Dr. Romney began his studies at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Romney completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas.

After completing his general dentistry residency, Dr. Romney worked as a family and cosmetic dentist for five years. His time as a general dentist makes him uniquely qualified to manage difficult restorative and cosmetic treatments. After years in practice as a general dentist, Dr. Romney realized that his most rewarding days were spent treating children and decided to return for more schooling to specialize in pediatrics. Dr. Romney went on to receive a Master of Science Degree in Oral Biology at the University of Toledo and obtained his certificate in pediatric dentistry from the University of Toledo Medical Center.

Dr. Nelson Hui has always had a passion for science and art. While attending undergraduate school at Washington University in St. Louis, he discovered that dentistry combines both of these passions perfectly. After receiving his bachelors degree in Finance, Dr. Hui was offered the prestigious Deans Scholarship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine.

I went here when I was 11 (I'm 16), and have been too scared to go to another dental appointment since. I went to get one tooth extracted, but I left with seven taken out. He did not tell me or my mom how many he was actually taking out. When doing the procedure he took me to a dark room without my mom eventhough I asked for her to be there (I was already scared of the dentist before going), and he was very rude to me. He raised his voice, he was very impatient, and even when I said it hurt he wouldn't take a break. I'm writing this now because I've just remembered the name of this place. I would bet that they haven't changed based on some of the other 1 and 2 star reviews. I do not recommend taking your child here, it was a very traumatic experience for me.

Love the Staff! My 16month old had his second visit and first cleaning today and they were all great with him! I love that you're never rushed and given time to ask any questions. Highly recommend!

I have been taking my girls here for a few years now. I have never had a bad experience. The Dr is great and all of the staff are very kind, professional, and good at what they do. We have never had to wait long to be taken back and making an appointment is very easy as they are very accommodating. My girls even like going to the dentist!

My daughter was already an established patient just she had new insurance since our last visit and to be clear all of my 3 children were going here and only 2 had insurance change. They refused to see her even tho they just recently quit taking their new insurance and were only not taking new patients with the insurance. Well she isn't a new patient. But still refused. I use to think this was a good dentist until this. I mean it was just a check up she's an established patient. It is hard enough getting into the doctor or dentist or well anything of the sort at this point with covid, and now dentists want to make it even more so of a challenge for parents. Finding someone accepting new patients anywhere at this time is a challenge. Being a single parent and having a dentist that clearly has no compassion for their patients is even worse. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST! When my children had their first visit they blew my phone up for days prior to confirm. This dentist isn't worth the headache. Only saw the dentist for 2 seconds for a check up for each of my 3 kids. Dentist literally does nothing. Staff clearly doesn't have proper patient care just like the dentist. And clearly you guys don't care or value your patients enough to make things easier during this time of covid. It shows y'all are more all about the money and not about your patients. I will just make sure I let any and everyone know not to use you guys as a dentist. ALL THIS PLACE CARES ABOUT IS THE MONEY AND NOT AT ALL ABOUT YOUR CHILDREN. SAVE YOUR MONEY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE THAT ACTUALLY CARES!!!!

We just left this dentist and they are all about MONEY! Our first visit they said my child (6 years old) needed 3 cavities filled. We went and got one filled and then scheduled out next visit to get the other two filled. We went back for the other 2 cavities and they then mentioned after looking at the xrays, there was actually 5 cavities and they filled 2 cavities the first time and today was 3 cavities..weird they never told us they filled 2 the first time and now today is magically 3 (instead of 2). We will not be going back to this dentist and we posted in our neighborhood Facebook about this and within minutes, I had 10+ comments regarding the same type of issues of wanting more money for services. PLEASE LOOK ELSE WHERE!!

Excellent experience! I cannot recommend Dr. Romney and his staff more! Scheduling and paperwork was easy and straightforward; check-in was quick and the office is so inviting. My son loved the office and immediately felt at ease. Dr. Romney and his staff are professional, compassionate, and very patient. As the daughter of a dentist and someone who has worked in a dental office, I can say Dr. Romney is one of the best dentists I have seen. He was incredibly comprehensive, and offered thorough yet conservative treatment. My young son unfortunately had to have a crown and he didn't flinch once during the procedure. Dr. Romney was compassionate, friendly and very skilled. My son didn't even notice the injection and had no soreness or discomfort after the procedure. He is actually excited to go back! I wholeheartedly believe he treated us like family and highly recommend this office!

It was a tough appointment but I think Dr. Romney did as good as he could have given the seriousness of the situation. My 5yr old daughter was already in alot of pain and needed the extraction so I am grateful that it is resolved. I appreciate him calling to check on her afterwards also.

We love Dr Romney and Dr Nelson. My daughter had to have some cavities worked on and they made her feel so comfortable. From explaining everything they were doing to giving her two toys at the end. It was all in all a great experience.

Dr. Romney and his team are incredible. Their gentle and calm approach put both of our girls (and my husband and I) at ease. We've committed to drive an hour and a half each way to visit their office because they make us feel at home, safe, and heard every time we walk in the door.

I want to give a shout-out to Romney Pediatric Dentistry for how well they handled my son yesterday. My son Eddie is 12. He has what most would consider "high functioning" autism, meaning he can have a conversation (as long as it is about Pokemon), handle his own basic hygiene, dress himself, and follow routines, but he struggles to maintain eye contact, is very resistant to change, and camouflages his anxiety with angry outbursts. That second part is what we were dealing with yesterday when we showed up at Dr. Romney's office. We had to leave the pediatric dentist that we loved when we moved here, so I tried taking him to my dentist here in Flower Mound. It was rough. She's excellent, but Eddie just was super uncooperative and wouldn't let her do her job. So she actually recommended we take him to Dr. Romney, saying that he's excellent with kids on the spectrum and those with anxiety. Great advice! When we got to Dr. Romney's office, Eddie refused to get out of the car. He was huddled in the floorboard smacking himself in the head because he was simply afraid of going to a new place. I was finally able to get him out of the car and into the dentist's office, but he was sullen, angry, and just generally not nice. Despite his terrible attitude, all of the office staff and technicians were upbeat and friendly. Nobody forced him or held him down or anything like that. They did as much of their job as he would let them do, and when he wouldn't cooperate, it was no big deal. They put us in a private room instead of the open area with multiple chairs. Eddie was still very very anxious while we waited. But when Dr. Romney came in, he looked at Eddie and said, "Hi! My name's Nate. Well, it's Nathan, but most people call me Nate. What's your name?" Eddie responded begrudgingly, but then "Nate" sat down, showed Eddie all his tools, and let him feel the little air gun on his hand before he started. He told Eddie exactly what he was going to do before he did anything, so when he did start the exam, Eddie was calm and cooperative. Eddie let Dr. Romney finish and he let the hygienist clean his teeth without a fuss. He only got upset about the fluoride because it didn't taste very good. Let me be clear: even with our previous pediatric dentist who was "good" with him, we have never had a dentist visit go smoothly and not end in tears. Not until Dr. Romney. If you have a child with autism or anxiety or even just a fear of the dentist office, I highly recommend Dr. Romney. His office is right by Kroger in Bartonville.
