Dr. Thuesons desire to pursue dentistry started in his youth, largely as a result of an unfortunate encounter during a basketball game involving his front teeth. A crown and some veneers later, his mouth and self-image were transformed, sparking interest in providing the same experience for others.
He received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Utah School of Dentistry. As a student, Dr. Thueson was heavily involved in the American Student Dental Association and the Utah Dental Association. He founded the Utah Dental Student Advocacy Day at the State Capitol with a concurrent resolution acknowledging the important clinical role dental students play with underserved populations. A passionate clinician, he earned awards for excellence in prosthodontics, and was named one of three students from his graduating class with the most promise in implant dentistry.
In late 2019, he travelled to the Dominican Republic, and placed 40 implants free of charge for patients at the Implant Training Center in Santo Domingo. Dr. Thueson is a member of the International Dental Implant Association and the American Dental Association.
