Dr. Johansen is a board-certified pediatric dentist. He graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California, in 2001. Following dental school, he completed a two-year pediatric dental residency at Primary Childrens Medical Center.
He has been in private practice since 2003 and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. A Utah native, Dr Johansen enjoys doing a wide variety of outdoor activities with his family. Dr. Johansen is married with five childrenthree sons and two daughters.
In 2012, Dr. Ryan Burt graduated Creighton University and before that, completed his undergraduate studies at BYU with degrees in biology and Japanese. To maintain his advanced education and training, he regularly attends continuing education meetings. He even became board-certified in pediatric dentistry, in which he was trained for two years at the University of Nebraska. Dr. Burt is also a member of the ADA, AAPD and ALD.
Dr. Burts goal is to provide quality care for children and allows them to leave knowing they have a caring dentist as well as ensuring parents that their children are getting the best care he can provide. Dr. Burt is married with five kids of his own, too! Outside of the office, he loves camping, hiking, sports and going to sporting events with family.
Dr. Travis Hickok earned his Bachelors of Science degree in medical biology from the University of Utah prior to attending Marquette University for dental school, where he graduated with his dental degree in 2008. He completed his General Practice Residency at the University of Utah, and regularly pursues continuing education and training. He has practiced in the Salt Lake City area for 10 years. As a dentist, Dr. Hickoks goal is provide each patient he meets with the best experience possible and results that lead to a healthy mouth.
Marilyn has worked at both Jordan Landing and at our sister location in Rose Park. Every day she loves working at Rose Park Pediatric Dentistry, from routinely filing dental insurance claims, to keeping our office fully equipped. Through her example, she motivates our staff to go above and beyond for our patients. Happily married, with two daughters and a son at home, she spends her free time swimming, watching family movies, pursuing art, going to Disneyland and attending summer night bonfires.
Ana has only been with Rose Park Pediatric Dentistry a short while, but in that time, she has helped our young patients have a great experience visiting the dentist. She loves working in a place that reminds her of her childhood and enjoys helping families feel comfortable and part of the community. Ana is fluent in Spanish and is married with two amazing kids. On her free time, she hangs out with her family, goes outdoors to hike and samples new, local restaurants!
Guadalupe is Lead Assistant at Rosepark Pediatric Dentistry. Guadalupe joined our team on 2020 and loved it. Guadalupe Went to Fortis college were she received her Dental Assistant Certificate. Guadalupe Loves working with kids, teaching them about good oral hygiene and how they can improve it. Guadalupe loves Our team! Guadalupe has 3 sisters and 1 brother, on her free time she loves to go hiking, and spend quality time with family. She loves to travel with her boyfriend and go out doors with her 2 amazing dogs Akira a husky and Hachi a Siberian Husky.
Josselin joined Rose Park Pediatric Dentistry in 2015. She graduated from Hillcrest High in 2012, and received her dental assisting certificate from the Academy of Dental Careers in 2014. She enjoys educating patients about oral hygiene, and loves knowing that she can make a difference in someones dental experience by being part of such an awesome team. Josselin is the oldest of five and is happy with her significant other. They enjoy hiking, traveling, watching movies and eating out.
Cameron is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints in Northern Virginia for two years. He is fluent in American Sign Language which he learned during the course of his mission, When he is not in the office, Cameron likes to play Hockey, Volleyball, and Golf. He also likes to hang out with his Wife and Friends.
From the time your childs first tooth appears, it is important to make sure their dental health is taken care of. Your childs first tooth should appear at about seven months. This is when you should first start to use a toothbrush and toothpaste, though it is also important to regularly clean your infants mouth and gums with a soft rag or infant cloth. (This will help maintain your childs overall oral health and protect them from infant-associated diseases.)
By the time your child turns 3, all 20 of their primary (baby) teeth should be visible. Even before this happens, our pediatric dentist will often ask parents to start teaching their children proper at-home brushing. Only use a small (pea-sized) amount of toothpaste, making sure your child spits out any extra paste. As your child grows older, daily flossing should also be added to their routine.

I love this office. I recently got custody of my 3 nephews and made them an appointment at the salt lake city office. The staff is great with my new boys . The dentist was amazing they did all the work in one visit and that really saved me time. Also all 3 of my boys were very comfortable. We will be back to the office in 6 months and i will refer everyone i know that might need a new pediatric dentist. loved the visits i also was very comfortable and well informed.
