Dr. Ron Ray is a native of Northern Virginia. He received his B.S. in Biology from George Mason University in 1987 and graduated from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1991. After graduation, he spent 3 years in the U.S. Army, the first year in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry training program. After returning home, he worked for 2 years in Countryside before opening his Ashburn office in early 1997. Due to the support of the current patient base, he was able to expand into the Leesburg area in the Fall of 2001.
Dr. Ray understands the importance of staying current with the latest advances in Dentistry and has studied both locally and abroad to maintain and improve his skills and knowledge of Dentistry. As important as knowing the techniques is knowing the patient. Dr. Ray and all the doctors believe the patient needs information before a treatment decision can be reached. The doctors make recommendations, but the patients make decisions.
Dr. Sarah Ephraim moved to Virginia after completing her dental education at the University of New England College of Dental Medicine in Portland, Maine. She is originally from New Jersey, but northern Virginia has quickly become home.
Dr. Ephraim is dedicated to exploring current dental research to provide her patients with the best, comprehensive care. Dentistry is a passion for Dr. Ephraim, focusing on providing a comfortable experience for patients who are dedicated to improving their oral health and achieving their dream smile.

I've been coming to Dr. Rays for years now, and they never disappoint! Dr. Ray is very knowledgeable and professional, and his new Associate, Dr. Ephraim was great! Great bedside manner, and listened to my concerns patiently. Laurie does a fantastic job with my teeth cleanings. Overall, would recommend to anyone looking for top notch dentistry.

After a decade of neglect, I returned 2 months ago to address some pain I was feeling in a soon to be extracted tooth. The experience has been great. My oral health has improved quite a bit. The doctors who have helped me have done so without judgement and with great care.

We have been going to see Dr. Ray for years and have lately seen a progressive decline in the level of care and customer service, but we kept our business there because we liked Dr. Ray. However, today was just too much. I called to reschedule a cleaning appt. When I was told there would be a fee because I waited to within 24 hours of the appointment, I explained that I had been dealing with a death in the family, that my mother had passed away and I just could not miss any more work and that the time had just gotten away from me. There was no response of any compassion or willingness to make an exception because of my loss. I was just told that they would put a note in my file, but they had called 2 days ago, and I should have called back earlier. I will pay the cancellation fee, but in the process they did lose a very long term client.

Most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered. I'm sure they are providing their own reviews because if you do a little research you can see this is not a good place to get work done. I would never recommend this place. Not only were they rude to me, they refused to refund a senior whose insurance HAD PAID the bill. The amount was over $350 dollars. Instead they offered for her to have work done there for that amount. I've found another dentist, another customer switched due to the front staff, yet another will not return due to some additional fees, and the senior has also found another practitioner. Several others have complained. Check yelp and other sources. This is not only a rude and unprofessional practice, but after reading the reviews I'm suspecting they aren't as open minded regarding various races. I'd be afraid to have anyone here work on me. They have also charged several clients outrageous fees to cancel an appointment within a cancellation allowance period among other inexcusable business behavior. Think Twice. Do your research.

Not a fan...I have many things I wish to say, but I'll spare them out of being tacky. I will mirror however the other posts that their front staff is rude. The doctors are stellar and the hygienists too. My 1 star rating is enough said about the front office, the rest will go unsaid.
