Dr. Alex Moore was born and raised in the Rockford area and is thrilled to return home and serve his hometown community. He attended Belvidere High School and then began his dental education by studying biology at DePaul University. While at DePaul, he worked in a molecular biology research lab studying nerve regeneration. He was able to present his findings at several international conferences as well as become a published author in the Journal of Comparative Neurology.
After graduating with honors, he received his doctorate at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. During his time at UIC he was awarded scholarships from the American Dental Association as well as the Illinois State Dental Society. He was one of two students selected to participate in the Endodontic Enhanced Specialization Track, which gave him greater experience in the field of endodontics. He was selected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, which is an honor society chosen by the faculty of the dental school that recognizes top students in each class. While at UIC, he was active in organized dentistry and was chosen to be the UIC Delegate to the Illinois State Dental Society.
He became fascinated with modern root canal therapy and elected to specialize in endodontics. He continued his education at Marquette University School of Dentistry where he earned his endodontic specialty certificate and masters degree. His masters thesis studied factors effecting root canal success and he presented his research at several international conferences. While at Marquette, he served as the Chief Resident and provided endodontic lectures to the dental students.
Missy was born and raised in the Ludington, Michigan area, and just recently moved to Rockford after spending the last year in Dallas, Texas. Missy has worked for many years in healthcare, including pre-hospital emergency care and serving on two volunteer fire departments and more recently with over four years in dentistry.
Missy has a husband, two daughters, and one son-in-law who she loves spending time with. Outside of work, she enjoys spending her time serving God, learning more about health and nutrition, quilting, and crafting. She and her husband are looking forward to exploring Rockford and all it has to offer!

Dr. Alex Moore is excellent in his field. I really hate having dental work done, but with Dr. Moore it is not painful nor stressful. It really helps that he explains the procedure step by step as he goes. Thank you, Dr. Moore!!

Unfortunately I've had the pleasure to get serviced by Dr. Moore and staff 3 times. Everytime It was easy goings. Everyone makes you feel comfortable and Dr Moore breaks everything down w his wisdom,knowledge and w 3D images. You know exactly what your getting into and shows you why teeth needs attn. Let's face it, no one looks forward to having work done on our teeth. When my regular dentist could not finish my root canal, he suggested Rockford Endodontics. I am so glad they did. First Class Service. So welcoming and so kind....they talked me through every moment of what they were doing from the start to the end. The entire staff were patient and helpful. They wanted me to be in zero pain and relaxed. When I arrived for my appointment all of my paperwork was already completed. Dr. Moore and his staff were professional and very polite. After my consultation and treatment, the pain I was feeling had disappeared. I highly recommend Dr. Moore for your dental needs.

My daughter had a root canal done with Dr. Moore and the entire experience was amazing. He explained everything step by step and always made sure she was comfortable and pain free. The entire staff was kind, professional, and made her feel at ease. They even called the next day to check on how she was feeling. No one wants to have a root canal, but the care I received from Dr. Moore's office was so outstanding that I wouldn't be the least bit concerned if I had to have another one in the future. Everyone is so caring and friendly. They work like a NASCAR pit crew during the procedure--speedy and efficient. Dr. Moore kept me fully informed each step of the procedure and it was over before I knew it. My experience was literally pain free--I couldn't have asked for better care.

Had a spectacular experience there, staff were patient, friendly, and kind. Amy and Dr.Moore made the root canal therapy not as freighting as I thought, and the procedures were painless. I highly would recommend this place.

Dr. Moore and his assistant were excellent. I needed a emergency root canal done after seeing my dentist the morning of because of the pain I was in. They got me in that day and took care of the situation. Took a few days to fully be relieved of the soreness but the excruciating pain was gone after the procedure. Highly recommend if you need a specialist. Very professional and caring.

Such a great experience! Getting a root canal done can literally be nerve wrecking & scary. I was pretty nervous about pain during & after but Dr. Alex assured me I wouldn't feel a thing & explained what to do right after to avoid any after treatment discomfort. He was very thorough with my root canal doing extra xrays & adjustments to assure qulaity work was being done which I appreciate so much! It's been 2 days since my treatment & I've had 0 pain. Highly recommend if you need an endodontist.

I had a wonderful first experience with Dr. Moore and his whole staff is incredibly nice and comforting. I had a re-treatment of a root canal done previously elsewhere and it was virtually pain free. They even provide heated neck wrap with essential oils which was very soothing. Dr. Moore was very thorough and explained everything well. He has a kind, calming demeanor that makes the whole experience much less stressful. I have a lot of anxiety with any dental procedure and the whole experience from beginning to end put me at ease and made it a good experience!
