Dr. Rosenstein graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 1978 and then the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1982. After completing a residency at Lenox Hill Hospital he worked in Israel in a dental clinic as a volunteer in 1984. He returned and received his post-graduate degree in periodontics in 1986. He has been in private proactive since 1986, maintaining 2 offices in Manhattan and Suffern and taught at Lenox Hill Hospital as an attending staff member for 15 years.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Rosenstein is an avid trumpet player and studied Latin music in Cuba graduating from La Escuela de Musica y Artes in Havana. He also plays in a jazz big band and performs at St. Cecilia Church for the weekly Spanish Mass on Sundays.
Dr. Rosenstein has also been an active photographer and published 2 books. Tattooed Walls published in 2006, the controversial book on street murals and was accompanied by a month long exhibition at the Eye Jammie Fine Arts Gallery. His latest book Manhattan Windows was publishes in 2014. He also worked as a sports photographer from 1996-2000 for the Associated Press with renowned photographer Lou Requena at Shea Stadium covering the New York Mets.
Dr. Rosenstein is a passionate animal lover, particularly cats of which he has four. He is a member of several animal rescue organizations and has been involved with rescuing and protecting animals for many years.
