Even those who brush their teeth three times a day and floss regularly need to see a dentist at least twice a year to ensure that tartar accumulation is removed and any potential problems are quickly diagnosed. People who are asymptomatic and pain-free may still suffer from gum disease or cavities, and early treatment is much easier and far more cost-effective.

Harrison Dental Group provides the services of a general dentist. General dentists are trained to treat a wide spectrum of oral health and cosmetic issues, including treatment for cavities, extractions, crowns, dental bridges, dentures, teeth whitening, smile makeover, and gum disease treatments. Drs. David and Keith Harrison have also been trained to provide dental implants and Invisalign orthodontic treatment.

Specialists like periodontists and oral surgeons typically provide a smaller range of highly specialized services. Harrison Dental Group works very closely with specialists in the area and refers patients to them when needed. Unless you have already identified exactly what your dental needs are, it is usually better to see a general dentist first.

Harrison Dental Group aims to make it affordable for you to see a dentist. We accept a number of insurance and financing plans and offer discounts for new patients. Because dental problems only get worse with time, it may be more difficult to afford not going to the dentist. If you are concerned about the affordability of dental care, please contact our office to discuss your insurance and financing options.

Your Invisalign trays will be nearly invisible to others due to their completely clear design using BPA-free plastic. This quality makes this treatment method highly desirable for many teen and adult patients. The aligners are so discreet, your close friends and family may not be able to tell you are receiving treatment.

Unlike traditional orthodontics, Invisalign offers an unparalleled level of comfort. Due to the use of smooth plastic, the aligner trays used for Invisalign treatment are much easier on the soft tissues of your mouth, especially when compared to the brackets and metal wires of traditional braces.

Invisalign aligners are removable when cleaning your teeth and eating, so there is no need to avoid sticky, crunchy, tough, or chewy foods. This allows you to brush and floss without any restrictions so you can maintain your oral health while working towards a more beautiful smile.

Once the doctors at Harrison Dental Group have created your treatment plan, we canprovide you with multiple sets of aligners. Unlike braces, which require frequent adjustments, this allows you to only have to visit our office once every six weeks so that our dentists can monitor the progress of your tooth movement.

After your Invisalign treatment is completed, you can begin to enjoy your new smile. With straight teeth and a healthy smile, many patients benefit from an improved sense of self-confidence and overall quality of life.

These diagnostic tools help us understand your smile and its needs while exposing you to the least amount of radiation possible. They also allow us to plan treatment more accurately and efficiently than ever before.

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that uses custom-made clear aligners to readjust your bite. In order to create your aligners, we will use digital scanning to take exceptionally precise impressions of your bite.

You will need to wear your trays 20 to 22 hours each day. About every two weeks, you will switch into a new set of aligners. Each set of trays is specially designed to gradually move your teeth into alignment.

When you reach your desired results, you will continue to wear your last aligner or a custom-made retainer every night. These orthodontic appliances prevent your teeth from shifting out of place and help you maintain your newly straightened smile.

A straighter smile can improve your oral health, but you will need to do your part by continuing to brush and floss regularly. You should also visit one of our Fort Wayne offices every six months so that our dentists can help you maintain a healthy smile for life.

Most people at this dental office are very nice but we had a VERY, VERY BAD experience with a hygienist today. I had a great hygienist but the one who tended to my children was very bad. It was an older lady with gray hair and I watched as she tried to tend to my 4 year old daughter. It all went down hill when the hygienist tried to pry my daughters mouth open instead of letting my 4 year old do it herself. If you know anything about children you do not force procedures on them. The hygienist then called my daughter a drama queen and said she should be able to cowboy up. She said most 4 year olds could handle this and than she bullied my child by telling her she would get no toy. I should have walked out at this point but I was just so uncomfortable and shocked. My 9 year old watched and told me when we left that he was very embarrassed and angry. This hygienist should be fired. She brings the business down and I am sure I am not the only one to complain about her.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DENTIST PRACTICE. My little sister recently went to this practice to have a few cavities filled and also a route canal surgery performed. She was told that this would be done in two separate apts and that the first one would just be the cavity fillings. Soon after the apt started, she voiced to the dentist assistant that she was experiencing serious pain during the cavity filling and the assistant didn't acknowledge her pain and she she shouldn't feel anything she was given the appropriate amount of numbing agent. Long story short, there was a miscommunication and the assistant was performing the route canal without the correct prep and numbing. She is now extremely traumatized and will likely be afraid of the dentist going forward indefinitely. The worst part about the entire experience was when I called in to complain about the terrible service, the front desk didn't even give me the time of day to listen to what I had to say. Terrible dentist practice. Stay away.

So if you want to know what it's like to go to the dentist in 1982 with no computers, go here. Seriously, it's really dated, he will actually hand you dental book from before they had screens to show you what and why he is doing everything, rather than pulling up x-rays onto a display. That made me question what was going on. The employees hate this guy too. Then he tells me he wants to remove all of my composite fillings and to replace them with metal fillings... comeon man! He told the same sales line to my wife too, we decided to go elsewhere because neither of us have had a dentist recommend pulling every filling for metal fillings. I'm so glad I didn't let him convince us to spend thousands for his benefit. Yes he is experienced and can perform work, but you can tell that old dog hasn't changed in 30 years. I felt sorry for his employees too, he was not nice to them at all.
