Dr. Elikofer grew up in Evansville, Indiana, where his family enjoyed the outdoors as much as the seasons would allow. They primarily enjoyed boating on the Ohio River and camping at the Land Between the Lakes in western Kentucky on the weekends.
Dr. Elikofer excelled in academic studies but also enjoyed 3D ceramic art in high school. As he pursued his post-secondary medical education, he found that dentistry was the perfect mix of art and medicine. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry and took a position with a traveling oral surgery team. Dr. Elikofer primarily focused his care on the treatment of hurting teeth that need to be removed or removal of teeth that patients wanted replaced with dental implants. These procedures always gave Dr. Elikofer the satisfaction of making huge impacts in a short amount of time. In 2018, Dr. Elikofer moved to Tampa, Florida, where he would study dental sleep medicine. Dental sleep medicine is the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea and snoring with the use of mandibular advancement devices. These devices assist to stabilize the airway at nighttime while we are sleeping. Dr. Elikofer joined Dr. Holcombe in January of 2022 and looks forward to finally serving the community in which a majority of his family resides.
