DR. MAYANK D. VORA has practiced endodontics as a specialist since 2003 with over ten years of practice right here in Livingston County. He received his Master of Science degree in chemical engineering at Wayne State University in 1991. The dental treatment that Dr. Vora underwent during his seven years as an engineer kindled his interest in dentistry as a career. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan in 2001 and his specialty training in endodontics at the University of Illinois in 2003.
Dr. Vora has served as both clinical and pre-clinical instructor for endodontics at the University of Illinois. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists and the Livingston District Dental Society. Dr. Vora has presented research at the Annual Session of the American Association of Endodontists in Anaheim, California in 2004 and was an invited professor to the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala in Guatemala City in 2010 where he lectured to postdoctoral graduate endodontic students. He has also been a past president of the Western branch of the Detroit District Dental Society and has served in the Michigan Dental Association House of Delegates.
In his spare time Dr. Vora enjoys hiking, model-making, sketching and photography. This summer he climbed Cirque Peak (9,820 ft) in the Canadian Rockies and he has also hiked the Annapurna Circuit Trek in Nepal, a grueling 3-week hike that tops out at almost 18,000 ft. He is an avid gardener and enjoys creating bonsai. Two of his miniature trees took first and second place in the Intermediate level at the Four Seasons Bonsai Clubs Annual Show in Rochester Hills this August.

I had to make an emergency appointment due to an issue with one of my teeth, the team at Roots jumped through hoops to get me in as fast as possible, in fact it was the next day. Walking into the office was really comforting, beautiful facility and the receptionist wow what a great person. The team in the back did an amazing job trying to make sure I was comfortable. They had a great rapport and really kept the mood light which was refreshing. The doctor was quick to identify the issue and had a plan immediately to fix my tooth. I would highly recommend the team at Roots Endodontics knowing they do incredible work.

This place is very professional and absolutely cares about their patients. Dr. Vora and his assistant Karen were both super nice, both talkative and able to be casual yet so professional. Numbing went smoothly and when I wasn't completely numb at first, they gave me more to ensure that I would go through the procedure pain-free. Karen was very pleasant and even let me choose the music to ensure that the environment was comfortable enough for me to go through my root canal. They worked cleanly and made sure that I would leave the building satisfied and free of pain. Dr. Vora did an amazing job, and this place deserves the rating they have earned. I had such a fantastic experience at this office!!! The staff were so nice and put my anxiety to rest. No pain during the procedure and a warm lavender scented towellette to end my visit ^_^ Dr. Vora had the best stories and explained everything so nicely. Couldn't recommend Roots more!

Roots Endodontics is the place to be if you need a root canal! I was in need of an emergency root canal and Kim was able to accommodate my schedule and get me in quickly for the procedure. The office is clean, modern, and spa-like (cold bottled water, music choice, massage chairs, and a hot towel after treatment). Christine and Stacy were great and ensured that I was comfortable during the entire procedure. Dr. Vora was extremely friendly and answered all of my questions with exceptional knowledge. My root canal was painless and was one of the best dental procedures I've experienced from start to finish. If you're in need of a root canal, I definitely recommend Roots! The good-natured staff, high quality equipment, and comforting office are sure to make your root canal experience the best it can be. Thank God for good Endodontists! I was in a lot of pain in the right mandible area, to the point where even eating was impossible and there seemed to be no obvious cause. Dr Vora took the time to narrow down the source cause of my pain and completed the needed root canal in the same visit. The culprit turned out to be an upper back tooth. Strange. Even better, the whole procedure was incredibly easy. I'm thoroughly thrilled to finally be out of pain. Thanks, Dr. Vora and team.

This place was amazing, I probably could of taken a nap while they were doing my root canal!! Yeah that good! Dr. Vora is awesome. Also do yourself a favor and go see Karen! She was a Rockstar! Super nice and professional! She's the bee's knees!

Absolutely amazing experience with quality care. The office is beautiful and extremely clean with amenities such as bottled water. From the second when I walked in and was greeted by Wendy who was so pleasant and helpful, I knew the appointment would go well. I was then cared for by Karen who was the absolute sweetest and talked to me so openly, explained everything to make me feel more comfortable, and even let me choose my own music to listen to throughout the appointment. Dr. Vora also took great care of me and was very thorough in ensuring that I needed a root canal before making any assumptions. After evaluation, he and Karen both ensured that I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure. They were extremely sterile throughout the procedure and paid great attention to every detail which, as someone in the medical field, I appreciated very much. I would highly recommend them to anyone as this was one of the best healthcare experiences I have had!

