Dr. Kevin Toms grew up in central Virginia. As a young teenager, having braces appealed to his mechanical interests. Watching the changes that occurred during his own treatment inspired himlater to pursue a career in dentistry and eventually orthodontics.
Dr. Toms graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science in health sciences. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the School of Dentistry, Medical College of Virginia, at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. After dental school, he completed a two-year general practice residency at McGuire Veterans Administration Medical Centerin Richmond, VA. He feels that taking care of the dental needs of our countrys military veterans was one of the most rewarding experiences in his career.
For the next two years, Dr. Toms worked as a general dentist in the Northern Virginia area before continuing his education in the field of orthodontics, his ultimate career goal. He and his family moved to Brooklyn, New York, so he could complete a three-year orthodontics residency program at Maimonides Medical Center.
Dr. Toms and his wife Michelle met while they were both in dental school at Virginia Commonwealth University. They have fourchildren. The Toms family is happy to call theNorthern Virginia area home. Dr. Toms lovesto servethe community, and createbeautiful, healthy smiles for his patients.

Dr. Rodney Klima graduated from William and Mary with a Bachelor of Sciencein chemistry. He completed both his Doctor of Dental Surgery and his orthodontic residency at the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Dentistry in Richmond.
Before opening his private practice in Burke, Virginia, Dr. Klima served as an orthodontist in the military.When he returned to Virginia, he was a civilian consultant to the cleft palate team at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is a member of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association.
Dr. Klima keeps current with the changes and new techniques in orthodontic treatment by attending continuing education courses every year. Using accurate diagnostic records, he offers the plan of treatment that best addresses each patients orthodontic need and the concerns of the family and the patient.
Dr. Klima is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Southern Association of Orthodontists, andVirginia Dental Association.
For many years, Dr. Klima has been chosen by his colleagues and peers in dentistry as one of the best orthodontists in Northern Virginia, as reported in Washingtonian magazine, Northern Virginia magazine, Virginia Living magazine, and Consumers Checkbook magazine.

Really great office all around. I got Invisalign there and my son is getting braces The receptionist is friendly, the technicians have great bedside manners and Dr. Klima and Toms are great--very knowledge and experienced. The scheduler went out of her way and even moved her own son's appointment to fit us in! Nice family oriented atmosphere.

Great practice, easy to get to and Klima in particular is fantastic. All the staff from front desk to scheduling are very good. Professional, clean and organized practice. The only reason it isn't 5 stars is the invisalign can be a bit pricey, and one of the dental assistants is harsh.

Excellent practice, Dr. Toms and Dr.Klima are the two best doctors I've ever had. They truly care about their patients and the success of the treatment. I would highly recommend them ,especially to those needing adult orthodontic work. My adult braces journey has been challenging but the work of Dr. Tom's and Dr. Klima has been amazing so far , I can't wait for the final results!

My son has Invisalign through Klima and he has been sticking with it. When he has issues- he calls them to ask questions or set up an appointment to fix the issue. Very easy to communicate with.
