Dr. Bart Miller, aka Dr. Bart, has an extensive educational background and experience in helping patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles. He is a residency-trained specialist in orthodontics anda member of the American Association of Orthodontists.
Born and raised in Rockwall, Dr. Bart graduated from Rockwall High School in 1986. After attending Rice University on an ROTC scholarship, Dr. Bart graduated and was commissioned in the U.S. Navy as Surface Warfare Officer. Accepted into the Naval Nuclear Propulsion program, he served on board the guided-missile cruiser, USS Truxtun, stationed in Washington state. Following his service, he went to dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, graduating with honors. his orthodontic residency at Baylor College of Dentistry.
After deciding that I didnt want to make a career in the Navy, I had to decide what I wanted to do. I considered a number of different fields and talked to a lot of people, but none of them seemed particularly excited about what they did. My dad was an orthodontist, and I realized that he LOVED what he did. As I kept exploring my options, it began to look more and more appealing to me.
Dr. Bart joined his father in practice in 2001 and has loved every minute of it! Getting to know patients and their families, while helping them achieve their goal of a great smile has been very rewarding.

General dentists have broad training but there are some procedures that are beyond their expertise. Teeth straightening is a precise art. Excellent results require exceptional training. For orthodontists such as Dr. Miller, completing up to five years of graduate-level training in dental school is just the beginning. After that, Dr. Miller undertook more than two additional years of specialty training in an intensive residency program. This empowered him with advanced knowledge and skills to manage tooth movement that non-specialists simply dont have. Only a fraction of dentists complete the rigorous requirements to become orthodontists.
We provide expert-led orthodontic care in a truly unique atmosphere. In fact, its the reason our motto is Get on Board for a Beautiful Smile. Our Rockwall office is actually a renovated 1925 train station thats been designated as a historic landmark. Its a fully equipped facility, but it still has the look and feel of a train station. You wont get that impersonal clinical feeling here. Our lobby and even our treatment rooms are decorated with vintage memorabilia that speaks to the areas history and tradition. I'm not sure really where to begin with my review of the care my daughters have received at Dr. Miller's office. If I had to summarize it in one word, I'd choose, exemplary. Our girls have been so well cared for and loved on in the years we've been going to see Dr. Miller and his staff. The professionalism is top-notch. The gentleness and patience of all the staff is unparalleled. We feel listened to when we have concerns and we always feel included and consulted before any service. Scheduling is easy, communication is prompt, and we've always been able to get the girls in to be seen quickly for issues. Payment is laid out in easy to understand terms. Braces and expanders can be a nerve wracking procedure, especially for our youngest daughter, and the way they've carefully navigated this journey for us all, has been a dream. We are truly blessed to have found this practice and we feel at home when we visit the office. Thank you for everything you do for our family. We are extremely grateful. Love, The Brown family.