Dr Page referred me to Roots Endodontics for a root canal...Warm and welcoming and state of the art and not at all scary . Dr Vora and Christine explained everything so clearly and were so kind and helped ease my worries...AND they were able to see me the same day as this tooth started to really hurt ... and they play good music... Bonus! I give this practice 5 stars

I work for a dentist and we refer all our patients to Roots Endodontics! I had to be a patient today due to a toothache and Dr. Vora stayed late to treat me. He and his staff are so caring and fun! I had to go here as a referral from my normal dentist to have a tooth that i previously had a root canal on looked at. Ultimately, I needed the root canal redone. These guys go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable. I've now gone here twice and both visits were very consistent. Very friendly staff, personable, they have chairs that massage your back, they always ask you what YOU want to listen to music wise and they always ask if you want water, juice, or warm blanket.. and at the end they give you warm towels to wipe your hands and face off with. Truly excellent place to have work done! I hope I never have to come back but if I do I know I am in GREAT hands.

First off, I want to say I am terrified of anything to do with Dentistry. I'm a 35 year old woman who clams up like a four-year-old child when thinking about having to go to anything to do with Dentistry. I am an extremely anxious person on top of the fear I experience with regards to this matter, which makes it even worse. However, when I walked in the front door of this place I almost instantly lost all fear. The office is clean, well decorated, had an extremely warm and inviting environment. More importantly, where the staff. From the front desk, to the actual doctor. Superb service! Also, The music selection was fantastic, 80s which is very much so a love of mine. This place has class, professionalism, even laughs during my root canal. I will never go to a different root endodontists again. Too bad they don't practice regular Dentistry!!! Thank you team- From Mrs. Stuart who visited the 18th!

Will preface this with the fact that in my 45 years on earth I have never been to a Dental appointment that was not my father acting as my tooth mechanic until recently (yes he is a dentist).. This whole new dental adventure has been a little nerve wracking. I can not have imagined that a root canal would ever be a pleasant experience. At Roots Endo it actually, in a strange way, kind of was!?! Even though my particular case may have been a bit more difficult than a lot of them, there was not a moment that I felt like the staff was rushing through it or didn't care about my comfort. First step in the door the office was very welcoming and calming. Many may not notice or even care but even before seeing the chair the crazy cool succulent plant on the waiting room table was my first clue and the cut vinyl records on the wall was my second clue that I was in good hands (I make records like that). I'll be the first to admit that I have terrible music taste and was pretty adamant that they did not have to subject themselves to it. The music choice thing was over the top cool. Never thought in a million years I'd have medical procedure done while listening to my beloved punk rock bands! The massaging chair, warm towel, and genuine conversation were also a nice touch :) All in all, if I ever need anything like this again there is no place I would rather go. Thank you Dr. Vora, thank you assistant, thank you reception (I didn't catch your names). You truly put me at ease and made a difficult procedure quite easy.

I had to go here as a referral from my normal dentist because I was having some pain near my jawline and my latest dental x-ray showed a spot at the root of my tooth near the same sore area. I had an infection at the bottom of my tooth that had a root canal done 40+ years ago and it needed to be redone with today's technology. From the minute I walked into the office, everyone was kind and happy. From the gal at the front desk all the way to the Endodontist. You sure can tell how the Endodontist treats his staff by the way they, in turn, treat the patients. These guys go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable. Can't say enough about how friendly and personable everyone was! :o) Excellent place to go when you need specialized care. :o)

Dr. Vora was highly recommended by my dentist. I had to be seen for an emergency root canal and they were able to see me the same day, even staying late to take care of me. While having a root canal is not fun, the doctor and staff did everything to make me feel comfortable and taken care of. The doctor did a very good job with my root canal and he and his staff were so kind and caring. I am so glad my dentist recommended him.

What a great place! Nobody wants to get a root canal but Dr. Vora and Jennifer made my experience so much fun! I felt no pain at all and we all jammed out to 90's pop music ( my personal request). I can't say I ever had so much fun at the dentist! Thank for a great experience!
