Dr. Lindsey Koida received her DDS degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 2006 and completed her residency in General Dentistry at UOP, bringing her back to the Bay Area. She completed her undergraduate schooling at UC San Diego, graduating with both a BS in Biology and a BA in Psychology.
Dr. Koida has been practicing dentistry since 2006, and has been working in Rockridge alongside Dr. Burg since 2007. She is happy to be serving this great community. Dr. Koida has a conservative approach to dentistry, and is focused on preventive care and overall long-term health. Her main goal is to provide the best care possible for her patients with a common sense attitude and a sense of humor.
Dr. Koida grew up in the Bay Area, was raised in the small town of Sonoma and attended school in Napa. Dr. Koida is passionate about volunteering & serving her community. Dr. Koida went on a volunteer dental trip to Cambodia in 2015, providing aid to underserved communities without access to quality dental & medical care. Her hobbies include traveling as much as possible, trying new local restaurants, and spending time with family & friends. Dr. Koida lives in Oakland with her husband Randall, and they hope to adopt a dog soon.
Dr. Burg was born in Oakland and grew up in Castro Valley, where he andhis wife, Sue, presentlyreside. He attended Chabot Community College inHayward and the University of California at Berkeley. He spent two summers at the University of California at Los Angeles doing dental research.Dr. Burg graduated from the University of the Pacific Dental School in 1973.
He has practiced in Oakland for 44 years. In August of 1969 he married Sue. They recently celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary. Sue was the office manager for over 30 years. Dr. Burg and Sue have two children and five grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with their family, as well as volunteering at their grandchildren's elementary schools for many years. Dr. and Mrs. Burg have traveled worldextensively and especially enjoy cruising adventures.
Dr. Jennifer Chen was born in Taiwan and immigrated to California with her parents and little sister when she was 7 years old. Since then, she's spent most of her life in the SF Bay Area. She grew up in the small town of El Cerrito, attended UC Berkeley where received a BS in Molecular Environmental Biology. She worked as a research assistant at USDA prior to a change of career. Dr. Chen then attended the UCLA School of Dentistry where she received her Dental degree in 2006. In 2018, she completed a Fellowship in Implant Dentistry from the California Implant Institute located in San Diego.
Dr. Chen currently resides in Livermore with her husband and two boys. Her hobbies include card making and watching home improvement shows and Asian dramas. When she isn't working, you'll find her volunteering at her son's school. On weekends, she enjoys spending time with her family and taking her boys to new places. She loves to try foods from different parts of the world and would one day love to visit every continent (she's on the fence about Antarctica.)
Naomi was born and raised in the bay area. She has been in the dental field for over 11 years! She loves meeting new people, working with and helping them in any way she can. She enjoys spending time with her family, going on road trips, hiking, camping, barbequing, and playing board games.
Tresais a registered dental hygienist and has been a part of this dental team for over 19 years. She is also a part of the professional organization representing the East Bay as their Trustee at the state level of the California Dental Hygienists Association. In her spare time, Tresa is also involved in both of her children's schools as an executive board member on the PTA. She also enjoy family hikes, camping & reading.
Mara has been a registered dental assistant since 1992, and joined our team over 10 years ago. She loves the work and enjoys meeting new people. Mara is originally from Honduras and speaks fluent Spanish. In her spare time she likes going for walks and going to the movies with her son.
Desiree is a Registered Dental Hygienist who received her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the dental hygieneprogram at West Coast University in 2019. She is a Bay Area native and has lived in Orange County before returning home. She finds happiness and strength in maintaining oral optimal health to the public by providing the highest standard of care. Her passion is serving the public by creating healthier smiles to help those in need of all ages to all communities. She is very down-to-earth who enjoys public health, travel, beach, sports events, and most importantly, being with her family.
Michelle has been a registered dental assistant for over 20 years and has been a part of the team of Dr. Burg and Dr. Koidas practice since 2007. She thoroughly enjoys working in the dental field because she likes meeting new people and always looks forward to making her patients dental experiences better . In her spare time she likes to spend times with her son and dine out with friends and family.
Janine has been a hygienist since 2011. She graduated from the Chabot Dental Hygiene Program. Her passion is educating patients about their dental health and motivating them to get healthier smiles. Outside of work she enjoys anything new, sushi, classic movies, travelling near and far and spending time with family and friends.

I have been coming here for years and appreciate that the staff wants what's best for their patients. They will spend the time to teach you how to keep your teeth as clean and healthy as possible. Rockridge Dental is the place to go for comfortable and friendly dental services. Lastly, I love that they go above and beyond to modernize their office and protect germs from spreading

I feel so lucky to have found Rockridge Dental Studio. Dr. Koida and her wonderful team provide excellent service. Dr Koida never rushes through a visit and always remembers details of our last conversation. Dr. Koida and her staff are amazing! They are well organized, courteous and caring. I was impressed and comfortable with the precautionary measures being taken during these challenging times. I had a very comfortable dental cleaning and thorough exam with a detailed explanation of my needs. The front desk did a great job helping me with insurance benefits and scheduling. And after my first filling there, I continue to be pleased. Dr. Koida and staff had a wonderful chairside disposition, and her work had a gentle touch. Thank you Rockridge Dental for my cavity free smile!

A long overdue visit to the dentist after having relocated to the area was painless & pleasant, thanks to Dr. Jennifer Chen and the wonderful staff at Rockridge Dental Studio on a Saturday. These professionals work hard to make you feel comfortable during your visit. They are very patient, answer questions and concerns thoughtfully and practice very thorough COVID protocol. All of my dental visit fears were quickly put to rest from the minute I was greeted, thank you Naomi! Also wonderful follow-up!

The folks at Dr. Koida's office are AMAZING! The whole staff seem to genuinely enjoy their work, and each other. I hadn't needed any semi-serious dental work in years, and found that from start to finish, everyone has been incredibly friendly and welcoming, clearly explaining everything they needed to do, and answering any questions I had. They remember you, too! This office is particularly good at working with dental anxiety, and they will make you comfortable in every way possible. They even have an in-house dental plan if you don't have insurance. We've referred a few friends, and each one has had a great experience.
