Dr. Rod Gleave grew up spending time in both California and Utah. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1986. He then entered the College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina and earned his DMD in 1990. He held a general practice residency in Loma Linda, CA, before setting up his present private practice in Salt Lake City, UT.
Dr. Gleave believes that in order to provide the best care he can for his patients, continuing education is crucial. Thats why he continues to study and explore the field of dentistry. He has attended thousands of hours of continuing education courses. Most recently, his studies have covered dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, snoring and sleep apnea treatments, laser dentistry, sedation dentistry, and TMD pain and bite problems.
He was awarded a fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and also is a graduate of the Misch Implant Institute. Carl Misch, the institute founder, is recognized as the top educator for dental implants in the country. Dr. Gleave is also a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) and is the only dentist in Salt Lake to hold an LVI fellowship. He is also certified to useHybridge solutions, which are designed to minimize the cost and complexity of implant procedures.
Dr. Gleave spends his free time coaching youth baseball and basketball. He enjoys many sports and loves to be outdoors. The father of six children, he recently had the pleasure of becoming a grandfather.
Dr. Gleave is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID). Throughout the year, he volunteers his time and dental expertise to the ADAs Give Kids A Smile program, which provides dental services for children who do not have access to quality dental care. He also volunteers for the AACDs Give Back a Smile program, which helps restore smiles for battered women.

When she is away from the office, she likes to garden, camp in beautiful Utah, cheer for the Atlanta Braves, and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren!
Penni has been improving the world of dentistry for over 30 years. She greatly enjoys meeting, greeting, and caring for the patients who visit our office. Penni feels great pride to work for Dr. Gleave. His reputation is second-to-none, and our patients love him! The team in our office is another favorite part of Pennis job. When she isnt busy helping patients have a fantastic experience, Penni enjoys marking things off her bucket list.
Brenda has been working with us since 1999 as a chairside assistant. She has a very gentle and caring nature and loves helping others. Whether its getting someone out of pain, improving their smile or helping them chew better, improving the health and quality of our patients lives is important to her. In her free time she loves to hike and ski the beautiful Utah mountains and spending time with family.
Fawn has been in the dental field for over 15 years as a dental assistant and loves working in dentistry. No two days are the same and every patient has different needs. She loves the variety of care and making a difference in the lives of others. Crafting, camping, NASCAR and spending time with her family are just a few of the things Fawn enjoys in her free time.
Clarice has worked in dentistry for 6 years. Her favorite thing about working in a dental office is meeting the patients and building a friendly relationship with them. In her spare time she enjoys reading, studying ancient cultures, painting, drawing, traveling and spending time with family.
Teresa has over 30 years of experience and loves being a dental hygienist. She feels its very rewarding to help patients keep and maintain their teeth as part of their overall health. She has extensive training in and both the art and science of dental hygiene and is trained in laser periodontal therapy. We feel fortunate to have Teresa on our team and our patients lover her concern for their health. In her spare time Teresa loves hot yoga, hiking with her dog Kaia, and spending time with her family.

Chipped a veneer on a Saturday. Dr. Gleave saw me right away and got a temporary on in 30 min. Totally saved me from an agonizing weekend and I feel super grateful.

Had a bad molar they got me in right away and went over options after making sure to numb me and subside the pain. Extraction was fast and went smooth. Dr gleave and his staff were very patient and tentative to making sure I was taken care of. Will recommend to anyone I know

I just read the previous review from a dissatisfied patient and I am flummoxed, I'm not sure what that word means either but I'm quite sure it does fit and I just had to use it in a sentence sometime in my life. What planet is she from? Allow me to elaborate: Several months ago I broke off a tooth. A frontal tooth. I realized that the years of neglect had finally taken their toll. I had no more reasons to avoid the dentist, actually I felt some relief because the inevitable had arrived. I thought about buying a hockey a hockey stick and taking it everywhere I went..... or find a dentist. I picked the dentist. Perhaps you have noticed that the Sunday newspaper carries three or four advertisements every issue. Grandpa's, clear choice etc. and the really good news (or so I thought) was the entire procedure took one day...over and done in a day. Then I read the reviews. Horror stories. Back to the internet. As I started to read the reviews for Rod Cleave I started to believe I might be onto something a little different. Read more. Then I filled out the mini-form and hit "send". Lori called me within hours and we set up an appointment. No going back now. First day was mostly an evaluation and estimates of the damage and setting up more appointments. I mentioned that I had to travel the following week to Sacramento but I would be OK with the missing tooth until I returned. When Rod heard me say this he asked Dawn to make room for me right then and there in his office. Now this man is booked full so he really didn't have to do this. Not many dentist would have, And he said: We can't send you to a meeting with a tooth missing. He put in a temporary and I was out the door. Wow was my thoughts. He just met me and he actually cares about me. Subsequent visits have proven this over and over. It has literally changed my life. I cannot put this into words. I'm about finished and I can't believe how different I look and feel and think. The staff there, and the Dr. are great. I was thinking that there is someone who is"the best" dentist in Utah, I know who it is. The staff deserves mention also. Dawn, Lori, Jackie and Jessica....total professionals and the best staff in Utah. I want my Granddaughter to go there when she's older (Forget that other Grandpa). It's a clear choice to me. The Staff is great and Rod is the best. Period. As for what I think about the woman who is so unhappy: With apologies to President Lincoln: "You can please some of the people all of the time. All of the people some of the time and no chance on earth of pleasing one or two any time ever." and just for fun, let me close with this, with apologies to a scripture I heard once...The Rod and thy Staff, they comfort me". Now you know...Quit looking. Make the call...You'll be writing one of these in a few weeks.

I have had nothing but the best experience with Dr Gleave and his staff. Every time I have had an appointment or an emergency they have been there as true professionals.
