Dr. Garcia was born in New Mexico. He was on the Deans Honor roll while attending the University of New Mexico, where he majored in biology and minored in chemistry. Dr. Garcia attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston one of the top 5 dental schools in the nation.
While attending Tufts, Dr. Garcia received a National Health Service Corp scholarship and treated children at a public health facility for 4 years. Dr. Garcia graduated 18th of 163 students in 1983. From 1985 to 1987, Dr. Garcia received orthodontic training through the United States Dental Institute.Since 1983, Dr. Garcia has provided comprehensive family and cosmetic dentistry to families from all over New Mexico and even from outside the state.
Dr. Garcia has received extensive training in implant, reconstructive and cosmetic dentistry. His patients have traveled nationally and internationally, including Switzerland, Japan, Yugoslavia, Spain and Canada, seeking his expertise and high level of treatment. His focus of practice is cosmetic, reconstructive and family dentistry.
Dr. Garcia is married with 3 children and 2 grandchildren. He enjoys sports, cars, fishing, skiing, art and music. He believes strongly in providing help to those in need and donates dental treatment to the homeless at Joy Junction of Albuquerque.
My name is Jo Ann. Ive been in Dentistry for 34 years. I was a Dental assistant for 15 years and managed several Dental offices. I really enjoy meeting new people. The people we see and treat are not just patients to me, I get to know them and they not only become my friend, they become part of my family. I have a compassion for patients who are fearful of the Dentist and I do my best to help them overcome their fears. I love all aspects of Dentistry. Im very knowledgeable with all types of procedures, as well as insurances and financing options. Since working with Dr. Garcia Ive learned even more and love that he is a perfectionist, because that is important to me. I look forward to meeting you in our office. Outside of the office I focus on my faith, family and grandkids. I enjoy spending quality time with my grandchildren along with a weekly Bible Study.
Shawna is our registered dental hygienist with a license to perform local anesthesia and has a great passion for her work. She specializes in patient education and periodontal disease. Her engaging personality and gentle touch has gained her a trusting reputation with our patients. Shawna is dedicated to provide exceptional oral healthcare by providing each patient with an individual treatment plan. This plan will assist to meet the needs and desires of each of our patients. We are so happy to have her on our team. When not at work, Shawna loves spending time with her husband and daughter.
Hi My name is Endi, I've been a dental assistant for 15 years, I enjoy helping patients, and to see them smile it's very rewarding. I have 3 amazing sons that I spend my time with. We like to go to the park, hiking, camping, bike riding. I also have 2 German Shepards, that I train and take out with me and my sons. We also like to travel and see new things.
