Dr. Kevin Toms grew up in central Virginia. As a young teenager, having braces appealed to his mechanical interests. Watching the changes that occurred during his own treatment inspired himlater to pursue a career in dentistry and eventually orthodontics.
Dr. Toms graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science in health sciences. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the School of Dentistry, Medical College of Virginia, at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. After dental school, he completed a two-year general practice residency at McGuire Veterans Administration Medical Centerin Richmond, VA. He feels that taking care of the dental needs of our countrys military veterans was one of the most rewarding experiences in his career.
For the next two years, Dr. Toms worked as a general dentist in the Northern Virginia area before continuing his education in the field of orthodontics, his ultimate career goal. He and his family moved to Brooklyn, New York, so he could complete a three-year orthodontics residency program at Maimonides Medical Center.
Dr. Toms and his wife Michelle met while they were both in dental school at Virginia Commonwealth University. They have fourchildren. The Toms family is happy to call theNorthern Virginia area home. Dr. Toms lovesto servethe community, and createbeautiful, healthy smiles for his patients.

Dr. Rodney Klima graduated from William and Mary with a Bachelor of Sciencein chemistry. He completed both his Doctor of Dental Surgery and his orthodontic residency at the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Dentistry in Richmond.
Before opening his private practice in Burke, Virginia, Dr. Klima served as an orthodontist in the military.When he returned to Virginia, he was a civilian consultant to the cleft palate team at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is a member of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association.
Dr. Klima keeps current with the changes and new techniques in orthodontic treatment by attending continuing education courses every year. Using accurate diagnostic records, he offers the plan of treatment that best addresses each patients orthodontic need and the concerns of the family and the patient.
Dr. Klima is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Southern Association of Orthodontists, andVirginia Dental Association.
