of dentistry. Prosthodontists strive to understand function and develop a smile that can last because the bite or occlusion is balanced. Dr. Luo feels that Prosthodontics is the ultimate blend of art and science.
When it comes to science, one of Dr. Luos many accomplishments is that she has published numerous articles. The most recent of which studies dental implant risk factors. Out of this collaborative study, she and her colleagues developed an online interactive risk assessment that lets people learn about their risk factors for dental implant treatment. Dr. Luo Joined Pleasanton Prosthodontics in 2020. Dr. Chao and Dr. Luo hit it off immediately when they started talking 3D dentistry. Patients have taken to Dr. Luo also-not only is she good with her hands, She is a technology whiz and kind hearted to boot!
Personally, Dr. Luo grew up in Beijing, China and she studied Stomatology at Peking University. She and her husband are new parents and are enjoying the adventure of raising their son here in Pleasanton. Please come by to meet Dr. Luo if you havent already!

Rosewood took great care of me, top to bottom. Charlotte went above and beyond finding insurance and was extremely welcoming and encouraging. I was a little self-conscious, as it had been so long since seeing a dentist. No shame! They made me feel so supported. Very informative, very professional. The hygienist was the most skilled I've ever come across. The doctor was top notch. Bedside manner from both doctor and hygienist was stellar. I highly recommend!

My family members all go to this dentist's office & are always happy with the level of care & professionalism. Charlotte in the front office is so nice to talk to. She's very organized. I highly recommend Dr Okumoto. He's created a crown for me & sealants & fillings for my teenagers. 5-stars

First off, the staff here is great, very welcoming and professional, I felt comfortable. I hadn't been to the dentist in nine years and needed some pretty extensive work, Dr Okumoto made a plan for my priorities, he explained everything clearly, so I felt good about my plan. Next appointment I saw Dr Leong for the first three fillings, again he explained everything very professionally, and did great work, both of these Dr's are patient and friendly. Im very happy with the work so far.

Folks at the dentist office were very professional. Inspite of the global pandemic, they ensured all precautions were taken, provided pleasant experience. Charloette had explained all the details on billing very clearly, on what is covered, what will be my out of pocket expense, etc. Overall very professional & pleasant experience for the customers.

Rosewood Dental Care is the absolute best! They have the kindest, most understanding And professional staff. I had the pleasure of interacting with Misty, Charlotte, Kat, and Dr Leong, and they were ALL incredibly accommodating and made me feel welcome -- for me, that's a first when it comes to a dental visit! On top of everything, they were so transparent on all matters and truly willing to go above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable with my treatment. I really appreciated that! I've always been a bit ambivalent and anxious about visiting the dentist -- not anymore though :)

My family and I have gone to Rosewood Dental for several years now. He and his staff are very professional, knowledgeable, and care for their patients. They take time to listen to their patients' problems and concerns. The staff is very sweet and professional. His dental hygienists are the best; they are very friendly and gentle.
