My philosophy is to learn as much as I can so that I give the best treatment to my patients. That means to be as conservative as I can be while preserving the health of my patients. This could mean a complete rehabilitation of the teeth to orthodontics or a simple reshaping of teeth to harmonize the bite. This Harmony or Balance is not only important to the bite but also is part of the patients whole health. Integrative Dental Health involves looking for the impact the body has on your teeth and all the structures of your head and neck. This includes airway, posture and structural integrity may have a direct effect on how the teeth come together and bite. If you have chipping or broken teeth, teeth that are occasionally sensitive, it may be your bite. Headaches can also be a symptom of your bite. Establishing this balance or harmony is a way to reset and calm your whole system.
Son of Italian immigrants, I grew up in the Bronx till the age of 9. We then moved to Bergen County New Jersey. I graduated from Bergen Catholic High School and went to Duquesne University where I met the love of my life, Maureen. I graduated from New Jersey Dental School ( Now Rutgers ) in 1987 and got married during my residency at Danbury Hospital in Danbury Connecticut. We have 3 beautiful sons that are living on their own, leaving Maureen and I as empty nesters.
I worked as an associate in an office in Somerville, NJ from 1988 to 1992. In January of 1992, I started my practice here in Hackensack. I am often asked when dd I want to become a dentist? The answer is when I was eight. As a child, every 2 to 3 years, My mom, brother and I would go to Italy to spend the summer at NONNAs House in Italy. It was a great experience as a child, especially since the cultures were so different back then. There was no running water so you had a manual lever handled pump outside for water and you had to use the outhouse. ( I remember my mom yelled at me for washing my hair under the pump. She said the water was too cold and I could get pneumonia, even though it was 85 degrees outside) My uncle owned a dental lab nearby and that summer, I visited the lab and was fascinated at all the different models and gadgets. Dentistry is a constantly evolving field, rapidly changing with more research and technology changing not only the way we see things but the way we think about how our bodies work. What makes dentistry so exciting to me is that you are always rethinking and challenging yourself to be and do better. That is why I am a lifelong learner. You can never be bored! Its amazing to think how differently I practice now as compared to six or seven years ago. As one of my mentors would say, You dont Know what you dont know and You cant see what you dont know.It is so important to continue your education. As a way of giving back, teaching at Neark Beth Isreal Hospitals General Practice Residency program has been a blessing to me. Not only do I get to teach and influence the younger minds in our profession, but I get to interact with many of my colleagues on an academic level, from which I learn from as well.

Everything about this office is perfect! The office is very clean and everyone is very friendly. I've grown to hate the dentist due to my previous experiences. I always left the dentist with cuts in my mouth and the taste of blood, due to roughness. At Dr.C's office, I got a GOOD thorough cleaning without leaving the dentist with the taste of blood in my mouth and never wanting to go back. If you are looking for a new dentist like I was, here is where you NEED to go! See you guys soon. :)

Dr. C should be ashamed of himself. If he did not know how to administer an Invisalign, he should have directed me to an orthodontist. Instead, he gave me only one tray for a total of 6 months. My teeth stayed exactly the same and he charged me $6000 and when I told him I was not happy with my results, he became defensive and rude and never tried to make this right. I was robbed! This was confirmed by an actual orthodontist when I had to go and pay yet again for another Invisalign. If he did not care to fix his mistake, he should have at least refunded some of my money. What about morals, character, ethics? He simply ripped me off.

Dr. Cibischino is fabulous! He takes so much time with me and pays attention to every detail of my dental concerns. I have been going to him for months for regular dental care and to help with my excessive teeth grinding. He made me an appliance to wear at night and it has been life changing! No more headaches! I now bring both of my daughters and recommended a colleague to the practice as well. All are very pleased with the care. His staff is wonderful as well! Highly recommend.

The best dentist EVER! I have been a patient of Dr. Cibischino's for 13 years and I actually look forward to my visits. The entire staff is personable and make you feel as though you are family. Dr. C keeps up to date with all the new "stuff" for optimal dental health. Dr. C balanced my bite so that I did not feel anymore pain in my jaw. Dr. C is excellent at explaining any work that he will perform on your teeth. He is also a great listener to complaints and issues you're having. Make an appointment with Dr. C. You will not be disappointed.

If you want to throw your money away this is the place to do it. Yes I'm scared of dentists but sadly he is no better. They robbed me of $400 for a consultation and cleaning(they wanted to charge me 1,100) I had a valid insurance card and they refused to run it. Been waiting for answers now for almost six weeks but nothing. The only thing they were concerned about was to write a review of them so here is what you wanted

I've been seeing Dr. Cibischino for over a year and it's been a great experience. His staff is very nice and always a pleasure to speak with. His office is equipped with high-tech equipment and he's been able to find decay quickly compared to other dentist offices I've gone to in the past.

As a Research professional I spent quite a bit of time to find a new dental practice after 23 yrs. the same practice. Dr. C, as he's know by his patients, was highly recommended in the Hackensack area. It's been about five years now since I became a patient, and I couldn't be happier. The team here are professional, while at the same time make you feel as if you are their only patient during your visit. Dr. C is very patient and explains every procedure thoroughly (I ask a lot of questions). Trish, the dental hygienist is amazing. Her years of experience come through in her proficiency. Angela at the front desk is always very friendly and very knowledgeable in processing claims pre and post procedures.
