Dr. Sam Koth is a graduate of South Dakota State University and Creighton University School of Dentistry. Dr. Koth grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota and began practice in Rock Valley in 2010. In 2013, Dr. Koth purchased Rock Valley Dental and built a new office for its location on Hwy 18 in 2017.

Dr. Koth has a strong commitment to learning through continuing education and is a member of the Spear education community,andPankey Institute. He has completed numerous courses in advanced training at The Pankey Institute and in 2019 completed his Mastership with the Academy of General Dentistry. This mastership program requires over 1100 continuing education hours in multidisciplinary dentistry over 5 years, and only 2% of dentists obtain this status. Dr. Koth, after years of airway and sleep education also completed his diplomacy in Dental Sleep Medicine in 2021 through the ABDSM.

Dr. Koth also has a strong passion for airway/sleep dentistry and is involved in bringing awareness on this topic through various study groups and colleagues. Dr. Koth has specialized training in oral appliance therapy for TMD/TMJ, and his office is one the first practices in northwest Iowa to offer myofunctional therapy options to his patients. Dr. Koth is a member of the American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry, Foundation for Airway Health, and Academy of General Dentistry, and Sioux City Dental Society.

Dr. Koth, his wife Katy, and children Peter, Davy, Roc, and Rosalyn, reside in Rock Valley. In his free time, Dr. Koth enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, golfing, sailing catamarans and reading to expand his knowledge. Dr. Koths true passion is dentistry, and he is proud to serve Rock Valley and the surrounding areas dental needs.

Dr. Amber Meyer grew up in Alcester, SD and she knew from an early age that she wanted a career in the medical field. Her favorite part of dentistry is getting to know her patients and building a relationship with them year after year in order to reach their desired health goals. Amber has a special love and patience for children and enjoys working with them to make dentistry a more enjoyable experience. She graduated from the University of South Dakota with a bachelors degree in biology in 2007 and then in 2011 received her doctorate degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. Upon graduation, she practiced in Watertown, SD for over 7 years and then in 2018 moved her young family back 'home' where they have really enjoyed being closer to family and being part of smaller community.

Dr. Amber has been married to her husband Justin for over 10 years and they have three energetic boys that keep them busy - Easton, Jake and Case. Outside of dental office, Amber enjoys doing anything that keeps her active: running, biking, fitness classes and chasing her boys. As a family they enjoy golfing, playing outside, going for walks, and spending time at the lake.

Sarah has enjoyed working in the dental field since high school and has been trained by many great dental professionals during her career. As a Registered Dental Assistant and Treatment Coordinator, she has had the opportunity to learn about different dental needs from many cultures worldwide. Rock Valley is her home along with her husband Jeff and their family. She is excited to be serving her community!

Mary has been working in the dental field for the past 34 years. She enjoys all different aspects of her job, but especially interacting with our great patients every day. Mary and her husband, Dave, spend most of their spare time with family and friends. They have 3 married children and 9 grandchildren. They love warm weather activities; camping, motorcycle riding, bicycle riding, and just being outdoors. Mary tries to live a healthy and active lifestyle and is thankful everyday for all the blessings in her life.

Holli has been working in the dental field for 37 years in Rock Valley. She and her husband, Bill, live in Doon. Holli considers herself blessed by getting to know many patients through the years. Her goal each day is to treat each patient as family. She enjoys biking, scrap-booking, and spending time with family.

Christian graduated from Boyden-Hull in 2009 and earned her Certified Dental Assistant and Expanded Function Dental Assistant degrees from Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City in 2010. Christian performed her clinical rotation with Dr. Jespersen (now retired) and was excited to join the Rock Valley team officially in May of 2010. Christian and her husband, Joel, have four children Isaak, Julian, Julisa and Josue. She enjoys spending time with her family including her parents, siblings, aunts and uncles.

Krysta Dissing joined our office Feb. of 2021. She graduated from West Lyon High School in 2020 and is working towards getting her Certified Dental Assistant degree. Krysta enjoys working and caring for our patients here at Rock Valley Dental. Krysta lives in Alvord, IA with her parents and younger brother. When Krysta isnt in the office she likes to go running and spend time with her family and friends.

Our dental hygienists emphasize good home care of the teeth and gums and provide comfortable and thorough preventive and therapeutic dental treatment in a caring setting. We are proud of our hygiene team's committment to quality and the outstanding care they provide to all the patients in our practice.

Amy completed her Dental Hygiene Degree at the University of South Dakota. She started working with Dr. Jespersen shortly after graduating in 1990 and later in the same practice with Dr. Koth since July 2012. Amy lives on an acreage outside of Larchwood with her husband, Jay. They have one daughter, Tiffany, who is finishing her degree in accounting and business. Amy and Jay enjoy spending time camping and fishing, mostly in Chamberlain, South Dakota. Amy thanks all of her patients for letting her assist them with their hygiene care for the past 28 years.

Kali was born and raised in Rock Valley. Kali graduated from the Rock Valley Community School in 2006 and obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of South Dakota in 2009. Kali started working for Dr. Jespersen in high school helping out wherever she was needed, and returned to the team as a dental hygienist after college. Kali enjoys practicing in her hometown and seeing familiar faces everyday. When Kali is not at the office she stays very busy with her growing family. She currently has four children, Trent, Kason, Brett, and Kenna. Kali enjoys being outdoors, playing volleyball, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.

Brittany joined our dental team in June of 2017. She was a graduate from DMACC Dental Assisting Program in 2014 and then went on to obtain her hygiene license from the DMACC Dental Hygiene Program in May 2017. She and her husband Tyler were recently married and they now reside in Rock Valley. They recently welcomed their son Bennett in August 2018. In her spare time Brittany likes to spend time with friends and family, go on walks with their dog Gracie, and enjoy many outdoor activities. She is excited to be a part of our community and get to know the patients at Rock Valley Dental.Brittany has been a great new asset to our dental team, and we are excited to see her career grow.

Taylor Bliek joined our team in September of 2018 and has been a familiar face to many and bright smile at our front desk ever since. Taylor returned to Rock Valley after spending a year practicing massage therapy in Des Moines. Taylor enjoys working and engaging with her hometown community. In her spare time, Taylor loves to spend time with her family and friends, traveling, and being outdoors.
