A native of Virginia Beach, Dr. Rodney Alejandro attended the College of William & Mary, and graduatedin 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. He continued atVirginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry (formerly the Medical College of Virginia), where he was honored to receive one of the few dental scholarships offered by the U.S. Navy.
After earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1992, he was commissioned as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps and practiced dentistry while caring forthe U.S. Marines. After fulfilling his commitment from active duty, Dr. Alejandro continued to serve as a Navy Reservist until 1998. He has been in private practice since 1995.
Dr. Alejandro commits significant amounts of his personal time to continuing education and bringing the latest and best for his patients. He attends relevant, timely seminars and hands-on classes and regularly reads several trade journals.
Dr. Alejandro is a graduate of advanced studies at the prestigious Kois Center, where he completed thecomprehensive, nine-course curriculum involving aesthetic, occlusion, and restorative dentistry. He continuesadvanced studiesatSpear Education in Arizona and attends monthly study club meetings with local member dentists.Dental treatments, materials, techniques, and equipment constantly evolve, and he is committed to staying current on best practices.
Since he believesin the power of information and community involvement, Dr. Alejandro is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
When hes not caring for patients, Dr. Alejandro spends his time with his wife and two children. The family enjoys traveling, skiing, and taking pleasure in good food with friends and family. Both his children are avid tennis players who compete in USTA Junior Tournaments and Junior Team Tennis, so a significant number of his weekends are spent on the road being their biggest booster. Dr. Alejandro also enjoys keeping fit and healthy.

Ive been married to my husband Scott for 30 years. We are a retired Air Force family. Our two children, Tara and Kyle, are both grown and have families of their own. In my free time, I love a great book and going to the beach!
With more than 30 years of experience as a dental hygienist, my patients can trust that the care I provide is as gentle as it is effective. I am so passionate about oral health that I am also an instructor of dental hygiene at Northern Virginia Community College. I enjoy getting to know each of my patients beyond just their dental needs, and I treat my patients in the way I want to be treated, both dentally and personally. The results are happy patients with beautiful and healthy smiles for life!
I have been happily married for 26 years and have two wonderful sons. I spend my free time watching my boys play soccer whenever possible and getting outside to walk my Boxer dogs preferably on the beach!
A native of El Salvador, I came to the United States in 1989 and joined Dr. Alejandros team in 2004. I enjoy welcoming patients into our office and making sure they are comfortable from start to finish. Working in the healthcare field is very rewarding, and I love the relationships Ive made with our patients and my team.
I have been a dental assistant since 2005 and love assisting in the creation of beautiful smiles! Each day, I can be found assisting Dr. Alejandro with patient care and performing duties in the laboratory and office.
