Dr. Carmichael was born and raised in Parma, Ohio and graduated from Normandy High School. He graduated from The Ohio State University with degrees in Microbiology and Virology before attending The Ohio State Dental School, where he received his Doctorate in Dentistry in 1984. Shortly after graduation he joined Rockside Family Dental and has been in practice here since 1984. He enjoys the variety that a family dental practice provides and especially enjoys helping dental phobic patients.
Dr. Carmichael has studied at the renowned Las Vegas Institute for advanced dental cosmetic procedures as well as neuromuscular treatment of TMJ pain and implant dentistry. Dr. Carmichael also treats patients who have problems with snoring and sleep apnea.
Dr. William Brosky was born and raised in Ashtabula, Ohio where he graduated from Saint John High School in 1974. He earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Chemistry from John Carroll University and continued his education at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, graduating in 1981. Dr. Brosky and his wife, Gretchen, married in 1982 and have three children, Nicholas, Griffin, and Colby. Dr. Brosky joined Rockside Family Dental Care in 1990.
Dr. Brosky has studied at The Las Vegas Institute and most recently at The Center for Occlusal Studies. His clinical emphasis is now on orthodontics, offering both early intervention treatment for children and adult care. He earned Premier Preferred Provider status with Invisalign in 2014. He is a most dedicated Buckeyes fan, enjoys all sports, reading and is an avid golfer.
Dr. Paul Russ was born and raised in Cleveland Heights, OH. He graduated from Clevelands St. Ignatius High School in 1994. He was accepted into OSU Dental School prior to graduation while studying Biology at Ohio State University. In 2003 Dr. Russ graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology and a Doctorate in Dentistry from The Ohio State University. Dr. Russ practiced in Akron, prior to coming to Rockside Family Dental Care in 2007.
As a General Dentist, Dr. Russ enjoys all aspects of dentistry. Dr. Russ is one of the few general dentists in the area that are qualified in placing dental implants & other surgical procedures. Allowing most of our patients the comfort of staying at their dental home for these procedures is something that he is proud of.
Dr. Russ now lives in Broadview Heights with his wife and five children. He enjoys spending time with his family and working on his home and yard. Dr. Russ is a Buckeye and Cleveland sports fan. He also enjoys the art of Bonsai.
His passion for dentistry developed during his attendance at Case Western Reserve University of Dental Medicine. Dr. Jeran spent several years practicing dentistry elsewhere in Ohio before making the move to Rockside Family Dental Care.
Although Dr. Jeran enjoys all aspects of dentistry, we are especially happy to have him as part of our team for his forte in Endodontics. This has allowed most of our patients to remain in the comfort of their dental home for some of the more complicated root canal procedures. Dr. Jeran is also a certified Invisalign provider.
Dr. Jeran still resides in Mentor with his wife Sarah and his dog, Moose. In his free time, he is an avid golfer. He loves traveling to new courses with his friends and just enjoying the daywhich he admits is much more enjoyable if he is playing well. He is also a dedicated Cleveland sports fan with his favorite team being the Browns. even though it can be painful to watch at times. Self-proclaimed foodie. Want to know the best places to eat from gastropubs to fine dining, he has recommendations.
Dr. Barber was born in Taiwan and as a child moved to Canada where he grew up. As a young adult, he moved to The United States to attend college. Dr. Barber studied at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated with honors. He currently has dual citizenship (Canada/US). Dr. Barber currently resides in Cleveland Heights with his rescue dog named Skye.
When not working, Dr. Barber is an avid outdoorsman and loves to pick up new hobbies. He enjoys playing and watching hockey, hiking, rock climbing, and visiting museums. He also spends time cooking. When he gets the opportunity he loves to travel abroad. He frequently volunteers, providing dental services to low-income families, to Native-American communities, and even abroad.
Dr. Gibson comes from the small town of Coshocton, Ohio. She loves being from a small town, and is excited to become a part of the Independence community! She attended college at Indiana University, Bloomington, where she studied Biology. During her time at Indiana, she was on the club tennis team, studied abroad in Italy, and graduated with Honors of Highest Distinction.
Dr. Gibson went on to earn her Doctorate in Dentistry from the Ohio State University. After graduation, she completed a residency program in Youngstown, Ohio at St. Elizabeths Hospital gaining additional experience with a wide range of surgical procedures and root canal therapy. She is passionate about helping her patients receive the best treatment for their individual needs.
Outside of the dental office, Dr. Gibson loves playing tennis, spending time with family, and exploring the Cleveland Metroparks. She looks forward to getting to know you and your family in the future!

Been going to this dental office for over 8 years and never had a bad experience. All the hygienist are great and do there job very well. I've seen 4 of the dentist there and they all are great. Everyone from the front desk and beyond are the best! No complaints at all for Rockside Family Dental!!

Rockside takes care of all my dental needs. EFDA Sara is accurate and always a joy to work with and my hygienist Diana was very thorough and informative. Definitely g the be place to go for your dental needs!

This is a long established dental practice that has the latest technology, a great team of dentists, assistants, hygienists, and front desk staff. They genuinely care about you as a person and your comfort. It feels like family. I've been going there for 48 years for cleanings and more involved dental work. Highly recommended !

I'm from Colorado and was working in Ohio for a few weeks. I had to get a couple teeth pulled in an emergency capacity and they set an appointment with me on short notice and completely took care of me. Could not recommend this Dental Office more.

I have never been to a better practice! Dr. Jason was absolutely amazing, and his assistants are knowledgeable, accurate, professional, friendly and wonderful. I had an appointment for cleaning as a first time patient, and then done repair/fillings. The assistants talked me through both of the entire visits. After countless other practices I finally found the best one! Thank you all so much!

The quality of care has exceeded all my expectations for coming here for our dental care. Dr. Carmichael is an exceptional dentist that has so much experience in all avenues in his field including TMJ & sleep apnea. He is extremely knowledgable and is very patient and kind. He really cares about doing the best for his patients. His communication is outstanding with all that may be involved with your care including the patient themselves. He is very conscientious to get back to you and to be sure all is taken care of no matter what time it may be. Very dedicated and outstanding dentist! He was able to get me to the correct specialist to get my implant in and finish up my final tooth/cap after many many years of no one else being able to do and evaluate properly. If there is a way, it will be figured out! Dr. Russ also had some input to the specialist, both worked together to help in my care and I am very grateful for both of them...along with Dr. Morgan being able to finally get the implant in itself! My bite hasn't felt complete like this in years and I am forever grateful for them and this wonderful office. Dr. Carmichael's assistant Liz is also very gentle and kind and does a great job assisting Dr. Carmichael. All I have to say is Rockside Family Dental has a high quality of service, friendly staff, very nice and accommodating front desk that has been pleasant to work with. Great job guys! Keep up the great work!
