Rockcastle Regional Hospital and Respiratory Care Center has been providing quality healthcare to Rockcastle and surrounding counties for more than 50 years. Starting as an acute-care facility in 1956, the hospital has adapted as healthcare needs have changed.
In 1980, Rockcastle Regional opened its first long-term care unit with 32 beds and added 28 more beds just 12 years later. In 2009, Rockcastle Regional again saw a growth of 14 beds. In 2017, another 28 beds were added to our Respiratory Care Center facility and another 16 were added in 2019 which offers comfortable, professional, long-term care for a total of 143ventilator-dependent patients, mostly from Kentucky.
We care for up to 30 patients in our acute-care facility, including a four-bed intensive care unit for those who may require intensive monitoring and advanced life support. And, hundreds of patients benefit from our convenient outpatient surgery and services.
Rockcastle Regional is a not-for-profit healthcare provider that accepts patients from all walks of life - regardless of age, sex, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, type of insurance, or ability to pay for services. Our staff cares for patients based on what will best meet their needs, not what is best for the bottom line.
In 1956, Rockcastle County leaders gathered to discuss the challenges facing their community. They recognized the need for quality, affordable healthcare, close to home. Out of this need, grew a hospital. Out of that hospital, grew better healthcare for Rockcastle and surrounding counties.
That same commitment to improving our communitys quality of life led us to expand our services in 1982 to include care for patients requiring long-term respiratory care. Since then, we have continued to expand and enhance services to provide a full continuum of healthcare options for area residents.
Today, in addition to inpatient, outpatient, and home and primary care services, we are the only facility in the state that specializes in caring for both adults and children who are dependent upon mechanical ventilation to breathe. In fact, with our most recent expansion to our Respiratory Care Center in 2019, we are now the largest freestanding ventilator-depended skilled unit in the nation. This is the best dentist ever. The staff is really nice and the dentist is as well and very helpful. I have been in pain for months now and have been to a couple other dentists who gave me the run about on getting teeth pulled. Last night I couldn't sleep due to how bad my pain was so this morning I called and they got me right in. I don't have insurance and they were the only ones who would work with me on getting my teeth pulled. I am so grateful for this dentist office and I will continue to go here for anything I need and I will definitely refer anyone to them. They are the best.

All the staff at Rockcastle Family Dentistry are so kid friendly. Appointments are on time. I love having to not wait and wait. My grandsons love Lura, the dentist. This is a very professional dental office. I highly recommend Rockcastle Family Dentistry.

I visit this place few weeks ago for my first time, I honestly had never been in a place that made me feel right at home, all the staff was so super friendly, I got answers on my first visit that I had waited 20 years for from others, I will definitely make this my hometown Dental, Amy is super sweet and so nice, I could go on forever how much I loved it here.

First time visiting the office. Staff and doctor was super nice answered all my questions and concerns. The office was so clean and staff took all precautions. I would highly recommend this dentist. I enjoyed going to the dentist first time ever, have a lot of anxiety normally but I felt so comfortable and my visit was great ..if I could give more stars I would ...thanks for a wonderful experience

Love this dental office and all the girls that work there. They are all very polite and listen to all your concerns and help you through whatever dental issues you are having. They are very informative and tell you everything that needs done and even plan out all your visits so you know what to expect and how much it's going to cost you. Highly recommend.
