Our team at Rocky Mountain Dental Arts is dedicated to serving our patients of Northern Colorado and the surround areas with the highest quality comprehensive dental care. Dr. Alexandra Blomquist took over Dr. David Pitts private practice upon his retirement in 2019 and is excited to carry on the long standing tradition of his practice in the community. Having grown up in Loveland, Dr. Blomquist is thrilled to be back in her hometown and serving the Northern Colorado community.
We are a full service dental practice and offer everything from regular hygiene visits to oral surgery procedures. Our team is dedicated to continuing education and we aim to provide the finest patient care utilizing the latest techniques, materials and technologies.
Dr. Blomquist grew up in Loveland and is excited to be practicing dentistry back in her hometown. She strives to provide the highest quality comprehensive dental care in a compassionate and welcoming environment. There is not a part of dentistry she does not enjoy! Dr. Blomquist completed both her undergraduate and dental training at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. While at Creighton, she spent time serving patients both at the dental school and in the community through dental and non-dental volunteering. After dental school, she pursued a residency at The University of California San Francisco, where she received extensive training in treating patients diagnosed with head and neck cancer, special needs patients, oral medicine, oral facial pain, sleep medicine, dental and facial trauma, and oral surgery.
Amy has lived in Fort Collins for 18 years, after graduating from college in Texas and growing up in Oklahoma. She loves the outdoors especially running early in the mornings and hiking in the mountains. Volunteering at church and in various community organizations is important to Amy, as is spending time with her four kids and their many activities. Amy has been a dental hygienist for 20+ years. The best part of this job, for Amy, is meeting new people, building relationships with patients, and teaching them about the importance of oral health.
Monica is a Colorado native and graduated from Colorado State University before joining the dental industry and its specialties. Today, she has been working in dentistry for 14 years giving her the experience and knowledge to be a valuable advocate for our patients. She truly loves interacting with patients, not only about their dental needs, but about their personal stories as well. Monica loves staying active in the outdoors with her two fur babies, Abbey a Jack Russell Terrier and Tulo a Miniature Pincher. You will also find her traveling and trying new adventurous experiences.

Outstanding dentist and very personable. Is genuinely concerned about changes in my bite. Also is monitoring bone loss very closely. I appreciate her attention to detail.

My elderly mom loved dr Blomquist and said she got the best cleaning and check up she's ever had! Dr Blomquist did the cleaning herself and explained everything as she went. I appreciate the time the staff took with my 90 yr old mom.

RMDA is a small & very personable operation who get to know their patients. The cleanings we had were the most thorough we've ever received. We were clearly informed of everything that was being done each step along the way. The images of our teeth were reviewed in detail so we could understand what to watch for in the future and potential problem areas. Overall, an excellent practice I can sincerely recommend!

Dr. Blomquist was on vacation and still gave me a call to see how my teeth was doing went above and beyond what anyone should do always so helpful and kind would never do anything that is unnecessary can't ask for a better dentist in the world

On my initial visit to this office, I was quickly processed as a new patient with reasonable paperwork, and then taken to a comfy chair by Amy, my hygienist. Amy listened to any of my concerns and asked lots of questions regarding my teeth, health, and prior dentistry experiences. She took a new set of images (I was due) and then proceeded with the cleaning and evaluation quickly, but thoroughly. Dr Blomquist came in shortly thereafter and introduced herself. The doc and the hygienist went over the prior observations and did another once over. We discussed how I can better care for my teeth, and then we discussed any additional goals I had for my teeth (cosmetic). The visit seemed fairly short, and I felt very comfortable in this office's care. I'm a fan of such succinct actions with regard to office visits.

Dr Mantis and Catherine did such a wonderful job and were so unbelievably kind. I hadn't been to a dentist in a couple years and was nervous to go in, but having two people who genuinely enjoy their job and care about the work they do made it a great experience. Can't wait to show off my clean sparkly teeth to people now (;
